@Dankboi420 . Nice !!!! It has that low end power lot of settings in the esc to adjust too. I haven’t messed wit yet but you can fine tune to your liking if needed. Bash on bro 👊🏾💯

@mattgrill7713 . Those gears are 1.5 I got off eBay, king hobby is the cush drive and I believe the pinion are the NHX mod 1.5.

@Diaszurana . If you go 5690 you will definitely have to gear up and run 8s all the time to get the potential of that motor. 4990 you can run 8s or 6s and gear appropriately to your likings 👊🏾💯

@LBizzyRC I figure as much, but with the torque of the 5690, I can gear it to the moon. My concern is that maybe the Big Rock is a bit to light for the 5690, and I may have trouble keeping the front tires on the ground. The 5687 Gen 1 combo I have in my XMAXx is almost too much for it lol.

@LBizzyRC It really does, though, 😆. Jokes aside though, my XMAXX with upgrades weighs 23 lbs. That's a lot heavier than the Big Rock.

@chiasson65 . I had a spare arrma esc plate laying around, had to dremel the side that goes close too the chassis brace. And attached that to the Losi esc bracket the holes line up then screwed it back down the the chassis, then 3m tape it down holds pretty solid for me. But still waiting on someone to come out with a mount 👊🏾💯

@@LBizzyRC thx bro. I did a different install today after some thought. I dremmeled out the center divider on the battery tray so I could use my big 6S, 6800 mah lipos. Then I installed about 8mm of HDPE plastic in the front portion of the battery tray to make it level. I then installed the ESC on top of this plastic …….so I have a big lipo and the ESC on the battery tray and the new 4990 motor in the original position. This is my first G2 esc……I didn’t know the fans on these run “on demand “

Ps. The diffs need thicker fluid…..but I will wait until winter to change them out.

@spenn2007 . Yeah I upgraded my firmware in the 08. Kept that stock didn’t mess wit the punch. Had the 30t pinion esc got over 190 went back stock pinion and it’s still a monster 👊🏾💯

@MrCyruskrakow . There’s no bleeder nut. I just filled them bout 90% would recommend 2k silicone diff oil or 3k.

@djp2257 . Make sure that your throttle knob on remote is dead center at zero before calibrating. Sometimes if it sees a a signal either way it won’t calibrate

@Mickado64 . The 5690 use 8 mm bulletin connectors it should have came with 6.5 connectors in the motor box to unsolder the 8 and put on the 6.5. I know the 1250kv has the 6.5 too 8 in the box

@@LBizzyRC It has the 6.5mm on it but they put an extra 8mm for the max5 G2. there are no connectors for the Max6 G2, I think the max6 g2 is 6mm

@Mickado64 it should fit, you really have to push really hard to get them to go in. They make them like that so the don’t pop out. You can try to squeeze the tips with some pliers just a lil bit. The tips has slits on it. If it’s too loose you can pry them back out carefully. It should be a really snug fit though.

@liamquinlan9445 I used some of the Traxxas foam that come with the aluminum accessories to move it up in that spot. You would need a motor mount for the motor tho if you get the combo. Esc plate wouldn’t hurt if you don’t like to think to make it work for you. 👊🏾💯

@beagleboy2.040 . Just make sure the motor mount is on the right side for your gear mesh. The plastic motor mount has two sides .

I have had the same problem on my Typhon Grom. No one seems to be talking about this. Even in this video it sounds like there's a serious vibration going on both when he's speedrunning and also when he's driving slowly (around 8:23 in the video). This ultimately led to snapping the motor shaft. I replaced the motor via Hobbywing's discount and now the new motor also makes the same sound (I thought, perhaps the motor shaft was bent from the factory, hence the vibration). All very frustrating.

@mckee2jeff . Make sure your motor wires go A to A B to B C to C if running combo and sensored. And make sure the esc setting motor is CW or CCW

@make4all2000 . Yes the big rock only has it in the center, the new kraton EXB RTR comes with it as an option to make it LSD. I liked the way the first kraton Exb roller had the LSD that’s why I went with that in the big rock just my opinion it handles better👊🏾💯

@opuarc . Max 8g2 all day same amperage as the max 6. Now if you added a whole bunch of weight // M2c this M2c that // then max6 1650kv. 👊🏾💯

@JoshuaRodriguez-ju7yy . It should work with the old 5687 1100kv just fine it use the 6.5 bullet connector the new 5690 use 8 bullet connectors only thing you would lose out on is the sensor capability what the g2 has to offer. But if you’re not worried about by all means.👊🏾💯
