      +chris bossio Yo!!! This is my actual cut, but I never could get barbers to stay consistent with cutting it the same way and they kept wanting to take the slight drop in the front higher...so I bought my own damn clippers and been gradually working on it myself. I'm getting better and MOS DEF thanks for your knowledge brother!!!

    Ok, first and foremost, I truly admire your passion and drive for barbering. I get it! I'm a licensed cosmetologist myself, and I enjoy watching your videos and it's very obvious you're just so talented and your passion for this is what makes you successful, and I have a very similar passion for the same industry and it's really a true love for the art of hair design. You're so inspiring and I wish I could work with you and learn from you, I feel I would take away so much more because I would get the entirety of the experience and be able to feel the right angles to hold the clippers and how to secure the rocking motion to ensure a smooth fade without creating another line, etc....anyways, thank you for making such awesome videos and staying so committed and passionate about what you do, it's truly inspirational and motivational.

    Your videos are the best. Could you do a similar video, perhaps even longer hair left on top and give more detail about your approach to blending the top of the hair with the low faded portion? That seems to come natural to you, but that's where I am struggling most when cutting friends and family's hair. Thanks, keep up the good work!

    THANK YOU! this is one of the best tutorials I've seen and I've been mining through quite a few of them. You do an amazing job and I'm so glad you are willing to take the time to teach.
    I do have a question though, how do you cut for someone who has multiple girigiri... (whorls?)? My son has 3, one on the brow (that kind of goes away if we let his hair grow out enough, one to the side of his nape which we try to keep at zero, and one that makes his hair look like a palm tree is trying to sprout (usually within a week and a half of his last cut)...
    Fortunately he's too young to really care right now... but that isn't always going to be the case. We've had spotty luck trying to find a decent barber, so I'm trying to learn how to cut his hair properly now, before he's old enough to care. Do you have any suggestions?

    @chrisbossio hey Chris I do a lot of drops fades, just started couple months ago barber school. That's a good tip right there at 2:20 clarifies that the first transition should be bout an inch then after, u can shorten the length to half inch because it is getting darker the contrast. Thanks bro. I watch all ur videos.

    So what’s easiest for most people? To fade from top down or bottom up. Meaning after you put your guide with the lever open should u immediately drop down and close the guard and fade up or should u start closing gradually and work your way down from the guide line. What’s the general consensus?? Help me out UA-cam

    Does the 1/16 guard go between the 1 closed and Blade Open? And is the 1/16 supposed to be open or closed or just play with the lever as needed? Good vid btw I'm going to try this bro

    • @Beatbyawhiteboy
      @Beatbyawhiteboy 8 років тому +1

      +Turboman Yes, between 1/8 closed and the half blade. And play with the lever. I have it halfway, or closed sometimes if there's still a line.

    • @popemalevolent1
      @popemalevolent1 8 років тому

      The grey or green (uk version I have) guard goes between blade open (0.5) and the 1 guard. With the blade closed, grey guard on you have the same as 0.5. Opening it gradually brings it to 0.75. Wish I had these guards in college!

    I have hair that falls in the category between tall and short but idk if I want a taper fade or flattop. I have a square jaw and strong features so I feel I should get a taper. But again idk. Any suggestions.

    what trimmers are you using? and why did you take the cover off from the blade? i have the andis t liners. but they arent great for coarse hair. i notice they pull the coarse hairs. is there an edger to use for coarse hair?
