  • At a confirmed 600 grams, this iXS brain-saver is one of the lightest full-face helmets available thanks to its clever construction. The iXS Trigger FF builds on the company's Trigger AM half-shell helmet, providing full-face protection on more rides. It's fully certified up to the DH-specific ASTM 1952 standard and achieves its low weight by relying on an in-mold, single-layer EPS construction with an internal X-Frame "skeleton" molded into the chin bar to increase frontal impact strength and security.
The Trigger FF is made in two shell sizes with an adjustable internal retention system and a set of different thickness pads to fine-tune the fit. The visor is adjustable and there is a clever "gripper pad" around the back to help make sure your goggles stay in place.
    Highlights:
    - Fully in-molded EPS construction
    - X-Frame internal crash cage
    - Vortex ventilation with 5 intake vents and 17 exhaust vents
    - ErgoFit Ultra Retention System
    - FidLock magnetic closure system
    - VentMesh padding
    - Two sets of cheek pads for fit customization
    - Single-stage adjustable visor allows space for goggle storage
    - Goggle gripper
    - MSRP: $249 USD
Overall, we were very pleased with the iXS Trigger FF helmet. It has amazing airflow and fit in a lightweight package. In our opinion, it is a great option for those looking for a bit of extra protection on those days where you're pedaling up just as much as you're going down.

Have you considered a lightweight full-face helmet for your rowdier rides? What do you think of the Trigger FF?

I just ordered the newer MIPS version of this. Looking forward to trying it out soon (by which, I mean not trying it out in terms of crashing!!).

Moved to this from Fox Metah, as I wanted the safety assurance of a ff. Massively better in fit, great ventilation!

Great video, question regarding the fit, you said size down and that M/L Is to big, so ir I'm 59 size I should get the S/M?

Probably going to get this over the TLD stage and Fox proframe I've been comparing it too, looks great, nice and lightweight and has the least cons of the other 2 (would get the fox but the visors static)

Anyone have any thoughts about a comparison of the iXS Trigger with the 7iDP Project 23 ABS? While slightly heavier, it's $100 cheaper and more custom fitted -- and, I'm not doing any major DH/shuttles or anything. Mostly just pushing the envelope of interesting trails and jumps for the fun of it, but will see myself needing FF pretty soon. Would be interested in your thoughts.

I’m definitely considering this helmet. But I’m torn between sizes. I’m right in the middle at 58cm. I ordered a pro frame M and was to snug but fit fine with the smallest pads. But those thin pads are a joke so returned it. I figured I was L with fox. But I the adjustability with the trigger sounds more ideal. What size would you recommend?

Can I use the MIPS liner from my IXS Trigger AM MIPS on the Trigger FF non-MIPS?

Nice video, I have an IXS fullface 2015 model and I like it a lot but once I had face plant and could hit my nose in the trail so I am afraid of IXS helmets. But I have one DH shirt that is the best I ever had, 4 years and looks new. This new one looks good but the lack of some Mips style is sad.

Anyone know if this helmet works well with a GoPro chin mount? I refuse to get a helmet that doesn't work with one lol. That angle at the chin on the iXS doesn't look like it would play well with a mount...
