Connor also has fantasies about being the autocratic ruler of a Mad Max dystopia in which he owns all the water. It seems naively kooky at first but in reality that is terrifyingly sociopathic.
"Yeah, okay, well, thanks for whatevering and I hope it wasn't too boring and blah blah blah and stuff stuff and bye, whatever." is the best sign-off I've ever heard from anyone.
I feel like people think sort-of the same thing about greg, but greg is a two-faced social climber, and from what I've seen has the least moral principles of all of them. he's nervous, insecure and a pushover (and maybe the most relatable to viewers due to his position), but it's always about saving himself. tom is similar, but actually seems to have some values/feelings, and puts others first occasionally (like the favour he did for greg). imo connor is a kind of contrarian choice, he definitely seems like some kind of vulnerable narcissist type, but he's not worse than greg and logan. the willa situation is incredibly common (just on a different scale), it's like most other transactional relationships. logan is an abusive tyrant type, lol. roman and kendall seem the most human, and would likely be pretty normal if they weren't who they are. frank and gerri are also chill
I wish his part in Fargo had lasted longer but... He was given a generally meaty role that puts things in motion but *spoiler alert* he doesn't last long.
It’s just confidence. I dont see much acting. He is just projecting and he has an onscreen charisma that works Its like jack nicholson or deniro . The cameras just pick up on charisma. It CARRIES thru. After seeing Culkin talk for the first time here…..I know now how little acting he is doing. We just like HIM and his nuanced offbeat personality. The script and story is doing the rest
I love the fact that Kieran improvised the flirtatious attitude with Gerri! I wonder where else are improvised sentences in the series!!! PLs let us know more secrets!
I would love to go out for a beer with this guy, the way he tells stories is so interesting, and it is true, working since he was 6 years old yet never found tough actors to work with, impressive.
@@obscurum6 what? are you even watching the show? She has never convinced herself of anything, she is in it for the money and heknows it. Theyre both cool with it,
He is so much like Roman in his mannerisms that when first watching the series I initially thought "well, he's not really acting, is he"? However, his acting in the final season is incredibly deep and moving - BRILLIANT acting. And his one liners throughout the series are the best
I normally have no interest in the Emmy's, but I was fully invested after watching Kieran's performance in S4 of Succession. Was genuinely proud of him when he won. I guess he's now the number one boy
I completely agree that Roman would’ve been the best successor. -Kendall is an addict and relapses constantly. No one in that position can run a business this large successfully. - Shiv wasn’t involved in the business for what? The first 30 years of her life? When she doesn’t feel like it there’s a couple episodes where she just doesn’t show up. - Conor will be President of the country soon so he’s not taking a demotion. - Roman is the only who shows up to work rain, shine, sleet or snow. Notice how he never “calls in”. He doesn’t have any vices that wouldn’t allow him to be at his best on a daily basis and he understands the business. In the first couple seasons he’s actually the one making things happen and helps Kendall close a deal. Unfortunately according to Jeremy Strong Roman’s final scene where he’s at a bar and order’s Gerri’s favorite drink (a martini) was put in there to portray Roman spiraling into alcoholism now that he’s lost Waystar Royco (which means he lost any little bit of accountability in life he had left) and that along with his terrible behavior towards her means he’s lost Gerri, who, in a sick, Freudian type of way played the role of the mother he never had. Now he’s a billionaire that has no children, who no one actually cares about and nothing to hold him accountable. What could possibly go wrong?
Every time I look at Kieran Culkin’s face I cannot stop thinking about an alternative universe where ‘Howard the Duck’ had several sequels and ended up having an much needed revamp in the 2020s with him as the new protagonist.
Kieran naming Connor as the most evil character is the most Roman thing ever
Well didn't he lock him into the dog's cage when he was a kid?
@@assianeu197 that was Kendall
@@assianeu197he liked it
He isn’t wrong though
Wasn't he interested in politics from a very young age?
I like how Kieran Culkin is just basically Roman Roy after he’s gotten the therapy he needs.
😂😂
I'm fully convinced that he's hardly acting... And trust me, I love Roman Roy
I legitimately laughed out loud. Bravo!
Vice versa
A lot of actors are like that, haha. But Kieran is perfect for the role, yes.
I've never thought too much into Connor's evilness until now. That did sound f*cking terrifying though!
Yeah he kinda sounds like the beast in beauty and the beast
ok but he was also interested in politics from a very young age
Connor also has fantasies about being the autocratic ruler of a Mad Max dystopia in which he owns all the water. It seems naively kooky at first but in reality that is terrifyingly sociopathic.
Um he's not keeping her prisoner...she can leave at any time.
It's nonsense, Willa was a perfectly willing participant. What is true is that Connor Roy was interested in politics from a young age.
Watching Roman talk about the film history of Kieran Culkin was an unexpected but appreciated episode of Succession
How did I miss that? What season and episode?

SO very Roman 🤣
Poetic, ironic insouciance.
I've always thought of Connor as too dumb to be evil, but he's totally right.
And he wants to be president. lol
you CAN be both dumb and evil! shocker!
Yeah he’s essentially trump lol

Spin off is happening
"Kieran Culkin ranks every succession character" *ranks one character*
thank you; wish more people pointed that out
Someone edited out nine
It was a nice interview, but because of that clickbait title it deserves a thumb down
Exactly. Thumbs down.
you watched it though didnt you
It's so interesting how each of the actors that play the Roy siblings are on record saying that their character is the most like Logan
And hilarious. Still fighting for the throne
Everyone wants to be the eldest
I fear if Connor drops below 1%, he may become a laughing stock.
uhhh, isn’t one the lowest number?
There's decimals
Laughed to hard at this thread. Lmao
Definitely need to dump another 100 mill to make sure that doesn’t happen…..
No one will take him seriously as a candidate unless he’s married.
I am so impressed with his acting skills. Really noticing him in succession, I truly hope I see him in more dramatic work.
I wish his part in Fargo had lasted longer but... He was given a generally meaty role that puts things in motion but *spoiler alert* he doesn't last long.

I love that he was sent the script to read for Greg😂
And he wouldave nailed it too!!
i want his full ranking now omg

literally can't imagine any other actor as Roman
Met him and he's super cool and down to earth in person. Wayyy nicer than Roman.
hes SO right about connor and about why kendall and shiv would make bad successors....
i'm a bit disturbed the quiz said Shiv "avoids drama" lol
so crazy to see Roman’s mannerisms in hum haha
“I can’t grow a mustache” has a mustache like right now
imagine kieran as greg 💀💀 that’s actually like unfathomable to me now LOL

I wish they had brought up Igby Goes Down (2002) ! Loved him in that - fantastic cast too.
I wish he mentioned Igby Goes Down, that's my favorite project he was apart of

kieran should have considered that connor roy has been interested in politics from a very young age
Jajajajajajaja

Connor Roy was interested in Politics from a very young age.
Warms my heart about Steve Martin. The man.
OK but why is no one talking about Kieran being the one that started Rome and Gerri storyline because he's always being flirty with her 😂😂😂

We all know that the prequel to succession is Ferris Bueller’s Day Off -- where Cameron tried to defy his dad.
this is the least bracelets i've ever seen kieran culkin wear
Kieran doesn't look he's 40, he looks 25

Him and Gerri start their own business.
Connor and Gerri are the two scariest on the show. Why? They hide their evil very well.
