- How to Mount a NON Vesa Monitor.
I finally figured out a solution to not having vesa mounting holes in the back of my Desktop Monitor.
I was so close to purchasing a brand new monitor so that I could mount it on to a vesa mount, in the end I decided to do do a quick google search and found a really practical alternative.
Using a cheap vesa mount adapter:
amzn.to/2qZHo6K (amazon Link)
and
The Hydraulic North Bayou Vesa Mount:
amzn.to/2JshWye (amazon Link)
The adapter that I purchased can be found on the Canadian amazon website. ( amzn.to/2vQPuEA )
I bought this one off amazon.ca they unfortunately don't sell it on the Amazon. com website so I'll post some alternatives.

Been looking for a solution where i didnt need to drill holes. Thanks!
Sameee
Great instructions, but is there a solution if you want portrait orientation?
I totally agree.
Monitors must be eye level (monitor top bezel)
Made a big difference.
I will so buy monitor arm now ( just to clean up the desk a bit, even)
You just saved me a tonne of headache! Thank you for this!
can you rotate 90 degree? makes the monitor vertical?
This is perfect, thank you. I am reusing a dead laptop monitor as an extra monitor for my PC and was wondering how to make a stand for it.
Ha! That is so cool!
Thank goodness this wasn’t a howtobasic video lol
May I offer you an egg in this trying time?
Thank you for making this! Exactly what I needed!
Just watch out to make sure your connections aren't right in the middle of the back! His are at the bottom so no problem but many monitors have the connectors right in the middle! It can still work but maybe not with this design. You need 2 longer arms than the 2 others as it won't be equidistant from the mounting points. Its very good he mentions the lack of portrait option as many people get a monitor arm for just this feature. Of course you could just get 4 more grip pods and bolt them in I guess. I'd want one where the gripping feet aren't so big. These one really calls attention to itself.
One more problem that some people have is when the back of the monitor is curved. Check for this.
This is the most helpful video ever
why does this guys voice remind be of moist critical voice lol
lmao right
I had to use these kind of clamping adapters since the msi vesa adapter plates arent available that much. Then i just changed my mind to have it mounted as if my monitor is a vesa comptible one inorder for it to get a more cleaner look. I just bought a stainless steel plate from a local fabrication shop and then drilled two holes according to the hole that my MSI Optix G241VC monitor stand's connecting into. Then drilled more holes on the stainless plate on each corner that matches the vesa mounting plate. I just screwed them in, used washers to get a little bit of space between the two plates and to give more sturdiness and tightness on every single screws. Then it was done. It was just under $10 and still working up to this day. :) Hope this will help too. If you need an idea on how to do it. Just watch MSI's non vesa tutorial. Youll get what I mean.
this would be so much better if the part of the arms that grab the monitor from the front werent so damn big, if they were nice and thin/flat i think it would look a lot better because personally the only thing that might stop me from getting this is the way it looks from the front
Just bought a dell monitor for my second screen and noticed it didn't have the fucking mount brackets on the back, this is a life saver, cheers 👍
Why am I here my setup uses 100x100 vesa alr
Would it work if my monitor is curved?
HOLY SHIT!!!!!! I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR A MOUNTING SYSTEM LIKE THIS! I got an xp pen artist 15.6 drawing monitor and I have been trying to find a way to put a mounting arm on it. Thanks for posting this
I got the pro the other day and I'm in the same boat lol.
It is ugly! My monitor has super small bezels and this makes it ugly!
Does it work with curved monitors
2:24 Do you know any solution to mounting the monitor vertically since that one doesnt work?
maybe using epoxy or double sided VHB tape, only issue would be trying to remove the monitor without damaging it after
Does it work on a curved monitor
I don't know man there is a lot of flex on your desk where it connects Holy
I have the exact same monitor xD
*DONT WASTE YOUR TIME TRYING AMAZON FOR THE ADAPTER BRACKETS FOR THE MAIN MONITOR STAND BY USING LINK HE PROVIDED IN DESCRIPTIONS*
We tried a couple times adding the curved brackets to cart and checking out but it kept saying error and to add a new address but then the only default locations for shipping are located in Canada and so they refuse to ship to the United States.
Tried searching other Amazon listing and even Ebay but absolutely no results for it
Im gonna do this someday because my monior mount is gigantic
can you put it vertical
Sry this is the last way i would mount my monitor to a vesa mount
cool video but that mount is absolutely butters
But what If you have a curved monitor
May I confirm that it does not work vertically?
This is just what I was looking for. My 1st monitor does have VESA, but the old 2nd monitor doesn't. I would like to make my desk easier to clean and buy monitor stand, but it doesn't make much sense, if the other monitor still sits on the table. Now I have to check a version, which doesn't block my connectors and I am good to go.
Thanks for the idea!!!! i'm waiting for my new desk i ordered, now i can mount my monitor this way to make it look extra dope. i'll link the photo of the setup when i'm done.
Did you finish the setup? Link it im curious
Lol, havent you finished yet ?
So anything I can do to make it vertical
does it work for dell SE2419HR monitor? The top bezel is much thinner (around 8mm). Will it disrupt the view?
those this work for curved monitor
it looks like the monitor cannot turn portrait
Great video. Straight to the point.. no irritating music and daft graphics. Just what I was looking for and has stopped me disposing of four monitors. I like the sound of your microphone. What is it please ? Thanks again from the UK.
Its so ugly
This is an excellent video however Amazon does have the adapter and it’s called: WALI VESA Mount Bracket Adapter Monitor Arm Mounting Kit for Screen 13 to 27 inch, VESA 75mm and 100mm (UVVEP)
my monitor is curved XD
Can’t I just buy a plate adapter?
u should put the block on the bottom
Hey Eeyore. Anytime I cant sleep I put you boring video on!!!!
anyone have any reccomendations for mounts for curved monitors, i want it mounted but it dosent come with the holse for it to be mounted
If u try you might have luck to find an adapter just for your monitor. For example if u have a HP 25er then search up (monitor model) vesa adapter. Then You might find something that connects your stand to the vesa try it and you might find one for your monitor
Helpful but it looks like shit
Can it fit a 15 inch monitor?
my other monitor has vesa mount holes ... my issue is that both my monitors have the mounting holes in diffrent locations, and the monitor arm i bought makes you mount both of them on the same level but the one monitor has the holes in the middle and my other one has the holes on the bottom, any way i can mount my other monitor the same height as them both? as i do not want to re-buy monitors (i have 2 acer nitro gaming monitors, and dont wanna re-buy one cause they was both expensive)
Any chance someone from CA can ship one of these to the U.S.? I'd cover all costs + $10 for helping me out :)
I gotchu, I'll ship it now
Thank you 🙏 your Awesome. Your video saved me from doing something stupid.
I was considering having holes drilled
In the back.
Lol u r rartes
your = you're
They could have put 2 more arms at the sides, such that the monitor doesn't fall when turned vertically...
I have no idea why they make monitors without holes and dont include a VESA adapter🤷♂️
Thanks for the video, i'm glad you showed the problems with portrait mode.
This is a great video but would this work on a curved monitor?

@@drig7847 I bout it and it does work 👍
@@nox1087 oh thanks a lot for the answer

Does it work for curved monitors
is this okay for a 24 inch curved monitor?

Is this compatible for curved monitors?
Does it work with curved monitors too?
Yo I have a Samsung 32in curved monitor with out a vesa mount screw holes. I have no idea what to do
I wonder if anyone has seen any of these things where they grab the monitor by the corners. This way it could be rotated by the monitor arm with no worry about it slipping.
i have a frameless monitor will this vesa mount still work?
every dell monitor can't vesa mount
This stand use for wall led tv i.e use or not

This is late but if you haven’t already found the solution, the answer is no. You have to find a specific one for curved monitors :)
Would I have to drill holes into my desk for the vesa mount?
is this moistcritikal? lol
Hehe, nope
@@TechManZ tf? hahaha still replying even the video is 5 years old
Can u rotate it vertically?
Can this fit curved monitors?
I think a vesa adapter compatible with these non vesa mount monitors are better option than these brackets. More stability and no worries about damaging frames or tilting the monitor.
How?
I have 2 small tv kinda like monitors so this is perfect
Cool But the stick out on the side is a drag
have the same monitor. just remove the stand and screw your mount to the existing screws.
Is there any way to use this solution for dual monitors with no mounting screws?
Will this work for my 24-inch curved monitor?
Can the adapters be used for vertically mounting the monitor?

I have a question @TechManZ can you move the monitor back if the stand gets to close to your eyes?
Yessir!
does this work with curved monitors?
