I agree with the comment below… this is by far, the BEST unboxing video I’ve seen! VERY detailed review! Thanks! I’m definitely ordering one after seeing this video! 👍
Thank you! In the past I’ve dove rite into builds and it’s not like you can’t get it done that way…but on this 550x build I really took my time and enjoyed it…that helicopter flew perfect and has continued to. I’ve learned all kinds of little techniques from videos, so I try to capture and share as much as possible. If there is some kind of flaw in the kit you want to catch it early, I also find it good to familiarize yourself with the parts and directions…I really enjoyed that build. Thanks again for tuning in!
Yes, very similar. Almost exact same tools…similar electronics. Review the manual, gather your tools…enjoy the build. Thanks for checking out the channel!
I purchased it through the Align Trex shop because they have excellent customer support. You’ll have to visit the sight for current pricing and availability. Thanks for checking out the channel!
Have you built a heli before? Where are you going to fly, is it a large area? I’m a fan of go up sizes as you go…there’s definitely something to be said for working your way up.
@@rcflightz2058 I’ve never built a heli but i know how to set it up. I usually fly in a runway with my friends and try their which are mostly 700’s and I’m in love them but sadly can’t afford one because i just got an nx10 and i feel like a 550 is a perfect size+ can it run 12s? Would be better
@@Twx97 I think a first build should be a 470…perfectly capable helicopter, lower cost batteries…lower cost parts, less flying area requirements. If it were me I’d go 470. You won’t regret it. Then go 500 or 550. Every size is a little different. Hope that helps, safe flying.
@@Twx97 I’d go LM cause I prefer Ikon FBL and given your experience I don’t think you’ll have any issues getting servos set-up. I was impressed with the 470…felt much larger than a 360 in flight. It’s a HUGE step up from the M2 and I think you’ll be glad you didn’t jump to many sizes.
I just bought my first Align 450 and will be here this week, can you link the facebook page for me. I'm going to install the H1 flight controller for the time being as I haven't flow a heli in 16 years.
There is also an H1 group you should check out. Personally I would lean more on a computer based helicopter simulator…absolutely priceless for learning and staying sharp. Good luck, thanks for checking out the channel! facebook.com/groups/1070952889715400/?ref=share

This is an excellent unboxing, thanks for taking your time and explaining everything and not rushing through it 👍
Hello! I am about to pickup a T-rex 500X Dominator. Is the build process for a 550X and the 500X pretty much similar?

@@rcflightz2058 Thanks for the quick reply!
How much it cost? And from where should I buy this? Suggest me an online shop
