    Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us. I've picked up a lot of tips from you. I was so afraid of fading ethnic hair and now I actually feel more comfortable with it. I have black men request me more by the day. Keep up the good work. Thank you again!!!

    I cut my own hair, learned off UA-cam videos. Am glad I came across your video, I wrote down every step so that I can remember. I have to say it came out good. Not as perfect but I like it. You explain everything by detail and that helps others like my self to learn. I enjoy cutting my own hair. Thank you for sharing this video. Your a bad ass barber💯🙏🏼

    Sometimes we do things not knowing who we will inspire. I started going to barber school couple months ago with out any knowledge on how to do a cut or hold a clipper. I searched on UA-cam for tutorial and I found your videos step by step and I started to copy your steps on my classmates and I started to get better at it. You inspired me and motivated me to try different haircuts. I thank you and I wish you the best for the 2016. Happy New Year!

    I'm not a barber but I cut my own hair and my wahl's guard popped off while going kinda hard on a fade and when it popped off I cut a bald spot in my hair. I learned to be a little softer on the clippers and haven't done it again haha.

      Benton James I’m heading to a barber shop within a few weeks. What numbers does a fade consist by any chance? Does it leave the top portion of the hair and focus on the back? I would really appreciate your response.

    • @BentonAJames
      @BentonAJames 6 років тому +1

      Kevin Ramos hey brother! From the fades I've cut, the sides and back will be the same length. I like to start out literally with the zero length and work my way up about 1/4 to 1/2 inch at a time. Hope that helps!

    • @G0ddammitB0bBy69
      @G0ddammitB0bBy69 6 років тому +1

      Benton James thank you so much! I really appreciate your response :D! When they ask me what numbers I want for my hair do I just say “I want a fade” and they’ll know what to do? I’m sorry for bugging you 😭!

    • @BentonAJames
      @BentonAJames 6 років тому +1

      Kevin Ramos Haha it's cool man. If they know what they're doing, all they'll ask you is what kind of fade you want. Otherwise they'll probably give you a Caesar fade or Princeton fade. The only difference between the two is where cutting the hairline starts. The Caesar cuts off at the occipital bone while the Princeton starts where your hair naturally grows. There are many different kinds of fades. Hope that helps

    A lot of the boys in the shop I work at have these clippers, but mainly use it for clipper over comb. I have used this to fade but couldn't bang out a blurry one like this. I'm assuming you don't use this as your main clipper, would you disagree?
    There was so much useful information in this video, usually I won't even bother listening to people, but you kept it strait forward and simple!

    If I want to keep that length of hair on top of my head, what size blade should I tell my barber? I had a really high top, and he cut it down to about this length a few months ago. I told him I wanted to keep it this length on the top, but every time I come in, he cuts it shorter and shorter. It's really annoying because I don't like my hair really short. Would this be blade #8?

      +chris bossio do you usually leave it on MF?
      iv had some similar situations in exposure while being the camera man or using my tripod having it on AF.

      Yeah manual is the way to go. The autofocus settings need to be set right because if not itll focus on your clipper then the client 3847382 times lol
