Nothing is new here. All EV cars are suffered from low temperature and did not have ideal results! Tesla was worse in the following video: (ua-cam.com/video/9ZWoHfwWWuE/v-deo.html). It was not even be able to charged at very low temperature in Canada (ua-cam.com/video/M0Nt5LNSvcM/v-deo.html).
A very exciting and interesting clip. It helps many people calculate the distance traveled on the highway and in similar weather conditions outside and inside. You should not be too disappointed about the distance traveled. Vinfast VF8 is still running further than the EPA announced distance tested by users. Too cold and too hot temperatures are always the weak points of electric car batteries. Including Tesla
The car was developed mainly in Vietnam, so some functions may not be optimized for other countries, especially those with a harsh winter season like Canada. However, your intuition will help the developer much on improvement of this model in the future. Thank you so much for considering VF8.
I recently did a trip in my Mach-E on the Alaska Highway, occasionally seeing temps as low as -36C, and I discovered there’s a limit to the “if you drive slower you’ll get more range” proposition. If it’s cold enough, the car is consuming so much for battery and even minimal cabin warming that a slower speed just extends the time that warming is needed. At the coldest temps there was no benefit to slowing below 70kmh.

I like it a lot, I think every car should be able to do that. To me it us absurd why it is not the case. That tech exists since a long time ago, I don't know why it didn't evolve. I think automakers should focus on that feature instead of copying each others and barely offer evolution. Mobility shouldn't be as restrictive as it is right now, we should be able to move freely and that tech offers that. All cars look or work the same, just like the cell phones industry. It seems that no one dares anymore.

I am disappointed in the charging speed, I charge in a covered garage at work and at this point I deal with diminishing returns. I used to be able to charge at the level 2 charger for the 13 hours I am at work and it would at least be at the same state of charge from when I got there adding 70 miles at the very least. I am now lucky if I gain 35 miles and of course they are "Cold Miles" so get rid of 10% off the top

scary in the cold weather. Glad a native canadian was behind the wheel though. Thx for the video. It was fun to watch.

All electric vehicles should have battery ranges for summer and winter so drivers prepare for their trips.
