when the author had other kids books he had made sure he put an lgbtq resource he worked with in his biography. I was a teen when Wicked came out and when I saw his biography it was the first gay/trans resource I ever access to, other than news media on the AIDS epidemic.
adaption and adaptation may seem similar, but they have distinct meanings and uses. Adaption is when something has been changed by its environment. Adaptation is changing or updating something to make it better or more functional in a different setting. I was curious so looked it up. To me it doesn't matter, I understand what is said
Yeah it’s not a matter of oh pronounce it how you want, it’s an entirely different word/meaning. If she’s ok with the meaning being misconstrued that’s ok but she should at least be aware of it
Wow, the book is SO DIFFERENT from the Broadway version. I personally like it more when something is improved/changed for the better. I feel like many live action Disney movies are literally trying to be the same as the animated version but there is no point to do that. Change and grow!
Actually the wicked from book to movie compares more to how Disney changes the Grimm brothers stories and turned them into kids movies. That’s the better analogy. The lesson here is : not always an edgier story is better. Recently everyone wants everything wants to be edgy and darker. Wicked the musical and Disney classics prove that is not Always the best way to go. Anyway Wicked stayed fairly dark way less than the novel but didn’t switch to something totally light and happy like let’s say the little mermaid.
