Kinda tired of people saying she doesn't deserve her success just because she wasn't a poor kid. She very clearly worked hard for several years and still does to this day.
I think the thing was more that she was projecting this image of being a came-from-nothing-small-town-underdog when that wasn’t really the case at all. It’s more that she kinda faked it a little bit to appear more relatable and that rubbed people the wrong way. Thats my perspective anyway idk. But I definitely do not think that makes her an less deserving of her career, clearly she’s extremely talented and works extremely hard. Her parents obviously couldn’t buy her natural born talent lol
@carasheehan8383 I big part of being likable is being relatable to people, so it really doesn't bother me that she wasn't flaunting her upbringing through her whole career. I never understood why people care if someone had money or not growing up. It's a good thing that her parents were able to afford their children and support their dreams. That should be the goal for parents, in my opinion.
@egreque lol, I understand it all clearly, thank you very much. I was a poor kid and then a foster kid. I know what it's like to have the bare minimum. I also was never mad about it, lol. It sucks that not all talent gets seen, but that's also the way of the world.
It took a lot of guts for Taylor to work so hard as a kid after being bullied, & not knowing she'd ever be a star or not. She was raised right with alot of love. That is key. She drove herself to stardom and deserves all the happiness life has to give. She's been through alot of pain & rejection & has handled it well. Honestly I don’t know where to start. I’ve been WAITING for someone to dive into Taylor’s life before the debut era. I’ve always been so fascinated and inspired by how she managed to do ALL THAT while she was literally in middle school/early high school. I’ve been looking into old blogs and unreleased songs for a while but this is by far the best summary of EVERYTHING before debut. Old interviews, unreleased music, the bts of the business side of things. The reason I’m so obsessed with it is because I also want to break into the industry and Taylor is quite literally the reason why I picked up a guitar. And since she’s the biggest artist right now I feel the need to study everything Taylor Swift related (so if you think you’re a stalker then we’re on the same page😂) The fact that you managed to create a timeline for all the songs, career moves is so crazy. Immediately gonna subscribe. I’m definitely gonna be watching the next part about Fearless if you are really gonna do it🙌🏻
She has probably the best work ethic I’ve ever seen in a human being. And it’s because she has always been passionate about telling stories and showing people how she feels. I love her!
WAIT I WATCHED THE WHOLE TWO HOURS OF THIS AND ONLY JUST REALISED YOU ONLY HAVE A 167 SUBSCRIBERS? I thought I was recommended a channel in the tens of thousands, as usual. Please make more of these! Would love to see that sequel ♥
@@felea_2k now! 😍 We are absolutely here for it… Swifties love a deep dive rabbit hole experience! I have been struggling with mental health and this video really helped to kind of clear my mind. Thank you 💛
Holy shit, this was so so so well done. Such a great documentary, so well detailed, good job! Taylor is an amazing human being, she deserves EVERYTHING, she really does 💙
I feel like this was my Taylor Education series 101-104, my brain is expanding, I know so much more than I did before 🤯 amazing job, excellent research and great video Fe!! 👏🤩💖 Can't wait for the next installment!
wow her young vocals are VERY strong here makes me annoyed her first recordings didn't take their time capturing that. she's got great natural belt and sense of key!
To the girl who made this video, you rock and never underestimate your talent you are fair from anything but talented and I wish you all the wonderful things life may Have to offer you... you go girl!!!😊
Taylor Swift has real talent. I remember seeing her rise slowly I always thought she would be a true artist in the music industry. I can't believe I'm a fan now because I'm into indie rock but that goes to show her magic.
Please do deep dives into every era. Your video was excellent. The world needs this because there is so much misinformation out there about Taylor even done by mainstream outlets.
So I watched this the whole way through and it was so meticulously researched and presented. I really resonate with what you said at the end where you always were interested in video essays but you never felt smart enough or well-spoken enough, and I feel the same way. But you did it! So it's a little inspiration for me to do it again too :)
this is such an incredible and thorough video, i'd absolutely love to see this become a series!! definitely gonna share this around with other swifties bc it deserves all the love and attention omg 💖
I love that she was the weird musical kid with no friends and she’ll just write about what she observed after school because look at her now. From having no friends to everyone wants to be her friend. That’s growth right there and much deserved success
Could you imagine if this Taylor met who she is now and saw the Eras Tour? This is video was so amazing and in depth, I loved it so much. I can't even imagine how long this took 😭 if you are up to it you should definitely do another one on Fearless/Speak Now!
I was 10 when debut came out so I didn’t have a MySpace and wasn’t as aware of her earlier career. This video is an amazing documentary showcasing her early career! I can’t wait for debut TV to come out. This album is how I discovered her as an artist 💚
This video is such a masterpiece! I’m so amazed by your commitment and destination to this video. The work that you put into this has payed off as a beautiful video. I was shocked to find that this was your first video essay! This video really taught me so much about Taylor and now I know a lot more than I did before! I can’t wait for your fearless video and will be waiting until then! 💚
I grew up near wyomissing, PA, and it seems like everyone here has some kind of connection to taylor!! i have a “lucky you” frisbee from when she would promote her music in the area :)
You did a Terrific job telling Taylor’s story! I didn’t know she worked so hard and was so passionate at such a young age! It’s amazing how ridiculously talented she is, yet still so grounded and down to earth & relatable! Looking forward to your next video! Subscribed ❤
This makes me realize how enormously hard she worked, to go from nasal and flat, to My Tears Richochet. Now, that's a journey of commitment. Edit: if you read this, a tiny constructive critique, your vocal can be just a tad louder, there is a noticeable drop between your narration and the media clips. Or add some bass and high end to your vocal tracks, you are very soft spoken and have a lot of midrange in your voice and it makes you get a bit mushy and overpowered by the rest of the audio. I want to hear what you have to say, because you wrote a great script! 👍
I would also like to add that you did an extremely wonderful and dedicated job, but you could slow down your delivery of the narration and even add a touch of emotion. ha ha . no really this great - no criticism at all - thank-you so much for doing this.
You did an amazing job! I never had a chance to be og swifty, I'm from Eastern Europe and had no internet till 2010. Now i watched a ton of essays about her journey, but this one is the most unique, because i didn't see deep dives like this in Taylor's before fame era Thank you!
I love this! As a relatively new swiftie, i would LOVE deep dived like this through sll her eras. I feel like i have no jdea what om listening to half the time 😂
I love what you've done! It's so thorough without ever getting boring. I also love how understanding you are when you talk about some things that don't exactly add up, like the dates when a song was written. You make note of the discrepancy without sounding judgmental about it. Maybe sometimes she deliberately changed a timeline, but I also think she might not remember it exactly because she had so much going on. Excited to see your next chapter!
Taylor’s earlier work really reminds me of Avril Lavigne’s early work. It’s just disappointing because, unlike Taylor, Avril didn’t continue to work on her songwriting skills and they have remained very stagnant since she was 17. I don’t think she’s ever cared about reaching her highest potential to produce the best quality of art that she can. And then we have Taylor who just takes so much pride in her work and it shows.
Or maybe Avril just has her own vision for her own music and career? I mean if her music was really that stagnant, she would not have been still famous at age 38, 22 years later since her debut album. She is already an icon. They both are completely different artists with different ideas for themselves. She explores her own art in her own way. She writes songs because she just loves writing songs (that was basically the concept of her 3rd album) and she is damn good at it. Also who said Avril does not take pride in her music/art, like did she ever say it? No. just because her albums arent in different genres, she doesnt write poem-like lyrics or leave easter eggs for fans to discover doesnt mean she isn't proud of her music. I dunno dude, it feels like you just wanted an excuse to criticise Avril in a video about Taylor...
My guess is Taylor is driven. It's also something she loves. I used to write poetry. Things, words phrases pop in your heaf and awareness of what is going on around you at all times. She's a prodigy. Had she not had a path provided by her parents, Ibelieve she would have found her way to success by herself.
I appreciate that you took the time to research her early thoroughly. You even showed us her old websites, home videos, old demos, physical CDs etc. Thank you for making this documentary-like video essay for us. I am a new swiftie and I love videos like these. I can't wait to watch your future content 💚
I'm a very recent TS fan...better late than never. I started listening to her after Travis Kelce began to profess his love for her. That being said...I can definitely say that your video is a must-see for every Swiftie. Personally...I think she's an Angel and should never be disparaged. However, you did an excellent job. Kudos to the time spent on your dedicated research, which shows. It could be a college thesis.
I’m only 20 mins and I’m really impressed with your level of detail and documentary! I grew up watching her rise to fame but you have still taught me more! Can’t wait to listen to the rest. Well done 🎉
I think Taylor wrote the outside when she's 12, but it's not final yet. So she edited it and recorded it on January 2004. And about the journal entry, i think she was referring to the song she already put out, since it fit the context about being on the outside line.
Wow this is so thorough and very well made. I can just imagine a young Taylor being amazed at what she had accomplished since that first debut album. My debut choices would be: I’d lie, drive all night, permanent marker
idk what else to say except that i LOVEDlovedloved this deep dive!! i've always been a bit of a fan of debut and her early days and it is SO interesting to see the whole story laid out like this! pleaseeee make this for other eras

thank you so much for making thissss!! two of my favorite things are video essays and taylor swift. ive watched other videos about taylor but i really apreciate how deep you dived into it in this, i learned so much and i really enjoyed it :)
I really appreciate all the hard work you put into this. my favorite parts are when you put snippets of demo/worktape songs along with the lyrics so my brain doesn't have to work twice figuring out the words lol

This was really really well done! Love to hear that Defunctland was one of your inspirations, that's where my love of video essays really started. This is an amazing amount of detail for this kind of coverage and I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to seeing whatever you decide to do next. I didn't become a big Taylor fan til like middle school in 2012 so there is just so much here that I wasn't able to experience!
thank you so much!! the reception of this video definitely inspired me to want to make more! i became a fan around 2009/10 so i wasn't around for this era either! haha
So well-done. So thorough. Perfectly paced. Detailed, yet concise and articulate! Loved the clips you included with the song lyrics of her leaked stuff and actual clips of her singing…and just all the old footage. Ah so great!! For a 2 hour doc, it went by so fast! And as a 32 year old Swiftie since debut, I learned so much I never knew! Thanks for all the hard work and effort you very clearly put into this. Can’t wait for more! Subscribed 🤗🫶🏻
hiii! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻 just wanna say that you ARE very well-spoken and smart to search, read, listen, compilate, organize, categorize, scheme and make a full long video for this much information. i'm just blown away. thanks for dedicating the time and make such good, rich, revealing, questioning and clarifying content. hope you are able to cover all the eras later on (excited already), i'm sure that will be much more accessible information, since we'll get into the actual internet era 😂. congrats for the amazing work, if you are to keep going, take your time and make sure to be proud of what you did 💛💛 thank you!
I spent 3 days watching this video and I am so grateful you made it! I am gonna see Taylor for the first time on my birthday (3.08.2024 Warsaw) and I had noooo idea about so many things you said. It was really well organised and insightful. Can't wait for more!
i am going to the eras next week dressed as “justice for debut” and watching this now only makes me even sadder she didn’t put anything on tour :( i hope everyone realizes how GOOD this album is considering it was written by a 12-15 year old when taylor’s version is out!!!
wonderful job on this video!!! you had me bawling my eyes out last night watching it (cuz i’m so proud of her and have grown up listening to her since 2007). i didn’t get to finish the video last night so i made sure to come back & finish it after work today bc i was just so invested! i’d love to see more of these with the different taylor eras :)
You can clearly see how much work and dedication went into this video. Thank you very much! My picks for the debut vault would be R.E.V.E.N.G.E., What Do You Say (it's my absolute favourite out of all her unreleased demos from that era), I'd Lie and What To Wear. I don't think songs like Beautiful Eyes, I Heart ? or Crazier will be considered as "from the vault" as they were officially released, I think she will just add them to the re-recording much like she added Today Was A Fairytale to Fearless TV.
This is a masterpiece of a video I could listen to you talk about Taylor for hours lol, such an interesting story and omg I have so many thoughts! I’ve always viewed Taylor as a sort of “child prodigy” but I think this video really solidified that the most important things that launched her career and longevity is her drive, confidence, and love for what she does. The confidence this girl had at 13 is incredible and she is something for the history books. Thanks for a sick video please make more I’ll be watching haha❤
Omg i can't believe i just watched a 2 hours long video about taylor's early career and life. But anyways, your video is amazing, completely mesmerizing. Great work at all the aspects. Can't even imagine how hard making all of it must have been. ❤❤❤❤
Throwing my voice in here to say THIS WAS AMAZING and so professional, please do all the other eras in order I cannot wait until rep. You are the best!!
This was actually so entertaining. I’d rather watch this again than a movie I’ve never seen before. I learned so much abt Taylor and this seems like it took so much time and effort to the point where I’d be disappointed in myself if I didn’t subscribe.
Excellent quality deep dive I really appreciate going back through the history of the early days! I’d say I became a fan around the time teardrops and our song was blowing up. I was 15/16 high schooler and felt so connected to her music 🤠🫶 my favorite tracks from back then definitely had to be “I’d lie” our song, should’ve said no & im only me when I’m with you! Was a huge fan of her vlogs back in the day & can vividly remember checking her MySpace page every day for blogs lol 😂 🦋 so nostalgic!!
you are AMAZING. the absolute patience, skill and passion it takes to make something like this is so impressive! your love for taylor really shines through. will be keeping my eyes on this channel from now on. congrats on this great piece of work

WOAH. This was so good and detailed, you definitely should do more video essay stuff because you're great at it. Would love to see this kind of video for the rest of Taylor's eras. Can't even imagine how much time this must've taken!!
This was amazing. I joined the fandom when Red TV came out so any extra information is very important to me cause I wasn't there. I love to know about Taylor's first moves because it brings me a lot of courage to do my things. I'm currently the age Taylor was when she debuted, so it's very beautiful for me. Thanks for making this video!
This is a fabulous in depth and well researched documentary! Several sections had me in tears. It makes me want to buy all those version of the lover album with the journals if they still exist. Thank-you for doing this.
This was recommended to me and omg it was so good! Thank you so much for putting this together and I swore you were a regular video essayist the entire time until you gave your brief background at the end. Keep this up! You’re a natural!

2:23 imagine seeing the biggest popstar in the world and recognizing her as the baby that sang disney songs to you at the beach 20 years ago
yeah Stone Harbor!!
And since she’s the biggest artist right now I feel the need to study everything Taylor Swift related (so if you think you’re a stalker then we’re on the same page😂)
The fact that you managed to create a timeline for all the songs, career moves is so crazy. Immediately gonna subscribe. I’m definitely gonna be watching the next part about Fearless if you are really gonna do it🙌🏻
sameee
Same ❤❤
She has probably the best work ethic I’ve ever seen in a human being. And it’s because she has always been passionate about telling stories and showing people how she feels. I love her!
Fr!!!!
What better than a cleaner do not think so.
Nah. The best team.
O in on
Wonderful to know that Her grandmother was a huge inspiration for her!
Yes I agree with you
I got half way through this before I realised it wasn't an official project. You researched this so well! I'd watch a thousand more videos from you.
Felea, please make a Fearless/Speak Now Era of this documentary! It's amazing. I learnt so much.
As an OG Swiftie, I approve. 10/10 deep dive. Looking forward to Fearless 💛💛
Would love to see that sequel ♥
thank you!! when I uploaded this video I had 35 subscribers 🙈🙈🙈
1.41k as of now 😳🤯
@@felea_2k now!
Cool I love Taylor's Eros tour song choices by Taylor herself thanks for your interest 🙏
She does a wonderful job
I guess that’s why her fans refer to her as the music industry lol
Please do deep dives into every era. Your video was excellent. The world needs this because there is so much misinformation out there about Taylor even done by mainstream outlets.
So I watched this the whole way through and it was so meticulously researched and presented. I really resonate with what you said at the end where you always were interested in video essays but you never felt smart enough or well-spoken enough, and I feel the same way. But you did it! So it's a little inspiration for me to do it again too :)
this is such an incredible and thorough video, i'd absolutely love to see this become a series!! definitely gonna share this around with other swifties bc it deserves all the love and attention omg 💖
please do one on her current life + other singers untold stories !! this was awesome
Thanks!! That’s my plan!!
I love that she was the weird musical kid with no friends and she’ll just write about what she observed after school because look at her now. From having no friends to everyone wants to be her friend. That’s growth right there and much deserved success
When she’s thanking everyone who had even a small part by name at 1:54:10 by name and personally thanking them omg so sweet
As a recent Swiftie I Love this documentary showing Taylor's struggles from her perspective, and how she overcomes them.
I would also like to add that you did an extremely wonderful and dedicated job, but you could slow down your delivery of the narration and even add a touch of emotion. ha ha . no really this great - no criticism at all - thank-you so much for doing this.
yeah I'm listening through headphones and her narrating voice comes out only on the left
@@catmjllafunny, for me it only comes out of the right side. Probably accidentally clicked something when recording/mixing the audio.
One of the most in depth analysis ive ever seen!! It would be awesome if we could get ab analysis like this for every era!
IM SO OBSESSED WITH THIS VIDEO
ahhh that’s so sweet! thank you 💗
You did an amazing job! I never had a chance to be og swifty, I'm from Eastern Europe and had no internet till 2010. Now i watched a ton of essays about her journey, but this one is the most unique, because i didn't see deep dives like this in Taylor's before fame era
Thank you!
THIS VIDEO WAS INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!! SO WELL PUT TOGETHER AND IN DEPTH IM OBSESSD
Taylor has a special way of making me feel like she is my friend....which is rare...she is so beautiful, what a spirit filled with love.
I love this! As a relatively new swiftie, i would LOVE deep dived like this through sll her eras. I feel like i have no jdea what om listening to half the time 😂
thank you!! i was hoping some new fans would watch this video and learn about her earlier career!
Thank you, your documentary is the first ever that explained how her grandmother sang professionally. Fascinating. Talent is genetic🎉🎉🎉🎉
And then we have Taylor who just takes so much pride in her work and it shows.
dude avril was on her death bed with lyme disease for years, have some respect.
Both taylor and avril improved a ton vocally and if you can say that after head above water is crazy those lyrics and vocals are great
Or maybe Avril just has her own vision for her own music and career? I mean if her music was really that stagnant, she would not have been still famous at age 38, 22 years later since her debut album. She is already an icon. They both are completely different artists with different ideas for themselves. She explores her own art in her own way. She writes songs because she just loves writing songs (that was basically the concept of her 3rd album) and she is damn good at it. Also who said Avril does not take pride in her music/art, like did she ever say it? No. just because her albums arent in different genres, she doesnt write poem-like lyrics or leave easter eggs for fans to discover doesnt mean she isn't proud of her music. I dunno dude, it feels like you just wanted an excuse to criticise Avril in a video about Taylor...
or, there is THAT conspiracy theory about Avril that explains why she's turned into a plastic bland barbie.
My guess is Taylor is driven. It's also something she loves. I used to write poetry. Things, words phrases pop in your heaf and awareness of what is going on around you at all times. She's a prodigy. Had she not had a path provided by her parents, Ibelieve she would have found her way to success by herself.
this is so well crafted and so interesting!! i can't believe this video isn't already more popular, i hope to see you're channel grow!
It could be a college thesis.
been a fan since debut and you included so many details that I had no idea about
You did such a good job with this. I can’t imagine the time and effort you must’ve spent putting it together.
My debut choices would be: I’d lie, drive all night, permanent marker
idk what else to say except that i LOVEDlovedloved this deep dive!! i've always been a bit of a fan of debut and her early days and it is SO interesting to see the whole story laid out like this! pleaseeee make this for other eras
thank you for this documentary! even that volume difference between your voice and songs didnt break this incredible research that you did! youre amazing really
thank you so much for making thissss!! two of my favorite things are video essays and taylor swift. ive watched other videos about taylor but i really apreciate how deep you dived into it in this, i learned so much and i really enjoyed it :)
thank you!! 🥰
I really appreciate all the hard work you put into this. my favorite parts are when you put snippets of demo/worktape songs along with the lyrics so my brain doesn't have to work twice figuring out the words lol
I have never watched a 2 hour video fully , but this was so incredible and magnificent and really well put together video that I was so entertained and fully watched the video
So good cheff kiss
You are doing a really phenomenon work for a small youtuber 👏 it's incredible and detailed , loved it so much
Keep going ❤
Subscribed 🤗🫶🏻
hiii! 👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻
just wanna say that you ARE very well-spoken and smart to search, read, listen, compilate, organize, categorize, scheme and make a full long video for this much information. i'm just blown away. thanks for dedicating the time and make such good, rich, revealing, questioning and clarifying content. hope you are able to cover all the eras later on (excited already), i'm sure that will be much more accessible information, since we'll get into the actual internet era 😂.
congrats for the amazing work, if you are to keep going, take your time and make sure to be proud of what you did 💛💛 thank you!
thank you!! that comment means a lot 🥹 I know you watched until the end 🥹💗
I spent 3 days watching this video and I am so grateful you made it! I am gonna see Taylor for the first time on my birthday (3.08.2024 Warsaw) and I had noooo idea about so many things you said. It was really well organised and insightful. Can't wait for more!
So exciting! I hope you have a good time at the eras tour! ✨
i am going to the eras next week dressed as “justice for debut” and watching this now only makes me even sadder she didn’t put anything on tour :( i hope everyone realizes how GOOD this album is considering it was written by a 12-15 year old when taylor’s version is out!!!
wonderful job on this video!!! you had me bawling my eyes out last night watching it (cuz i’m so proud of her and have grown up listening to her since 2007). i didn’t get to finish the video last night so i made sure to come back & finish it after work today bc i was just so invested! i’d love to see more of these with the different taylor eras :)
I've been a fan since I was 10 when I first saw "Tim McGraw" on CMT and became obsessed with her. I'm turning 27 and still love her
i felt like i needed to understand more about Taylor but couldn't pinpoint what, but this documentary was exactly the deep dive i needed. tysm!!
Great video!!! Really enjoyed it and would love to see a follow up of the fearless era like you mentioned.
I'm going to tune in on more video's following your site 🥂🙏💟🥧
OMG, you did such a great job with this video!! Watched ALL of it! Please, please.. make more!
Good work on this, fair and balance, real journalistic integrity... You are a journalist
This must be very hard to research and edit but it's perfect. Very insightful!
Reading young Taylor's journal entry tugs on my heart strings :((
This was actually so entertaining. I’d rather watch this again than a movie I’ve never seen before. I learned so much abt Taylor and this seems like it took so much time and effort to the point where I’d be disappointed in myself if I didn’t subscribe.
Please make a series out of this!! Great content! 🫶
Was a huge fan of her vlogs back in the day & can vividly remember checking her MySpace page every day for blogs lol 😂 🦋 so nostalgic!!
you are AMAZING. the absolute patience, skill and passion it takes to make something like this is so impressive! your love for taylor really shines through. will be keeping my eyes on this channel from now on. congrats on this great piece of work
Wow what an amazingly detailed video! Thanks for this deep dive. I've been a fan since 1989 and I've never seen and didn't know most of this about taylors start!
love this!! saw this in my recommendations and i’m so glad i clicked! huge fan of long form content and this was really well made and researched:))
all of the oldest songs brought me back to when i was young and knew every word to her first public songs 😭😭😭 love your video!!!
what a well-crafted documentary! this is awesome :D
Thanks for making this video!
wow I learned A LOT from this video, please do more for the rest of her career!!
This is a fabulous in depth and well researched documentary! Several sections had me in tears. It makes me want to buy all those version of the lover album with the journals if they still exist. Thank-you for doing this.
This is an incredible video. As a swiftie for a decade. I have never seen almost half of this videos of her. Thank you! You did an amazing job! ❤❤❤
Such a good, comprehensive, entertaining video! Thank you!
This was recommended to me and omg it was so good! Thank you so much for putting this together and I swore you were a regular video essayist the entire time until you gave your brief background at the end. Keep this up! You’re a natural!
thanks!! that’s so sweet!! 🥹🥰
This is the most in depth, and detailed, and, best video on Taylor I have ever seen! TY!❤❤❤
Such a great video! Cover her fearless and speak now era! Cover anything about taylor and ill watch it you are so amazing!! Giving us such gems about taylor!
This is so good, you should totally make one for Fearless too!!
This is much better and more detailed than a lot of the commercial docs out there. Thanks so much for ll your hard work. It's appreciated!
please upload more! you have a bright future in youtube ahead of you!
