- We teach our students how to live in the world, not how to change it. Pair that with the constant access to the unfiltered, harsh realities of our world, and we have a strange recipe for fear and apathy. In this presentation from the 2018 Boston EdTalks, Alvaro Peters, Speech and Composition Teacher at KIPP Academy Lynn in Lynn Massachusetts, shows how he was able to spin what had been a class on equity gone awry into an important teachable moment. By giving his students the “Knowledge of Systems,” he strives to keep them from falling victim to those systems.

He might be short be his wisdom is taller than most of our's
JESUS is the only change, but the change he started to bring about when he walked the earth severely challenged and started to topple the then hierarchy of those who sat in Moses' seat (Pharisees, scribes, and other religious rulers) then ("we will not have this Man to reign over us" Luke19:14). No different today in the form of denominations and churches who SAY with the LIPS things like "Jesus is Lord" etc but their hearts are far from Him. Having a FORM - a FORMAT - a FORM of godliness but denying the power thereof is definitely for today's modern church system. Then it says, "FROM SUCH TURN AWAY"... AMEN to THAT.
