Thanks for the advice! Got my new cattleman (bran) and it had a dark mark on the crown. Really small mark and didn’t want to go through return if I didn’t have too. A little sandpaper. Bang gone! I used some 220 grit to start with. Thought finer to start and it cleaned up. Used the hat brush and cleaned up the fluff. You’d never know.

I have a felt hat that needs to be deep cleaned. My dad purchased it in Africa 70 years ago. He asked me if I could have it cleaned for him but the local cleaners and cobble shop won’t touch it. Are you up to the task?

Why carve off parts of Mr Williams's designed hat? My Akubra from the mid-'70s is precious to me. When I want to clean I will let it soak for 12 hours in just water. It works.

Hats By The Hundred does the Cattleman in Sand come with raw edge like some of the other models and does that affect the price either way?
