I had to watch this again. Interested to see how hard that is to reassemble. I can only imagine.
It'll be a task. I've been told to take it down and put it up in one piece but I've seen them bend that way and I don't think I could lift it with the equipment I have. So my plan is to reassemble it the same way I took it apart. Can't wait to get it up, I've always wanted one. Thanks for watching.

There are different ways to skin a cat. Some ways are better than others. To avoid the expense of the crane and preserve the integrity of the windmill motor, the use of a gin pole at the top of the tower to lift and lower the motor down would have been safer and avoided any damage to the windmill motor. Pics to help with how to fabricate such a assistive device are available online.
Thanks for the advice. I'd never done this before and only had one day to get it down and off the sellers property. Luckily those motors are built like a tank and the fall didn't hurt anything.
You should repair it. Leave it there to pump water.
The shallow well is shot and is right next to the house and we didn't want to hear it that much. The plan is to but it across the future pond, which is a good 500+ feet away. I've thought about having it pump pond water to a water feature or making it into an electric turbine to power some lights around the pond.
