How To Stay Centered In Your Lane-Driving Tutorial

- In this video, I show you how to stay centered in your lane while driving. It is a simple driving tutorial and I go over one of the most basic and essential skills. If you want to pass your driving test and become a great driver, staying centered in your lane is one of the skills that you have to master. When beginner drivers try to stay centered, they tend to stare at the road lines beside their car, and that causes them to drift from side to side; however, there are a few easy things that you can do to prevent yourself from drifting and driving on one side of the lane or the other. I go over those things in this driving lesson, and talk about the basics of driving in the center of a lane!

My problem is I’m thinking I’m driving a bike, go cart, or fourwheeler. ( you are in the middle) but in a car you aren’t especially driving a van you can’t see the front of the car

This was very helpful! I'm 29 and I've always had a fear of driving my whole life. If been practicing recently, I even went earlier today. I had a hard time staying centered. After watching this video I now know it was because I was starring at the car in front of me and constantly looking at the lines on the road. When I pratice tomorrow I will try my best to keep these tips in mind. Thank you so much!! My driving test is October 23rd. I'm praying that I pass! 😊

I just started today driver school and I have a difficult time of staying in the center. Also with turning. That’s because of my fear of damaging the car and somebody else’s car. But these tips are good. I am 18 and I hope that these tips help me as I learn to drive. Oh and good luck to anyone who is learning to drive to!
I'm taking lessons too and drifting in my lane is my struggle and occasionally over steering when making turns. At times i feel discouraged but I'm still going

Because you probably always look at the right side of the line' also look for reference points on ur windshield where the line of road is located

I ran off the road a little bit for my first time driving. Since then I've been terrified I wont be able to learn.
what about fear from incoming cars, especially on narrow roads with no white central lane? I tend to steer to the right fearing a frontal collision. Doing so i risk hitting the parked cars or going outside the road. any tips?

Not sure how I ended up on this video. But it is a mix of things, not just one thing. Situational awareness happens from more than once source of data. I could easily use my left and right mirrors to know exactly where I am in my lane. I can also use the the left lane line in tandem with my windshield to position my car properly, but that takes sitting in the same car with the same seat position to be accurate :p
I took my test twice already n 3 days I gotta go back again it looks like my anxiety won't let me win I'm 23 but I don wanna hit 24 without my license, I'm watching this video n its helpful thank u!
Lol, I received my license a few weeks ago. 23 as well. I had so much anxiety taking the test the first time around. The best thing that helped me was driving the test route outside of the actual test. I drove it so many times that it became second nature. And before I took the test, my bro took me in the parking lot and I was just making different types of turns for about 15 minutes. Then I took the test. And on the test, the instructor took me on a different route that I practiced but I still passed. 😁

so. i just turned 16. and i’m abt to get my stuff to work to get my permit. my mom let me drive in a little parking lot just so i could get a sense of how it’s gonna feel. and i have been flipping my shit ever since bc for the life of me i could not tell if i was on the white line (not a road line they just had a line for some reason and i was using it like it was) anyway. idk if this videos helped me yet but ik it has relieved some anxiety. so. thank you
