I really actually like your point on Ben Gunn the Robot. I agree that if he was given more screen time earlier in the film, and more of a reason for us as an audience to attatch to him, he would be a more loved character!
I never realized Jim's clothing changes throughout the film! Really cool observation! I wanna go back and rewatch for other small things the crew might have done.
This and Atlantis are actually 2 of my favorite movies ever. Animation had something special in the early 2000's, and they were fools for abandoning it.
Such a masterful analysis of a criminally underrated movie! So full of heart! I love all of the deep dives you take in to seemingly tiny details. Thanks for giving it the credit it deserves!
"You're gonna rattle the stars"-- still one of my favorite movie quotes ever. So simple, but so powerful. I love deeply you dove into Silver's character, very underrated villain, who isn't really a villain.
I can't believe how well you covered one of my favorite topics. I especially like the part where you talk about the art of the movie, and the colors. Truly an underrated masterpiece.
TP is one of those films that I wish everyone in the world knew about, but part of me also hope it always remain an underrated masterpiece, so that us fans have our own little thing to always secretly enjoy.
Absolutey masterful video. I wonder if Musker and Clements would have more movies under the belt if it wasn't for the poor performance of Treasure Planet??
Jesus christ, I'm only halfway through the video, but I'm gonna have to come back to it later to finish it because I'm simultaneously moved by the passion of all the creative minds and talents that went into Treasure Planet and depressed knowing that Disney killed it.
I’m so happy you found the video and that you’ve been listening! I feel exactly like you are feeling- Treasure Planet brings me so much happiness and sadness at the same time… I hope you come back to listen to the rest!

I plan to come back and listen to this again every few months.
That means a lot! Thank you!

I hope so too. Thank you for watching!
Wow. I never thought I'd find such a good description to why I love this movie.
I'm glad you love this movie too.
This and Atlantis are actually 2 of my favorite movies ever. Animation had something special in the early 2000's, and they were fools for abandoning it.
I agree... it's too bad.
100%. That style of animation being abandoned is a travesty.
This film will always hold a special place in my heart.
Treasure Planet is unbelievably underrated. Jim is extremely well written!
I agree!
