What a voice! Superb playing. What a great musician you are. And NO, you‘re not too old to sing Queen lol your voice sounds fresh amd young btw. Can‘t stop listening, please upload more! Thanks.
Ran across some of your videos while looking at reviews of the CP88 and now I’m a subscriber. Love your voice, song choices and playing. Thanks for reviewing this board and please keep sharing your wonderful music. God Bless. 🙏🏼🇺🇸
That sounds so much brighter than mine! Are you using any EQ or anything on the piano sound? I've been frustrated because I haven't been able to find anything that can fully replace my CP33. I'd tried a Nord Piano 5 but there were many issues with it, not the least of which was a muddier sound than I was used to. But the CP88 (what I ended up getting) seems to also have both darker and thinner piano sound than does the 33. My initial attempts to tweak with the EQ haven't resulted in anything better, and I've been a bit stuck. But the brightness of your sound here caught my ear...
Yes I tweaked most of the sounds with EQ as well as Touch Sensitivity. Many of my sounds can be downloaded free off of Soundmondo. I notice that many of the sounds I audition on Soundmondo other than mine seem a bit weak or dull.
@@RonWarrenmusic57 I thought the 88 only allowed import of settings, but not new sounds? I haven't used Soundmondo yet myself. But I'd be tickled pink if there was some way to get the fullness going... it was a bit of a disappointment to spend the most I have yet on a board to end up feeling it was a step back from something I'd had for a decade. lol
@@Mywebmaestro You can download sounds that others have created using the voices (the waveforms) the CP88 has. You can’t introduce any sounds that don’t use those waveforms. You also need to make sure you have the latest update (1.5 as of today). I think a new update is soon coming.
@@RonWarrenmusic57 ok, got it... thank you for explaining. :-) I do have 1.5, but am still learning the system's options, etc. I'd originally chosen the CP33 because of it's distinct lack of a lot of buttons lol. I did see your name on a bunch of sounds on the soundmondo site... I will have to check that out soon here. Thanks again!
I believe the musician makes it sound better. I considered one of these, ended up with MODX8 instead. I only play at home, and not as well. Played bass guitar in the 70’s, if I play in a band again it will probably be bass again. But I had to subscribe after hearing you.
Wow you’ve got the most amazing voice I’m very impressed Was initially trawling to hear the cp88 as thinking of buying either this or Roland FP90X I’m classical pianist Rach Tchaikovsky Bach Chopin Liszt etc I could have a lot of fun with the cp88 it’s just a matter of is the action excellent and the tone , like does it move you ? does it like make you want to play it all the time? Thanks Al
Thanks. The action is very nice. As far as connecting with it, I want to play it all the time. I believe for you and your genre of music, the Nord Grand 2 is your ticket. The Nord pianos are quite remarkable and have that emotional content you are seeking. The new Nord Grand 2 has the Kawai keyboard.
@@MsrAlaindeFerrier Well, to each his own. You may consider a Kawai MP11SE. I've never played one, but many say it's the closest thing to a real grand. Hope you find what you're looking for.
@@RonWarrenmusic57 thankyou for your advice I’m terribly terribly picky with makers Had Kawai hate their sound no balls to it I’m thinking of going for the Roland
@@davem8687 You can create your own performances and store/name them on the CP88. There are 20 banks, and each bank can hold 8 performances. Just dial up the one you want and hit enter and you're ready to go. Does that answer your question?
@@RonWarrenmusic57 OK Great - Yes that answers my question - I have a Yamaha MODX keyboard but your playing and the sounds are making me want to go up to that kind of board.
Just connect your CP88 to your computer or iPad. Log in to Soundmondo and upload or download sounds. It's real easy. As far as memory, I've uploaded a lot of sounds. I've never read about a limit on memory.
Dear Ron, would you be so nice to send the settings of Steely Dans PEG at Minute 18:30 eventualy on your Yamaha Soundmondo Account? Would be very helpfull, to build or create my setting for Donald Fagens I. G. Y. we want to play in our Band. Many thanks for your wonderfull job, that helps all over the World. Thank you so much. I have many videos on my UA-cam channel.
The problem of your review is that you play and sing so well that we almost forget about keyboard, lol. Thanks for sharing this amazing content!
😂Thanks man.

Wow. You can sing man. Clicked on the video for the review of the cp88 , but totally ignored it and just appreciated your singing. Keep it up.

I bought a MODX8 and after one rehearsal returned it. For me, it just didn't cut through like I wanted. Still a nice board though. Enjoy it!
