- The adapter allows you to mount your HP OMEN 25i monitor on VESA compatible mounting arm, wall mount or any kind of VESA compatible stand.

No sense it literally has a Vesa mount under the plastic
Of course it makes sense. VESA mount underneath the plastic is oriented by 45°. If your VESA arm does not support pivoting, your option is to either get the adapter or to get new VESA arm. The latter being more expensive.
I want to mount this monitor on wall will this adapter make that possible?
how do I remove the adapter because I want to go back to the stand
There is a hole on the front side of the adapter where the latch locks in. Press the latch in with your finger or a something as screwdriver and remove the adapter. You need to disengage the latch so it's not hooking on the adapter.

As far as I'm aware, that particular model does not require an adapter. Refer to the user manual regarding VESA installation.

ye, i just did this a moment ago u dont need a adapter to install a monitor mount just take of the plastic thing behind it you will se then unscreen the part and plug in the thang its a whole thing i cant really explain because itll take me a whole hour but take of the monitor mount thing on the monitor then youll see like a plastic which u can take off unscrew the thing and screw your monitor in
Yes, you can install it without the adapter, having in consideration that your monitor arm can rotate. If it can’t rotate then your monitor would be skewed.
Does this work with HP Omen 23.8 inch 165hz?
Please provide us with the exact model of your monitor. It should be written on the label that is usually placed on the backside of a monitor.

Please check user manual of that monitor, it says that the VESA mounting interface is supported by default.
