That was interesting information. I also work in the gaming industry and I get the part of most of it being communication between teammates, reports, and spreadsheets. “The magic is gone after a while...” totally get it.
Anderous I mean, it sounded bad if you are someone with no background knowledge of what it means to do this kind of job. But to me it sounded like common things I would experience doing my job.
I do love playing games , and I am a hardcore gamer , like my daily life is surrounded around it like alot . But do you really think I might be able to stay being a game tester?
I'm going thru QA stuff and I want to b manual to start make sure I like it and can catch on I feel gaming is a great entry point but the testers don't make much I don't wanna drop that much in pay but sacrifice is needed sometimes
i have a learning disabilty ADHD and i love playing video games but with no experience i do not think i will ever get the chance do it because i am 43 years old . very limited skills
Hi man, not sure if you're still active but im seeing this video in 2024 and im looking forward to getting into game testing. Is it really worth it? Would really love to get a reply. Thanks

did my first playtest and it wasn’t even “QA” but i was trying to be so careful because my game kept crashing. i never play like that ! lol the whole computer ended up crashing on day 2. 🥹 but it was just as you said, so fun to be around everyone working on this big project, being a part of it. talking to others about games, computer stuff.. it was inspiring. i was thinking the whole time like wow this is awesome I’m really getting paid to play games right now 🤩

So a lot of communicating with other people to do your job.
Yep. There are a lot of other factors like team size and scope but... the easiest way to get anything done is to talk :).
