*cuts to me, a 27 year old woman, watching this skit at home, laughing*
*the blue light shines on me*
*stops laughing*
“Why Am I laughing? I’ve never been in a men’s room before. Why is this so relatable and funny? Maybe it’s because, the world is just one big men’s room, and we’re all peeing in our own urinal, putting on our own weird persona to get by”
that's deep
Are you me? 🙀
HEY I'LL SEE YOU AT THE BALLGAME!
:: BLUE LIGHT::
I hate sports. I don't know this woman. Maybe, in a different life... who am I kidding? UA-cam is the only time I interact socially
Best comment 😂
Great comments
I don't know who they've added to the writing team this season but they are KILLING IT.
it's me
Agreed. The sketches are different this year. And by that I mean funny
The guys from Please Don’t Destroy all got picked up to write, and I think 7 other new writers too. Some of them are 2nd generation because their parents work on the show.
It's about time.. They've been suck ing for some time
Killing it. Agree!!!!
The murder confession was not expected but hilarious 😂
it was straight from American Psycho 😆
That's comedy, subvert expectations
Your comment sounds like something a guy would say in the men's bathroom. (Was that comment mean? I was just trying to be funny!)
@@gardenlover9663 I don’t know if it is the brain fog hitting me or what, but I truly don’t understand your comment/question.
@@brigettehinton3941 Garden Lover is doing like Chris Redd did in this sketch. The part in parenthesis is the "Introspective" part... like, ("Why did I say that... that was mean as hell... and I like that dude") LOL
Whoever wrote this has spent a lot of time in corporate office bathroom stalls..
Lol, agreed. Could have been a scene from The Office
Lol bowen and Chris wrote this
A whole sketch in a men's room and not one fart sound effect?
@@kl8901 as well as the Please Don't Destroy guys
"op, ayy. haha. is it friday yet." Im dead on the inside.
Anyone else ask the question "why did he choose the urinal next to Chris?" Before it was brought up?
Yes my mind said BRUH
Blatant violation of urinal etiquette.
As Larry David said before, you never choose the middle seat when the other ones are empty!
yes. "why? not the one next to him."
That's EXACTLY what I thought the second he walked up, I initially thought they weren't going to do anything with it and I was surprised.
Chris slowing down during monologues is peak acting.
This sketch made me realize how amazing Chris is
great catch
@@cjcolteryahn7791 I love Chris🥰
“My heart is pounding why did I choose the urinal right next to him? Our arm skin is touching. “ - best line
Not just skin--"Our arm skin is touching." Somehow that little detail makes it funnier.
Every man caught that the second he chose a urinal.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
2:26 the way andrew says “da summertime” 😂
Taking inspiration from Kyle Mooney haha
he sounds like john mulaney
“I killed a man in 2012” took me right out to the ballgame
"Took me right out to the ballgame." Is that even an expression? I dunno, I don't know who I am in here.
@@Doc-Jon 😂
Alex Moffat man… an icon
Literally laugh out loud in the libary
Enjoyed “took me right out to the ballgame”
Alex Moffat's delivery and timing were absolutely amazing.
The hand covered in soap and not being able to turn on the water sensor is a real struggle. I can relate.
It truly is.
Can some politician run on a platform to fix that? I mean doesn't the CDC recommend washing your hands for like 2 min, and average runtime of those faucets (if you can get them to work) is like .5 seconds. What kind of incongruous world do we live in?
run the water first before you soap the shh out of yourself. you’re welcome.
If it hasn’t been said already: Chris Redd is a phenomenal actor
Football is crazy!
He’s too underrated 🥺
The women's restroom is basically just waiting for the other person to leave so you can do your shameful poops.
Truth 😂😂😂
In corporate bathrooms, at least. Men seem to be that self conscious about pooping, too. Because of that, I’ll do my business with no reservations. And when I detect someone in another stall is waiting for me to leave, I’ll sit in the stall and browse the Internet for a few more minutes.
@@OAT86 Don't worry, it's only sunshine and rainbows coming out of our butts 😂🌈🦄
@@OAT86 No. I refuse to believe it regardless of what my wife says.
Yeah, some people have real hangups about the smell of waste in the human waste room. (Where else would you prefer I did it?)
Grow up. Not everyone can shit only at home.
This is the most relatable sketch I've seen in years.
Did you also murder Tracy Morgan’s brother?
Do the men's bathroom really offer the sort of escapism needed to run from thoughts of murder escapades? Asking for a friend.
It was a good one
I'm looking forward to the ladies room sequel
as a woman, i'm just going to choose to believe this is 100% accurate with no exaggeration or satire involved
This chaotic writing energy is great. They mustn't lose it.
This feels like Bowen Yang to me.
Gotta love that slow-mo acting when the lights fade. Nice touch.
Didn't see that. Watching again
I feel like Kieran Culkin's presence somehow brought up the quality of tonight's sketches.
He was good
The hosts decide which sketches are written, and he's probably got a better sense of humor than some of the elon musks and kim kardashians that have been hosting lately :D
@@joonamato who told you the host decides anything?
@@8aba_Yaga just something he made up in the men’s room.
@@joonamato bro Kim Kardashian did a good job wdym
Chris Redd just has such a specific type of comedy that always cracks me up lol, he needs more air time!
When he actually says football is crazy but then looks at himself in disgust lol
He does deserve more air time.
The cast is so large it's now a real battle for airtime. Got to be 3 times the Original Cast.
I love chris redd but he truly does get a lot of air time, like a fair amount for his year. I mean he was leading sketches from his first season, and a lot of them. Of course that said no harm on him being on even more!
Snl wants to know your location
Chris shouting "football is crazy" at 2:52 exactly as he predicted at 1:07 is me trying to keep a conversation alive with awkward stock phrases I brainstormed the night before :')
The great thing about this format of sketch is that they can reuse it and reuse it and reuse it over and over with different awkward scenarios! Like sitting next to people you don’t know on a plane or like an awkward unplanned meeting between a few friends at like a market that has a bunch of awkward silences so each person tries to fill the silence with awkward phrases and then go into the “What have I become?…”😂😂😂
Throwback SNL with Christoph Waltz: What Have You Become?
ua-cam.com/video/ZZo03FKl3sw/v-deo.html
Good point and this has been already been used before. I remember a skit in the early 90s where they did the same thing except you heard each character's inner thoughts & it kept getting crazier & crazier the longer the skit went on.
I can't remember what awkward situation they were in but I do remember Adam Sandler, Mike Myers, Phil Hartman, Chris Farley & Chris Rock being in the skit
When reading your comment my first thought was that awkwardness when you're in an elevator whether people are talking or just riding in pure silence either way it's to long
"Why am I commenting on his pee? And calling it a stream?" 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
That guy is always hilarious 😂 (can't remember his name rn)
@@rdoodoo2021 Bowen Yang
Whoever wrote this deserves some serious credit. This is one of the most consistently funny and relatable and original sketches I've seen on SNL in many many moons. Kudos!
I believe that was Bowen who had the idea for it.
“In many moons” do people say that anymore? I don’t know who I am in here!!!!
I agree. They’ve tapped into something here
@@oscarrimore I'm from Texas and have indigenous heritage. It's a half-joke :P It also get those reactions like yours which is fun too!
@@urbanzmb thanks. I have only recently come back to the show and that man fucking makes my stomach hurt. Such a great addition to the cast.
This is classic SNL. Every-so-often, they give us a gem. This is it.
The cancel cable skit has classic written all over it too
I thought "AA Meeting" (Oct. 29, 2022) was really good, too.
@@dbadagna I just watched that one. Great fun.
@@FatNorthernBigot I'm glad you liked it! One other recent one that I thought stood out in terms of both concept and execution was "Women's Theater" (from 2021).
There's something so cinematic about them gradually revealing more of the bathroom throughout the sketch
"Why would they? It's November!" 🤣
We’re months away from *~the summah time~*
This is officially one of my new favorite skits! I was dying of laughter the whole time😂😂
Lol, it was good
Me too! At one point I just laughed when the blue light came on before they even started talking lol.
Tracy "dropped the bomb" when he does a surprise cameo out of a bathroom stall and says"THIS DUDE KILLED MY BROTHER!";)
Alex Moffat’s part was so unexpected. 😆
Playing the Patrick Bateman (from "America Psycho") type character.
Who the other guy ?
@@romarro4616 I mean, I expected Tracy Morgan because it’s in the title. I wasn’t expecting a murder confession.
This is genuinely one of the funniest sketches I’ve seen from SNL in a very hot minute.
🤣🤣🤣🤣
chris redd pumping his hand in slo-mo at 2:04 is such a nice touch🤣
This was a strangely brilliant sketch. Like if David Lynch left without flushing.
ua-cam.com/video/G3xc4LMTrT0/v-deo.html it's of the same vein as this sketch IMO.
“We’re months away from… DA SUMMA TIME”
Snl video title ruining the surprise cameo.
True . .but it's why I clicked on it.
Also it's SNL Saturday night LIVE which for some reason or another we all missed
the original broadcasting day
Alex Moffat does NOT get enough screen time! 🥰
I don’t think u watch the show because he does lol
@@treefiddy5424 I do, and he doesn't.
I feel like he’s got a Keenan quality to him- consistently funny in all sketches, can vibe with about everyone, seems to be a solid backbone with pulling a sketch along, if that makes sense. I think he’s used quite frequently!☺️
Funny how Beck isn’t in this sketch. Sure, he’s not on the show anymore, but he wouldn’t be in this one anyhow because he uses oversized office supplies.
😂😂😂😂😂
And besides, he goes to the bathroom down the hall.
That's why he's no longer on SNL cause he was using oversized office supplies as bathrooms.
I miss Beck. He was my favorite.
Aaaaaawwww I miss Beck.
2:21 I almost choked on my quesadilla 😂
I think they should've kept the Tracy Morgan cameo a surprise but it was still good seeing him and when that one dude confessed to a murder I was like WTF 😲 then I did LOL 😁😂
Haha. I had to go back to the title to see that it was mentioned
Surprised me
I was totally shocked.
@@casbel9003 i had to replay that too i was like did I hear that right 😂
@@MrMann0123 i didn't expect that either i was like WTF then I did laugh🤣
Beck Bennett’s absence is noticed :(
Very much so
He would have been perfect!
"That was mean as hell 😳" I love Chris Redd
As a man, you NEVER EVER take the stall next to another man if there is another available. Its an unwritten law, but a law all the same. 😂😂💯
Ngl Chris Redd held this together, Tracey ending it worked well. Bizarre but very real take on public restrooms in general.
This was the best sketch of the night.
Not better than "cancelling cable"! And the part of "the weatherman" where the sea took the boy scouts was hilarious.
@@OronoDiane I was gonna say the same thing. This is one of the best episodes I’ve seen in a while.
Agreed
The SPECTRUM ending was a winner alone😂😂😂
@@OronoDiane I taped it on Saturday night because I knew I was going to be sleeping. And that night we had strong storms in the area so at the bottom of the screen it had a red line showing strong storms, possibilities of flooding etc… well I went to watch the episode on Sunday and the red screen at the bottom had the weather warning ⚠️ … and then all of a sudden when that weather skit came on about the news. and this storm coming up and the skit went quiet and made those warnings signs and that seek shelter right away doomsday (sort of thing)
I at first freak out because I see at the bottom of my TV with red caution ⚠️ weather then hearing the screen warning (which was part of skit) my first reaction was oh my god we are going to die…
🤦🏼♀️🤣🤪 only took few seconds to realise that it was part of the skit…
A lesson in anxiety. God, this is so painfully relatable.
Chris Redd slowing down his actions whenever he's in the background of someone else's monologue is such an overlooked but very much appreciate comedic effect
Alex Moffat is such a joy. I was giggling like an insane person when he dropped his bomb. What an underrated cast member
I thought Tracy was gonna come out and his inner monologue would be no different than what he was saying out loud
After Alex Moffat said “she’s got legs for days” and the lights dimmed, I was sure he’d say to himself “I’m getting fired for that comment.”
And here whenever I’m in the restroom everyone’s just awkwardly silent.
***BLUE LIGHT SHINES ON ME***
Is it something about me? Am I so repulsive that the men’s room goes quiet whenever I enter? Or is it just always quiet? Is the toilet culture of my area different than the SNL writers’?
Me when Alex: “oh wow he’s going to say he’s secretly gay.”
Alex: “I killed a man in 2012.”
Me: 😳
“See you on the ice?, we work at a pension fund?”
honestly this is a top tier all time sketch
WRITING + EXECUTION + LIGHTING & SET: GENIUS
Just another reason to not go back to the office.
Never again!
3:14 Kendall Roy be like
Bowen Yang just kills me.
Andrew Dismukes is gonna be huge star! He is talented.
I love when he plays (a whole lot for a featured player!) because he's just such a cutie patootie, but I also don't see anything unique he brings to the table. Kinda just does his lines
Men’s restrooms seem stressful 😓
They are... For some reason it is legally mandated that you make inane small talk. Dude, I'm just here to pee, leave me alone.
I don't know where these other guys go to pee, but in my neck of the woods it is forbidden to acknowledge anyone else.
When he took the stall right next to the other guy with all the other ones empty, I was like, "Who does that??"
Same m-fer that sits next to you in an empty movie theater.
@@ashleybrown4754 Isn't that by seat assignment though? Or no?
Did SNL get better or were people just group thinking Twitter when they were trashing it? Because These sketches I’ve been finding today are hilarious
yep, i found another skit that's i'll be watching more than once.
Anyone else rewatching now that it's "da summertime"?
Tracy Morgan looks and sounds great.
And this dude killed my brother.
Who knew toilet humor would work so well.
He just dropped A BOMB!
@@willelniff426 😂
It would be cool if ya'll included the writing credits in the description box!
I'm under the impression it's like Lennon/McCartney, I don't really see people taking credit for skits until they leave.
I would like to know who is writing specific sketches as well. Credit where credit is due! 🏅
This skit is wayy to accurate and hilarious. "Why did I just comment on his pee?!" I was literally just saying that too 💀🤣😭
Tat Chinese guy expressions in every skits. Cracks me up .. he has a serious funny face
This kind of sketch its my fav. So funny. But nothing can beat Papyrus
This is precisely why men should never talk at the urinals. It's an unwritten rule. And no one should ever take the middle urinal. That's totally against urinal etiquette.
Bathroom on my floor only has two urinals. If somebody is using one I wash my hands and then leave to go another floor.
The writing staff this year is hitting it out of the park
Offer Kieran a permanent position. It would elevate the whole show!!
Shoutout to the set design. Always impressive for such a short lead time.
Aww Andrew moved closer to Kieran after Alex babbles for 30 seconds
I just noticed that, too. 😂
I've never been so happy to not be a male using a male bathroom. In girls bathrooms we ignore each other and act normal.
We do, never seen a conversation in a bathroom before, this sketch is whack
As one female comedian said, "If you see someone's vajay-jay in the lady's room, something has gone horribly wrong."
As a regular user of the mens room, SOME of this does happen. Mostly guys just asking about weekend plans after we compare penis size.
We have 3 stalls and I always think “why did you choose the one next to me when the third one is open!!!” Gender aside, if their are 2 open, don’t pick the one next to the person already there. It’s weird.
Rose-- you gals just "ignore each other"?? Then why do you all go to the ladies room in groups like it is some sort of herd activity?? 😱
This is the only time I’m glad I’m a woman - we get bathroom stall walls!
this sketch is ridiculous. in a good way. like something from late-80's SNL.
I don’t know about that. self reflection is a timeless idea
Snl was never funny to me till now tbh 🤷🏾♂️
Why put the surprise cameo in the title?
We all know when this went from funny to fucking genius next level shit and then it did it again
Chris Redd going slo-mo during the speech takes... Well done! 👏👏❤
1:19 "Our arm skin is touching"
*(both wearing long sleeves)*
“Hey you see the new receptionist? Ahhh she’s got legs for daaaaaays………………I killed a man in 2012.”
1:00 major breech of bathroom etiquet
This is probably the most relatable SNL skit ever
Been on an SNL binge lately and this is by far the funniest sketch I've come across so far, maybe alongside "Meet Your Second Wife". Whoever wrote this was locked in and the performances match up.
Kieran definitely raised the quality of the show this week. I can't remember the last time SNL was this funny.
Why would they?…. It’s November😂😂😂😂
Y’all are gonna get me evicted laughing this hard at 1 am. 🤣 You captured the horror of American male culture
Same! 🤣🤣🤣 I laughed too loud! Now I’ll just deny it if reported.
3:57 Dude just flashed everyone.
Is this what happens in the mens room????🤣🤣🤣
This one definitely was hilarious. Whoever wrote this did a good job!!!
I don't know the reasoning for it, but I'm seriously loving all the cameos on SNL lately!
Awesome cameo is awesome. No Walmart truck gonna take this national treasure away from us!
*Me in the men’s room: And I took that personally*
All of this is accurate except for the hand washing lol
this is still the funniest snl sketch.
Finally another funny sketch that I laughed the whole way through. Keep up the good work writers!!! Finally. I am a loyal fan from day 1. Every time I watch I hope and pray for a funny sketch. Finally. Good writing again!!!
I gotta say, Alex is underused, but is always on point when he goes out there
My husband said that he was in a restroom and one other random guy was in there, and Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah came on the speakers. The guy said, "Hey they're playing our song!" My husband was O_O
Omg. This is what the social anxiety I have sounds like.
yo social anxiety is funny then!
So their boss is secretly Patrick Bateman from American Psycho
The live version shown on the East coast didn’t go like that. After he said this dude killed my brother Alex didn’t say anything. Almost like he blanked out. and the other guys just randomly jumped together and high fived eachother. Very confusing ending. They must have shown the dress rehearsal version for the other time zones.
Wow ! That is actually very interesting to hear...that this IS really all done on the fly.
WOW! Really?!?!?
I saw that version. I think it’s the same skit but they just edited the ending. As soon as Tracy says, “he killed my brother!” It cuts off. So I guess Alex missed a line or something, and everybody just continued on.
Best sketch of the season so far. Love Chris and Bowen!!
