Coming from a Max6 G2 on my K6S EXB, the Max8 G2 with the stock pinion is perfect. There really is no point in going bigger, eso with a rig that only weighs 11lbs.
@TKim103 . You nailed it, Max8 G2 is perfect for the K6s when set up right. Great balance power combo 👊🏾💯
You spent some extra coin on the Max 8 system. Looks nice. Performs well. Lighter. Made my older V5 K6 too heavy, but it's what I got and no need for the new one.

@@LBizzyRC I meant that I made my K6 too heavy. I didn't go with a Max 8. I went with a Max 6 and 4092 motor on 8s with all the M2C upgrades and aluminum hubs. Full sized 3.8 MT belted tires, reinforced the body. All culminated into a super heavy 8th scale. It's fast, but that weight is tough on all the components.

Can you tell me how is this setup better vs the stock when the specs are even lower?
@stx7389 . Just a few Max8 160amp, motor 4278 2250kv , compared to 150amp, 4070 2050kv Probably could run a 13 or 14t pinion and run the same speed as the stock setup with the 16t pinion. And motor wouldn’t get hot. More settings in the ESC, Sensored way smoother no cogging. 👊🏾💯
I have a Kraton V5 RTR, I would like to change the stock combo (spektrum) with a more powerful one. I'm undecided between hobbywing max 6 or hobbywing max 8 g2, what do you recommend?
@opuarc . Max 8g2 all day same amperage as the max 6. Now if you added a whole bunch of weight // M2c this M2c that // then max6 1650kv. 👊🏾💯
So How does this Kraton 6s exb v2 rtr compare to the Kraton 8s exb v2 rtr? Try to find which is best or if there both very good 😂
@frfrank5862 . They both are very good in their own way. The 6S is lighter and moves quicker easy for transporting 😂😂 and bashing it around, not really worried bout braking it on rough landings. 8s is heavy but is solid, planted can handle turns fast with out flipping so easily. Moves through grass like it nothing. Jumping it though 15 20 feet bad,awkward landing something gonna brake. Both is a beast for what they are 60+ mph 6S is quick 35+pound rig moving 60+mph 8s is a lil scary 👊🏾💯
