    love ur voice and your teaching vocabulary...I am a hairstylist for thirty some odd years, and do minor barber techniques..I have a client that asked for this pompadour skin fade ..which I never do!! Obviously I would love to keep him as a valued customer ..so I turned to utube ,and found your video and followed your teachings. Normally I would never create so many lines and then take them out ..but as doing my first fade ever and being a master stylist already ..I felt it was a safe proof formula for my fade ...It worked out beautifully!!! So thank you so much for all your help!!! Never to old or to experienced to learn ....stay humble and open to the journey ...I think I need more barber tools!!!

      +Carlos Avila aye bruh I feel u. I'm a junior rn and I started cutting last year. The best way to learn is actually doing it. When I first started cutting, I was doing it for free. Sometimes, I was even willing to pay my friends to let me cut their hair. It'll all come over repetition bro

    3/4/2019 - Out of all the videos I've seen on UA-cam, this has got to be the "BEST" one I've come across as a new barber. Hats off to you!!!! First of all, it's not fast forwarded, you've explained all the steps in detail.You've informed new barbers (as well as barber students) that it will take time to learn this haircut. (Bald/drop fade) You encouraged others by letting them know, that they will get better through repetition, repetition, repetition and not to sell yourself short when it comes to charging for a detailed haircut such as this. I could go on and on, but I think what I've said already is self explanatory. You've done a wonderful job in the making of this tutorial. Please keep them coming and keep up the "OUTSTANDING" work. (You are definitely need in this industry)

    Chris, God bless!you hiting the nail on the head every time in your explanation of what is going on during the process of a cut.all of these details you are pointing are so important to all of us learning. To understand the different issues that we face with every client.Not to knock off on anybody that's in celebrity status, but for those of us that work with a myriad of different clients,these bits and pieces of information are golden . kudos man.keep up the good work.

    Hey bro, been watching your vids recently, Im a dad starting out at home, been practising on my sons hair since we in these lockdowns here in NZ. Your cuts are definately of a high standered, coming from a guy who was real picky on who to go to, to get that smooth fade, since the 90s. Everything youve said about what to look out for when trying to fade, im finding out real quick, like trying to get that line out, especially the first guideline, the rest of the back for me has been a challenge and trying to get the sides to connect nicely like you say. Thanks Uso for the free tips! God bless. Keep it up.

    thats fresh! in terms of pricing, in Los Angeles, south central specifically, thats 15 bucks, but i throw a $5 tip...so $20 haircut. if you go out to the westside thats like $25 -$30.,but i always say that the best barbers are in the hood. the barbers in my hood knock this haircut from 25-30mins so I agree with your timing.

      +bruce cisneros hey Bruce I believe I can help you with your question!! I'm actually going to start doing videos myself. I wouldn't suggest making your first preliminary line with a shaver or razor. If your fairly new to haircutting I suggest using your normal Andis or masters zero to start your preliminary line first then followed by the half. Use a balding blade like your fade blade to take out your line at the end the t-liner then 5 star in that order top to bottom steps. Just line using the corner of the blade do it with the 5 star too! I hope this help Check my IG out Papitokuts

    • @brucekis1
      @brucekis1 9 років тому +1

      +Cuba DaBarber I see what your saying but I do have clients who demand a fade with the shaver or straight razor its no problem but It takes me forever taking that shave line out I use my fade master for these cuts I found a easy way to do it now...what I do is use my andis shaver and do the fade and then at the end of the cut I use a bonse shaver from Wal-Mart since its a little weaker and just slide it down the fade not putting pressure just slideing through the fade and that works good!!! just have to stretch the skin and be gentle but thank you I'll be waiting for your vids we could never stop learning

    Excellent cut. keep your mind open to new tools and techniques. Think outside the box...25 yrs cutting and still searching for new ways to do better. I agree with your saying that everyone cannot do this cut just as everyone cant draw a portrait. Artists like this are born with the potential and have developed it by learning how to create designs with clippers as the tool rather than a paintbrush or pencil.

    Chris, today I had a very similar cut today. That type of hair is very challenging, mine didn’t come out so well and I was thinking, I don’t think any barbers have ever made any trouble shooting videos. That would be so super helpful. I see what you do and try to mimic it, but it doesn’t always work out that way.

    Been cutting my hair for years and I get very good compliments. I'm loving that drop fade. This is my third time trying to master that on myself,.. Please do some videos on comb overs for shorter hair like a number 6..

    Amazing!, I did somewhat of a similar cut to this today . the back didn't come out to bad but I messed up on the sides, it was my first time trying to fade . i kinda get discouraged sometimes cause i know guys tend to say girls cant cut hair , i think i do a decent job . but I'm def going to keep watching your videos to learn 😊 great job tho!!
