A recent whistle blowing has revealed the cars haven't been built properly though. All sorts of safety issues including suspension parts (and wheels) snapping off. A few people have been killed and there have been a few fires. Apparently JLR are involved in this brand and were complicit in covering up or ignoring safety problems.
Please go to the nearest dealer to test drive and learn about the car. I believe you will have a lot of sympathy. I hope you will have the best experience. Just road tested one today. Seems like a nice car. Got informed they had some 2023 plus package models left for $149 per month with no money down, three year lease. I pay more for my gym membership! Thanks for the video!
The dealership in Bradenton FL won’t honor zero down with over 835 credit score. I bought it anyway because I wanted the VF8. Check that lease option closely. It’s a great ride, handles the road great. Good bells and whistles with power. Interior is good quality and looks great.
Great point on the amps - I tend to just show average charge speeds when I do these videos but it's good to hear from an owner and what the real world charge numbers are like!

I didn't find an issue with the navigation system when I used it. But it was only for a few 45 minute drives so I'm not sure if owners who use it all the time have run into issues

Thank you! Pet mode can stay on for an extended period, only turning off when climate control is turned off, you move out of park or if the vehicle's charge drops under 5%. But it's also not recommended to leave pet mode on if you'll be away from the vehicle for a long period
Ohhh good question! Depends on what your budget is and if those are the only 2 cars you were considering.. lower budget would be the VF8, higher budget it would probably be the Ariya Platinum
A quick search shows that's not the case.. Just ran quotes for myself with my existing insurance provider on a fully loaded VF8 and Tesla Model 3. $1,000,000 liability basic accident benefits comprehensive coverage collision coverage rental car coverage Tesla Model 3: $212/month VinFast VF8: $154.92/month

It's a due diligence thing for sure. I find people stay with their insurance company out of comfort but I switched mine last year and am saving over $1,000/year. It's always a good idea to shop around at least every 2 years
Nice review but are you sure that this is a 2024 production year model? Because from what I know is that they have replaced the door handle and the key fob in the 2024 model.
I think this is the 2023 version. The 2023 version is quite good and the 2024 version is much better than the 2023 version. Currently we are waiting for the VF8 Luxplus2024 but the company does not have a car to return to customers yet, I think the VF8 Luxplus2024 Even better version. Early adverts had "Hey Vinfast". As far as I can tell, they got rid of that in favour of Alexa, but Alexa can do stuff most stuff you are likely to want, like "Alexa, open all the windows", "Alexa, play some music by Walk Off The Earth", "Alexa, I'm cold", "Alexa, navigate me to the CN Tower", "Alexa, what is the air-speed velocity of an unladen swallow?" and so on.

@@tomleung8753 The after sale is scam too! They are saying since the part has been back ordered for a few weeks it doesn’t qualify for compensation. The car is terrible, the costumer service is the worse I have seen. There is no local person to talk to and most of the they don’t know what is going on. This company is a lousy software developer and they are not a car maker. Their system is not set up to provide any support to the costumer. The lesson learned for me is to never buy a car from a company with no reputation or experience in vehicle industry. Always buy from well known brand. These are trouble!!! I’m in Canada and I’m trying different avenues but not too sure what’s going to happen

How much did they pay you to do this review for them??? This car is a piece of crap and I don’t know they pass the safety tests in North America. I bought my V8 in late July and after less than a month it had a front motor failure in the middle of road and instead of going forward, it was going in revere with me as a driver having no control over it. It has been almost four weeks since they tow the car to their repair shop and still no news. The costumer service is terrible!! I was given a gas rental car and there is nobody to talk to. Nobody is taking responsibility and accountability. I have asked to returned the car but they don’t accept that and I’m forced to drive the faulty dangerous car for the next five years. I’m stuck with them. I am trying to file a case with BC consumer protection and Canada Motor Vehicle Arbitration Plan to return this car. Even before the motor failure, I had tons of software issues with this car. So many times the camera stop working all of the sudden. It didn’t save any settings. You get inside the car and you are starting your busy day and you realize your Bluetooth is disconnected, you need to adjust your seat, mirror etc. This is a piece of junk. This company is a scam. There is no costumer service at all. I wish I have done my homework before signing a lease with them and letting the sale person at their Park Total location to deceive me like this. The test drive was great! But when you buy the car, every day you will be dealing with a new issue. The sounds that sometimes coming from the battery and front motor is horrifying. You would think it can explode any time. Stay away from this company. They are not car makers!!!
I don't take money for my reviews. It's unfortunate that it seems like you've got a lemon but it does happen sometimes across manufacturers. I'd be curious what the eventual outcome is for yours. I was going to mention CAMVAP but you've already started that process. VSABC is another option as is going a legal route

Level 2 depending on how many amps I had 80 amps charger and full charged from 30%-100% in 4.5 hours

Haven't had a chance to review the 2025 models yet as we don't have them in Canada at this point.. but I'm definitely going to when they're available!
Many are compliant with other reviews with GPS navigation. Have you tried the GPS response time and accuracy?
