Thanks for showing us how to install Micromesh gutter guards. You do great work!
Thank you
Sharkbite on a boil is wild same with pex
Works great though
Can pex be straightened by applying heat ?😮
Easier to simply buy the sticks instead of a roll.
So, what's the point? 😮
I don't know, worth a shot.
@Off-Grid seriously, just for the views ?
@@paulmonk7820 if you don't post something they'll shut you down unfortunately.
@Off-Grid Sorry, I didn't know that. But maybe a previous one with high viewer interest.
Nice job. One thing you could have done was put the combiners to the right of the charge controllers. This way the DC out of the combiners would feed the RHS of the charge controllers. The resulting 48V DC could then come out of the LHS of the charge controllers and avoid that penetration through the screen. This method would have also kept the 600V and the 48V separate in you wiring chase. 2nd thing: I know it's tempting to bundle the wires, but I like to keep them separate as in they tend to get warm under load and even though there's insulation, I want as much air flowing around them as possible.
The layout worked but I agree, it could have been better. The wires needed to go out the back of the charge control but I didn't plan for that. A rear raceway would have been really nice to have had.
I'm surprised that you weren't required to have an inspection prior to the last of the back fill. I thought pretty much every state requires inspections of slope of the lines as well as the in tank connections. What state are you in?
Kansas. It was a very relaxed process. Saved us thousands
Wood frame homes CANNOT be tornado proofed
No but it doesn't hurt to try. I've lived in Tornado Alley my whole life and there is a HUGE difference between a house built to try and one that was slapped together after a tornado.
Hi. As profesional this is not correct tehnic. You have to use heat exchanger for outside heat floor loop/s. So outside heat floor loop is filled with liquid -40 and inside the house u can use any other liquid even a water, cuz heat exchanger dosnt let system mix. Not sure maybe you did it at the end.
I disagree as the whole system needs to have a glycol mix to prevent freezing. It is possible for the outer tube to freeze as it's only 6" from the slab edge. Also, should we lose power for some reason in the winter and are unable to heat the house it could freeze the tubes. If a tube is damaged you can't easily fix it. Adding glycol is the cheapest insurance you'll get.
How has the schneidee held up over time? Any issues
The hub quit working so I can't log in to see anything anymore. I haven't replaced it yet. I ultimately bought it to see what circuits are using the most power so we could adjust our habits but after being off-grid for several years now I know what's what. Therefore having access to the data isn't as important. But I'd like to get it fixed. It was nice looking at how the house was using the power.
How has the hvac held up over time? Any issues?
It's been fine, no issues beyond the useless thermostats. Because of that it can be hard to accurately heat and cool the house to a consistent temperature during extreme weather swings. I honestly doubt I'll use the same system when this one dies. I feel a standard heat pump and forced air would work about the same if not better. There are more cons with the mini split system we have then pros.
Sounds like the 'Pilot Debrief' guy.
What I was thinking haha
Love it… I ve done something similar and it’s like oh well 😂
It worked out and simply means there are options now.
Just call it an art piece ❤
Best time of the morning seeing all your friends first thing starting your day off with Love !🎉😂❤
Is it safe to process a chicken that mysteriously died?
The other roosters killed him when we let them out of the coop after getting back from a week long trip so we knew how he died.
This is the life❤
Yup I see those cows very cool 👍
Looks like the bottom breaker is added so you can select your normal feed or if the power goes out you probably have a generator ran to the other breaker so its a selector switch. Hopefully you have at least a basic interlock. If nothing more than linking the breakers so they both cannot be in the closed position. So you dont risk back feeding the line where workers may be present.
You are correct though this is for n off-grid system where I'm updating some equipment and this way I can switch between the old system and the new meaning I can test it out before fully switching to it. There are redundant breakers that you can't see too.
Looks like they cut a piece of the eaton buss from the old panel and stuck it in because the wires were to short and they needed pass through ?
Nope, that is the guts from an Eaton panel though. Good eye.
i just had a similar issue with tractorsupply on an 85 gallon county line defective bladder 4 year old tank. had all the same run arounds from t s and then the 800 warranty number "now "pentair company" finally the t s store manager offered a refund but that was not what I wanted. i wanted another replacement tank equivalent to the 85 gallon tank. then they wanted to sell me the new brand equivalent size "86" gallon "reliance" brand tank for the difference in cost of my 4 year old tank where i would have had to pay almost another $300. i told them that in the owner manual it stated a replacement and i pressed the issue since Pentair is responsible company for old brand and new brand which is tractor supplys in house brand just like county line was. bottom line, although i paid $400 4 years ago for the 85 gallon county line brand and the new line which is reliance, both sub companies of pentair through tractor supply... now selling for around $700, I got the new tank totally free under the warranty as stated in the owners manual. exactly as it should be. if you push back on these big companies they must honor the terms of the warranty even if the original model is not sold any longer. so i got the 86 gallon reliance brand tank exchanged for the defective still under warranty county line brand tank.
Good deal. Although I did get a replacement I ended up getting another tank and kept the tractor supply replaced as a backup. Never hurts to have a backup of just about everything.
Um... why is there an eaton switchgear set installed in a leviton panel?
Yep, interesting modification isn't it? Can you guess why it's there?
@@Off-Gridsolar feeder?
@@whochecksthis yep, I'm changing out my solar equipment and this way I can switch between the old and new systems while working out the bugs.
Incoming is at the base vs the top
Nope, the panel can be mounted either way but not sideways.
Art👌
Thanks. Isn't perfect but still ok.
The vent 3x2 T in the 3 in.stack is upside down
hi. i have similar unit for exactly one year. I had code 45 twice but didn't see any leak. could be condensation? also how often should we flush the unit? (3 ppl home. 1300 sf house)
You are supposed to flush it every six months to remove any buildup. I try to do this when the seasons change. So in the fall before using the radiant floor heat amd in the spring when we stop using the floor heat. Don't know about your error code. If it popped up once it could have been a fluke but if it happens repeatedly then you likely do have a leak somewhere in the system. Good luck!
isn't it bad to put these counters on the slab? moisture? dont you need pressure treated lumber under?
I put strips of pvc under them so they are off the floor which allowed me to slip the flooring under them too.
a bottom kicker wedge would of been faster to cut
Video deserves more engagement. Thanks
What do you mean?
@Off-Grid ohh more visibility, likes, views, conversation. Engagement, as UA-cam calls it, is seen as positive and should result in the video and channel being recommended more, adding to your success. So basically I'm saying this video is underrated, I appreciate you making it available and hope others see it and your channel..
@l0gic23 ah, I understand now. Yes, we used to do a video every week but it never caught on. We still do a video here and there. Might pick it back up in the future. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Nice job! You could have nailed in a piece of wood cut at a 45° angle (even a piece of dowel would work) where the bottom angled shelf touches the back wall. This would keep cans on the bottom row from going too far back, allowing the can above to go in front of it. Right now, if you get cans that have a larger diameter they may get stuck on the top level. With a larger opening and a wedge, various sizes of cans will fall through without trapping a can at the back.
Thanks for the tip. So far we haven't had any issues using the dispenser.
If you have two zones, does it support two external pumps/thermostat or it has to be external controller ?
You would need an external controller if you need more than one external pump. We just use the one pump and then control the zones by manually turning on or off a zone. We can also limit the flow to a zone without completely turning it off. You could have the same setup and then controllers to open or close each zone or loop as needed. The system does a great job at keeping the floor warm all winter.
Can we put low price air eliminator instead of expensive one, make a tee on the pipe and install it. What is the benefit of putting that big air eliminator ? Is not the recomended size for heating pipes close to boiler (Manifold etc) suppose to be at lest one inch ? Thanks for the part list in the description it helps
All of the air eliminators were part of existing parts of the system so I really didn't have a say in where they went. There is one inside the boiler, two by the manifold, and another by the expansion tank.
Where can I get one from? I’ve been looking for one and couldn’t find it I’m in portland Oregon
Tractor Supply is where we got it.
you guys should never hire whoever did your plumbing again. Sloppy work
Can't fire myself. The system has been working just fine, zero leaks or issues.
2500? u mean 250 inch pounds.
I'm sure I misspoke. It happens but instructions are with the railing system is someone was installing them.
HI, How do you like that Tank? I hard since it is two pice it my leaks, Do you have any problem withe it? Do you recommended? I am taking about 1530 Models.
I did a lot of research and this tank was the best poly tank on the market at the time in park because of the seams. They are joined with mechanical fasteners instead of a molded or welded seam that could split. The seam on these is very beefy. I'd recommend the tanks. We haven't had any issues with them.
Can you hook right to the same chimney as a wood stove
As far as I know you can but I'd verify that. My run into a much larger pipe was only a couple feet vs a whole chimney. But it is basically forced exhaust so it should work.
Nice job
Thanks!
By the looks of it they did all that without hanging a single sheet of drywall 👌👍
Yeah, they were something else.
I have been boarding for 17 years and met a few gems over the years I definitely understand why we get a bad reputation 😞

These Rheems are made by HTP, HTP was purchased by Rheem several years back now. In my old house I had an HTP 199K btu tankless wanted Hester inside the same case as your boiler. I’m sure the guts are totally different, but it was a great unit. I only had one issue with mine, a leaking blank plug, which was an easy fit. Would 100% buy a Rheem/HTP product again.
Ours is still working lile a champ.
I love Calypso but she can be really dumb
Typical goat thinking, if the nose goes the rest must fit as well
We had to cut the door off. I don't know how she even got one leg through it let alone two!
@Off-Grid I had 4 milking goats, and several kids that got into some very odd situations. I had to use a bicycle chain lock on the 2 gates and feed room doors that oldest could open sliding locks
spray foam
Wish you would have explained the adjustments of the gauges. We couldn't figure out why we weren't getting the water to flow. Don't understand why there is a value to adjust but then you also have to adjust the gauges...
Thought I did. You simply loosen the lock nut and twist the gauge until you get the flow you want. It is a very fine adjustment and will take some trial and error to get it the way you want it.
Nothing will come out of the manifold. Don't have to plug
I thought walking into hanging flower pots was brutal 🤣
This is 40' up so I won't be hitting my head on this one.
