    Chris bro I appreciate the vids your one of my fav barbers and instructors. Every video is very detailed. Im just starting and im molding my skills off your vids. I just have one request if you will. I notice every client come in with short hair, I would really like to see what methods you take in chopping down a fro to a fade, or something similar It would really help a lot.

    Hey, Chris I sampled the tomb45 gel. The gel smells great and has nice slip. It's not as thick as elegance clear gel which i've been using for about two years now. I do like the Egel but your gel doesn't seem to dry up as quick. I'd love to see a larger bottle. I currently get 17 oz from elegance @ $10 a bottle. Hope that's in the works. Thanks love the videos and great knowledge always. #respect 👌💈👌💈

    Hey Chris man since I last left a comment on one your videos one of the dudes that I went to Barber school(which I never finished) with has a shop. I been in there gettin it in man I still gotta a ways to go but man I'm making some money n I'm not even touching my 9-5 job checks the last few times. But I getting better the more I practice. Man I just wanna tell u thanks for your videos man they simple n detailed I look at others man if never had any Barber experience you'd be lost. They don't tell u whether the clipper open r close r what. Long story short can u do a tutorial on a curly fro taper someone with good texture hair but curly. And if have time do a vid on lining more in depth. Because I have some excellent tools but my linings not coming out crispy working in the shop n fellas telling me n experiencing it's all how u hold ur edger based on how there set. Thanks man.

    So to basically fade you start the bottom with the clipper open or closed? And then you open or close it a little till there's a fade

    • @slice709
      @slice709 8 років тому

      you start fading line with open then you do the close for the line to disappear for good fade.

    For what you have done, I consider that custom and your right about going according to there shape of there head. And I appreciate that, now, what are you or the shop generally charging for work like this?I believe you guys are under paid and you all should get together and united to double and maybe in some cases even triple your prices it's justified my opinion.Plain hair cut, set price, then comes all the upselling. outline+ shape up+ fade+ razor+ eyebrows+ and so on. Don't just do it and let it be all included. And thanks for your vids :)

    • @elliottneblett2208
      @elliottneblett2208 8 років тому +1

      +BLacKNesMonsTaz you're better off setting a price for the cut at a higher rate and including the razor and so on. (clearly fades, tapers and so on would be a bit more than an all over even) if you ask me, every barber should bring out the razor and clean the lines up with every cut. only upsales should be hot towel shaves, wash and rinse, color and designs. everything else should come with the cut. no extra charge for edge ups and razor use. if your barber charges 15 dollars for the fade and 5 dollars for the edge or 8 dollars for a razor edge, that's bogus and you need to find a good barber. only under paid barbers are those that dont put the proper value on their work or there work is shit.

    • @elliottneblett2208
      @elliottneblett2208 8 років тому +1

      +BLacKNesMonsTaz when you bring out the razor and clean the hairs sticking up with shears or a clipper, that just shows the client ur dedication to them and their cut and they would have no issues paying a lil more for a cut like that. its easier to charge 25-30 when you go the extra step and get your client extra clean and is worth it to the barber to do so rather than a quick 15.00 cut that probably turns out like shit. the less the charge, the less the quality in my eyes because the barber needs to rush to knock out 2 cuts to get the same pay.

    • @BLacknesmonstaz
      @BLacknesmonstaz 8 років тому

      +Elliott Neblett Agreed. I wondered the same too, but this vid here I think this cut is worth $45. Cant be a set price, every head is different in general. Example, counter tops needed to be installed, they came looked at whats needed then gave me the price. I'm thinking the same for this here.
