@IanC rune packs, reappraisal packs, devilmon packs, you can buy symbols to craft runes, tens of thousands of crystals for refreshes. you could even technically even pay crystals to revive every run if you wipe so nothing goes to waste. so yea paying does make you win more than not paying. the dude who can't clear gb10, imagine if he didn't even have those nat 5's and had to try with nat 3's and shit.
The too many projects is so like me.. i have been playing for like a year and still can't auto gb10.. the problem is that whenever i got like a new monster my mind is just like "ooh new op nat 4 im gonna build it now!!" Still i ended up not building it, its sad that i have most of the monsters that can clear gb10.. and last but not least is that almost all of my monsters speed is so crappy like +7 - +19, but now i consider to focus on some of my monsters that will help me progress in the game, thanks man for opening my mind :)
It hurts how accurate that intro is x'D I got introduced to this game by a friend who had been playing since it was released, so when I turned lvl 50 I was like " Idk what your whole fuss was about playing since forever, I reached lvl 50 in like 2 weeks. Well at least I caught up to you now :3 " And he had this.. you know in animes and sometimes movies when a character is so pissed off that you can see the eyebow twitching and the whole face looks like they ate a lemon 'cause it gets crinkley? ye.. that was his expression and I didn't get the hint. 2 years later now I feel like a grandmom telling it to young kids that still have the option to run before the game sucks them in.
We should still not Forget about the fact that playing games is about having fun, not always about using the most efficient and fastest way to progress. If a new Player really wants to Play rta and it is fun for him to Play in the low ranks he should do it. Of course some Things like the Veromos Fusion or getting a consistant gb10 Team is very important but other than that I think you should play a game how you can enjoy it most because thats what it is made for.
@SomethingReallyStrange Mine is harder, had to choose every week which to buy. A Devilmon (For my nearly fused wind Valkyrja) or a specific element scroll (Wind/Water/Fire). And I've saved lots of arena points that I currently have about +700 a week.
ahahaha.. so true... yesterday in siege I attacked Chasun, Hwa and Arang with Vero, Lushen and Iona (last 6* mons i had)... several minutes and survives later I barely was able to win... damn Chasun blossomed hwa like 50 gazillion times :D
yea i see veromos, chasun and theomars defense. i am a simple man so i attack it. i kill theomars. no problem. but i can never kill chasun and vermos procs me off the planet. but it was nice to see veromos can do well with nice runes in latish game.
Not when you have Seara! It's bomb time bitches! Even if you don't kill Chasun with one bomb, you still get the stun. Seara, Lushen, Galleon, and a random AOE nuker, nuff said.
It's 2018 and Com2Us still hasn't released the new area. It still says "preparing update" Quote Com2Us 2017 "It's going to be released by the end of the year"
Good vid. I disagree with #2 though. Especially for early players. They need monsters. The 3* mon help and if they get a Nat 5 or Nat 4 that helps a lot. What's the point of refreshing 30 energy? That's 1 energy per crystal. That's not a good deal. Once you get to mid game where you can farm giants on auto in less than 3 min and you have 90 energy. Yeah, refresh. Before that, get premium packs. Get some monsters.
Yeah that is why in my tutorials use premium packs over refreshes as you get so much energy in return you do not need to refresh till you hit the higher floors in the dungeons. Like you can beat whole scenario with runes you get for free, simple trick at the start is prioritize rune sets over rune stats at the start.

I have to admit... I'm guilty of pretty much all of these (well, close at least) on my main account that I've been playing for over 3 years... And yes, I fused away Lushen... not once, not twice, but three times (major regrets). I've learned from my mistakes... and yes, I still have a ton of "projects" in my storage, and that's fine, I'll get to 'em some day. I have a solid GB10 team now and am working on rune upgrades, one monster at a time... Great video Jew, keep 'em coming!
I got dark paladin from a wish at level 8 or 9, at the time I didnt knew what I was doing, one guy on chat helped me and toll me to see some of your videos and shredded and I liked your content, now I am lvl 25 and I think I havent done all those mistakes thanks to you and others, I just got water dragon from the 3 mystical scroll compensation and I think he works for giant or scenarios, not like dark paladin, I will try to do swift on him since I can do gb6 for now, the rest of my team its light inugami, bernard, shannon and light vagabond (and water magic knight but dragon will take her placer), I will do a konayima but dont know if I must or who should be replaced for it (vagabond or inugami I guess) and I dont know when I should start farming for ifrit fusion
Hey JB, first of all, thanks for all your content - (all your streams). I've noticed your aversion to Premium pack, and I wanted to leave my thought - I've been doing some number crunching, and I can see some points in buying premium packs 1) Based on the numbers from SWfarm, MS drop rate in GB/DB/NB 10 are 0.8%. This means that you have to, on average, run 125 runs to get 1 MS. Say that we have a 100% completion rate, and it takes 7 energy per run (8-an occasional energy refund), you need 875 energy per MS. Since you can get 90 energy per 30 crystals, quick maths means that, via Dungeon, the MS cost comes to approx 292 Crystals, per MS. - I don't disagree with the fact that you need runes/mana to upgrade runes etc, however, based on the cost per MS, this seems inefficient. 2) On top of above, If you just got into GB10, so your clear time is slow, (3mins at 125 runs is 6 hours and 15 mins per MS), this is torture.... (and efficiency of cost per crystals goes down further, if you don't have your energy totem maxed, to get 90 energy per 30 crystals. 3) Runes are important, but so are skillups. I love another nat 5, but following your thoughts, I'm pretty keen to try out new monsters. But the fact remains, that some nat 4's, can't harness their usefulness until they are skilled up (I'm still working on Hwahee, Emma, etc). Since you can't actually farm them, you have to either sacrifice your devilmon, or.... find a way to get more MS. (my point being, your not only chasing 5 stars, but sometimes 4, or even 3's to feed, when you can't farm them) 4) It's fun. We are here to summon, after-all. Either way, I totally agreed with everything else you've said, and I wish I was watching your video much much earlier. I wanted to see if you had any thoughts around this energy/crystal ROI per MS. Keep up the videos (in all your channels :))

trying to synergize teams is one of the biggest problems, i think and its basically down to not knowing what each of your monsters does,, i am guilty of this none of my teams have been set up to speed sync its just luck if they do. ive watched so many UA-cam video's on teams for TOA giants, dragons necro and rift that i know what teams are best, but have very little idea about why these teams work and how their skills act on the team that is used.. trying to remember what everyone of your monsters skills does is something that is learnt over time, ive tended to stick to the same teams for the past 6 months even though i have had some new nat 5's. if it aint broke dont fix it
i like how i started playing this game, realizing i dont know if rare is better than magic (i do now) a few hours into the game, realizing im probably failing a lot in the game, coming to this video (i play alot of rpg before this game) then realizing im a beginner and im probably already better than people twice my level (weird flex but ok)

thanks man, this video really helped :) I'm a returning player. I realized a lot of my problems stem from building to many projects and focusing on to many areas at once in turn lack of progression. I came back to the game, and realized how crappyly speed tuned and mediocrely runed they are (like lushen only having 78% critdmg)
Ok this team might sound very fricking weird, but if you're trying to beat anything mainly using continuous dmg, then have these 3 in your team. Asima (Light Hell Lady), Jamire (Wind Dragon), and Eirgar (Vampire Lord). Eirgar increases the atk power of the Asima and everyone else, Asima inflicts the Continuous Dmg, then sometimes if runed correctly (in my opinion) gets another turn, to use her second move/skill Gouge, inflicting more continuous dmg. Once that is done, Jamire can reset everyone's cooldown time, then Eirgar can do the same thing, then Asima once again, inflicting a ton of Dmg.
I remember when SW was like that, it was very hard to grow up because you needed a lot of monster tip team to clear some game stuff, and if it you haven't like I said it was kind of hard to also make 6 start monsters etc. This video is from 2018, not too old about Summoners war.
Naw.. then the game would feel too easy... eventually after a while all the dedicated players would just end up having all the same rune sets as eachother.. cause everyone would just farm the best runes over the course of time. The difficulty in getting your dream rune gives a chance to learn to adjust and adapt. And it really weeds out those players that are not willing to work as hard as the ones that want to be the best of the best!
Cryptfire for people starting fresh have hell scenarios drop 5 star runes it's random but would help some who just started at least be able to get somewhere

Good day. I want to be honest with you, typically I would not consider myself your audience because you are usually a little over the top for me (especially the summoning videos/streams). However, I really enjoyed this video where you are calm and collected and explaining things in a very well designed manner. I am more of a mid-game player so I do understand (and wish I knew when I actually started) the things you are saying. Basically, I really liked this video and I hope you are doing more educational guide videos in the future because I found this video very informative and well put together for new players.
Great points which I constantly bring up to my guildies, however about the Too many projects part, there is a certain exception to that for certain monsters some examples for that: Hwa - usualy people make the mistake of thinking she is nothing more than a R5 monster, however many people underestimate her power for mid game, she can help you alot on ToA Bosses and for Guild War/Siege and honestly people think you need her on Violent even for raids still, however you can just put 6 random runes with the right stats(you also don't need to have high CD for her too) and she can still be quite helpful and effective even for Giants(ShreddedPuzzle kinda makes a great example of how underestimated Hwa can be) Tractor/Rina/Groggo - those 3 in particular usualy don't require that much in terms of stats to be effective at what they can do, for example Rina can be quite amazing at baiting out Seara bombs and honestly all you realy need is HP on her, you don't need her to be 200 Spd with amazing runes for her to be useful, so if you have some spare Energy runes with high HP on them why not throw them on her, same sort of aplies to her Def scaling brother, you can easily build Tractor with SPD/Def/Def build have him at mediocre spd and he can still help you out on things like GWO/GSO Copper/Buldozer/Dover/Eshir - while this might be more towards the later stages of the game example if you think about it there realy aren't that many units who actualy benefit from the runes those monsters need, for example how many monsters in the game are there who would want Def/Crit/CD focused stats compared to Atk/Crit/CD or Spd/HP types of runes ? that should sum this up

The biggest thing I do with my arena points is get my devilmon every week. Also, I fall into #5. I am working on building Sig (I have all the monsters for him, I just got to raise the food to make them 5 star and awaken 1 more of them, but I keep getting side tracked.

I think I have done pretty well, luckily because i found your channel, as well as many other sw youtubers before i got too far in the game. I learned a lot early on and now I can do GB10, DB10, toa, r4 and I am currently working on a nb10 team and its been less than a year. I for sure fell into the too many projects trap though lol

Yo Jewboy, you got awesome videos and this one is a really good as well since it explains in "short" how and what to do for the new players. Keep up the good work, you even inspired me to make a free to play account fully, where I don't use anything else except nat 2's, and so far am clearing gb9, and yes it's all about runes. P.S. In your GB10 team, Sophia should go after Galion, since she can reduce the atk bar down to 0 from the boss, and with that you don't need to worry about it. Also, if you make her really fast for pvp content, you can actually cut in for example, armor brake a Woosa and reduce it's atk bar to 0, so that way no wish of immortality, no heals, and you can after he gets armor broken, just nuke him down with another unit. Just a quick tip. ^^
I have to dissagre with premium packs, some people doesn't have time to farm dungs regullary every day and they still need scrolls but the drop rate for scrolls in dungeon is not super good
How do you "need" scrolls ? If its food, dungeons gives plenty of unknown scrolls for 2 stars and if lucky 3 stars food. If you buy premium pack to feed them off i hope your wallet is big. The game gives you everything to run a gb10 team without summoning a thing.
Kazeshini I'm f2p, and all of my nat 5 i pulled are mostly form premium packs (and toa summons too but whatever) and I have seven nat 5s without spending money on the game :)

Sorry to sound like a douche, but what i said was if you buy premium packs so you can get fodder to 6* stuff, itll cost ya big in the wallet doing this over and over. The game already provides new player with a gb10 team. With all the events going on, you should just let those crystals accumulating while you solidify your gb10 team and then use those crystals as refresh when your lvl 50. Its just the cost saving way imo but to each his own. Grats on using what, 7500, 10000 or even more crystals to get those nat 5s. Even more grats if you only spent 750 and got 7 nat 5 out of 11 scrolls. I myself wouldnt spend that amount of cyrstals anymore on premium since in 2 or 3 days of farming i can get the equivalent in scrolls, if not more when im lucky all the while getting runes. Just today i got 7 scrolls farming, plus the 3 that com2us gave us and voila, almost a premium pack and i only farmed lol.

I actually liked the comparison/explanation with "You first get a pizza and THEN put the cheese on it" Like, your team is the Pizza "foundation" and then the cheese is the runes, that should make the whole thing look good or delicious in that context. Maybe putting it further as in if you can't provide a good Pizza (team) then don't invite people to come over for a party (Raid).

This is the best way I've seen it put by anybody. I've been guilty of some of these mistakes myself, which is why I spent a whole year on this game not progressing and quit for another whole year before coming back.

This has helped me on some points and strengthened me on others. I've noticed I've become more focused on building what I currently have (nat five onwards) that I am going to focus to 6* and I look at what I summon and if they can strengthen my GB10 and DB10 teams (I'm planning to start working on nb10 now). Arena I already do but I gave a knowing look to my partner who hates farming it but complains I have so many towers at max level. My only thing is farming runes (I generally do but atm doing some water homun skill ups because I got bored) I just need to sit it out and focus on it more.
I haven't been playing long but this video has opened my eyes a bit to what I've been doing wrong as a f2p. Player honestly I have 0 nat5s and I'm ok with it but i see where the grinding is so important for this game.

Of course some Things like the Veromos Fusion or getting a consistant gb10 Team is very important but other than that I think you should play a game how you can enjoy it most because thats what it is made for.

ahahaha.. so true... yesterday in siege I attacked Chasun, Hwa and Arang with Vero, Lushen and Iona (last 6* mons i had)... several minutes and survives later I barely was able to win... damn Chasun blossomed hwa like 50 gazillion times :D

Good vid. I disagree with #2 though. Especially for early players. They need monsters. The 3* mon help and if they get a Nat 5 or Nat 4 that helps a lot. What's the point of refreshing 30 energy? That's 1 energy per crystal. That's not a good deal. Once you get to mid game where you can farm giants on auto in less than 3 min and you have 90 energy. Yeah, refresh. Before that, get premium packs. Get some monsters.

Yeah that is why in my tutorials use premium packs over refreshes as you get so much energy in return you do not need to refresh till you hit the higher floors in the dungeons. Like you can beat whole scenario with runes you get for free, simple trick at the start is prioritize rune sets over rune stats at the start.

I have to admit... I'm guilty of pretty much all of these (well, close at least) on my main account that I've been playing for over 3 years... And yes, I fused away Lushen... not once, not twice, but three times (major regrets). I've learned from my mistakes... and yes, I still have a ton of "projects" in my storage, and that's fine, I'll get to 'em some day. I have a solid GB10 team now and am working on rune upgrades, one monster at a time... Great video Jew, keep 'em coming!

I got dark paladin from a wish at level 8 or 9, at the time I didnt knew what I was doing, one guy on chat helped me and toll me to see some of your videos and shredded and I liked your content, now I am lvl 25 and I think I havent done all those mistakes thanks to you and others, I just got water dragon from the 3 mystical scroll compensation and I think he works for giant or scenarios, not like dark paladin, I will try to do swift on him since I can do gb6 for now, the rest of my team its light inugami, bernard, shannon and light vagabond (and water magic knight but dragon will take her placer), I will do a konayima but dont know if I must or who should be replaced for it (vagabond or inugami I guess) and I dont know when I should start farming for ifrit fusion

Hey JB, first of all, thanks for all your content - (all your streams). I've noticed your aversion to Premium pack, and I wanted to leave my thought -
I've been doing some number crunching, and I can see some points in buying premium packs
1) Based on the numbers from SWfarm, MS drop rate in GB/DB/NB 10 are 0.8%. This means that you have to, on average, run 125 runs to get 1 MS.
Say that we have a 100% completion rate, and it takes 7 energy per run (8-an occasional energy refund), you need 875 energy per MS. Since you can get 90 energy per 30 crystals, quick maths means that, via Dungeon, the MS cost comes to approx 292 Crystals, per MS. - I don't disagree with the fact that you need runes/mana to upgrade runes etc, however, based on the cost per MS, this seems inefficient.
2) On top of above, If you just got into GB10, so your clear time is slow, (3mins at 125 runs is 6 hours and 15 mins per MS), this is torture.... (and efficiency of cost per crystals goes down further, if you don't have your energy totem maxed, to get 90 energy per 30 crystals.
3) Runes are important, but so are skillups. I love another nat 5, but following your thoughts, I'm pretty keen to try out new monsters. But the fact remains, that some nat 4's, can't harness their usefulness until they are skilled up (I'm still working on Hwahee, Emma, etc). Since you can't actually farm them, you have to either sacrifice your devilmon, or.... find a way to get more MS. (my point being, your not only chasing 5 stars, but sometimes 4, or even 3's to feed, when you can't farm them)
4) It's fun. We are here to summon, after-all.
Either way, I totally agreed with everything else you've said, and I wish I was watching your video much much earlier. I wanted to see if you had any thoughts around this energy/crystal ROI per MS.

Asmo I'm c1, didn't have chloe and khmun. But I have spd/cd/atk full totems, this made my game.

trying to synergize teams is one of the biggest problems, i think and its basically down to not knowing what each of your monsters does,, i am guilty of this none of my teams have been set up to speed sync its just luck if they do. ive watched so many UA-cam video's on teams for TOA giants, dragons necro and rift that i know what teams are best, but have very little idea about why these teams work and how their skills act on the team that is used.. trying to remember what everyone of your monsters skills does is something that is learnt over time, ive tended to stick to the same teams for the past 6 months even though i have had some new nat 5's. if it aint broke dont fix it

thanks man, this video really helped :) I'm a returning player. I realized a lot of my problems stem from building to many projects and focusing on to many areas at once in turn lack of progression. I came back to the game, and realized how crappyly speed tuned and mediocrely runed they are (like lushen only having 78% critdmg)

Actually. For low levels, its more beneficiary to buy premium packs than to refill for your energy
Ok this team might sound very fricking weird, but if you're trying to beat anything mainly using continuous dmg, then have these 3 in your team. Asima (Light Hell Lady), Jamire (Wind Dragon), and Eirgar (Vampire Lord). Eirgar increases the atk power of the Asima and everyone else, Asima inflicts the Continuous Dmg, then sometimes if runed correctly (in my opinion) gets another turn, to use her second move/skill Gouge, inflicting more continuous dmg. Once that is done, Jamire can reset everyone's cooldown time, then Eirgar can do the same thing, then Asima once again, inflicting a ton of Dmg.
I remember when SW was like that, it was very hard to grow up because you needed a lot of monster tip team to clear some game stuff, and if it you haven't like I said it was kind of hard to also make 6 start monsters etc. This video is from 2018, not too old about Summoners war.
Here I am, still making most of these mistakes while I have been playing this game for 1013 days, gosh feels bad...
I think they should increase the rune drop rate of % 2,4,6 runes and take out flat 2,4,6 runes!

Naw.. then the game would feel too easy... eventually after a while all the dedicated players would just end up having all the same rune sets as eachother.. cause everyone would just farm the best runes over the course of time. The difficulty in getting your dream rune gives a chance to learn to adjust and adapt. And it really weeds out those players that are not willing to work as hard as the ones that want to be the best of the best!
Cryptfire for people starting fresh have hell scenarios drop 5 star runes it's random but would help some who just started at least be able to get somewhere

Good day. I want to be honest with you, typically I would not consider myself your audience because you are usually a little over the top for me (especially the summoning videos/streams). However, I really enjoyed this video where you are calm and collected and explaining things in a very well designed manner. I am more of a mid-game player so I do understand (and wish I knew when I actually started) the things you are saying.
Basically, I really liked this video and I hope you are doing more educational guide videos in the future because I found this video very informative and well put together for new players.
Great points which I constantly bring up to my guildies, however about the Too many projects part, there is a certain exception to that for certain monsters some examples for that:
Hwa - usualy people make the mistake of thinking she is nothing more than a R5 monster, however many people underestimate her power for mid game, she can help you alot on ToA Bosses and for Guild War/Siege and honestly people think you need her on Violent even for raids still, however you can just put 6 random runes with the right stats(you also don't need to have high CD for her too) and she can still be quite helpful and effective even for Giants(ShreddedPuzzle kinda makes a great example of how underestimated Hwa can be)
Tractor/Rina/Groggo - those 3 in particular usualy don't require that much in terms of stats to be effective at what they can do, for example Rina can be quite amazing at baiting out Seara bombs and honestly all you realy need is HP on her, you don't need her to be 200 Spd with amazing runes for her to be useful, so if you have some spare Energy runes with high HP on them why not throw them on her, same sort of aplies to her Def scaling brother, you can easily build Tractor with SPD/Def/Def build have him at mediocre spd and he can still help you out on things like GWO/GSO
Copper/Buldozer/Dover/Eshir - while this might be more towards the later stages of the game example if you think about it there realy aren't that many units who actualy benefit from the runes those monsters need, for example how many monsters in the game are there who would want Def/Crit/CD focused stats compared to Atk/Crit/CD or Spd/HP types of runes ? that should sum this up

Also, I fall into #5. I am working on building Sig (I have all the monsters for him, I just got to raise the food to make them 5 star and awaken 1 more of them, but I keep getting side tracked.

Yo Jewboy, you got awesome videos and this one is a really good as well since it explains in "short" how and what to do for the new players. Keep up the good work, you even inspired me to make a free to play account fully, where I don't use anything else except nat 2's, and so far am clearing gb9, and yes it's all about runes.
P.S. In your GB10 team, Sophia should go after Galion, since she can reduce the atk bar down to 0 from the boss, and with that you don't need to worry about it. Also, if you make her really fast for pvp content, you can actually cut in for example, armor brake a Woosa and reduce it's atk bar to 0, so that way no wish of immortality, no heals, and you can after he gets armor broken, just nuke him down with another unit. Just a quick tip. ^^
I have to dissagre with premium packs, some people doesn't have time to farm dungs regullary every day and they still need scrolls but the drop rate for scrolls in dungeon is not super good
How do you "need" scrolls ? If its food, dungeons gives plenty of unknown scrolls for 2 stars and if lucky 3 stars food. If you buy premium pack to feed them off i hope your wallet is big. The game gives you everything to run a gb10 team without summoning a thing.
Kazeshini I'm f2p, and all of my nat 5 i pulled are mostly form premium packs (and toa summons too but whatever) and I have seven nat 5s without spending money on the game :)

Sorry to sound like a douche, but what i said was if you buy premium packs so you can get fodder to 6* stuff, itll cost ya big in the wallet doing this over and over. The game already provides new player with a gb10 team. With all the events going on, you should just let those crystals accumulating while you solidify your gb10 team and then use those crystals as refresh when your lvl 50. Its just the cost saving way imo but to each his own. Grats on using what, 7500, 10000 or even more crystals to get those nat 5s. Even more grats if you only spent 750 and got 7 nat 5 out of 11 scrolls. I myself wouldnt spend that amount of cyrstals anymore on premium since in 2 or 3 days of farming i can get the equivalent in scrolls, if not more when im lucky all the while getting runes. Just today i got 7 scrolls farming, plus the 3 that com2us gave us and voila, almost a premium pack and i only farmed lol.

Like, your team is the Pizza "foundation" and then the cheese is the runes, that should make the whole thing look good or delicious in that context. Maybe putting it further as in if you can't provide a good Pizza (team) then don't invite people to come over for a party (Raid).

This is the best way I've seen it put by anybody. I've been guilty of some of these mistakes myself, which is why I spent a whole year on this game not progressing and quit for another whole year before coming back.

This has helped me on some points and strengthened me on others. I've noticed I've become more focused on building what I currently have (nat five onwards) that I am going to focus to 6* and I look at what I summon and if they can strengthen my GB10 and DB10 teams (I'm planning to start working on nb10 now). Arena I already do but I gave a knowing look to my partner who hates farming it but complains I have so many towers at max level. My only thing is farming runes (I generally do but atm doing some water homun skill ups because I got bored) I just need to sit it out and focus on it more.
So I'm only 3 days into the game and this is what I was looking for. Was about to buy premium packs 😅. Thanks for the great vid.
