@@ratman262 dragons too. I feel like there are just way too many dragons there and it makes the other boss dragons feel less special somehow. I think outside of Radahn there is really nothing in Caelid I genuinely enjoy. It's as you said, just an annoyance to even search for caves or loot there.
@@ratman262 Man, every motherfuckin area in this motherfuckin game sucks to explore. Randomly finding that elevator that goes down to Nokron was pretty neat, but nearly everything else about it eventually makes me realize I just suck at it and then I subsequently wish random fatal brain aneurysms upon anyone and everyone involved in making this fuckin game. I wish I hadn't played it so much because there's parts that I really like about it, but not enough to pick it back up again.
Another good weapon to use for a Nerevarine build would be the Monk's Flameblade, it even has flame in its name. Only issue with it is that it's a random drop from an enemy that appears near the end of the game unfortunately, looks really close to Trueflame though!
To be fair, I _knew_ Flaming Strike was a weapon buff ash, and for a moment I thought I'd been scammed. I had to look up how to actually apply the buff. It really is a good ash. It doesn't come out as fast as Catch Flame, sadly, but it does cover a wider arc and it's super cheap. Something interesting to note is that Fire ashes scale with STR, and so do more damage with a Heavy affinity than Fire. Ditto for Lightning ashes on a Keen affinity. That said, the weapon buff will perform better on a matching affinity.
@@Greywander87 if you make something heavy/keen, it doesn't add the elemental damage and instead just bumps the STR/DEX scaling up. the elemental damage is only dealt when its affinity is set as Fire/Flame Art/Lightning, and then it scales off of STR/FAI/DEX respectively. the heavy and keen affinities do more damage because split damage is almost always lower than pure phys
I think it is funny how often I saw an ER or DS3 challenge runs where the guy doing the run finds out half way through the game that the move that they used the entire game so far had a follow up
There're some snake men up north. Could be Tsaesci. You also get yourself a steel daikatana at some point. Daikatanas are what inspired the blades' signature armaments. Hmm, some of the "misbegotten" could be tang mo and ka po tun.

It feels like the leap to Elden ring from morrowind makes sense bc both games allow the player a ton of freedom in how they want to approach challenges
12:28 I'd advise against killing Gatekeeper Gostoc personally, if you finish his questline you get access to an Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone for those +25 on standard weapons, which are limited to 13 per run unless you go into NG+ This is just general advice, I appreciate it doesn't apply to this run specifically : P Also if you wanna nuke Gostoc I get it, he is an annoying and a backstabber to boot XD
one tip for the boss design in this game, is to never roll backward. It's a quick trap that their ai is always ready to catch your rolls, its pretty dangerous. the safest spots usually involve going to their back in a diagonal roll forward. you'd be surprised how much that helps.
I'm someone that delves into game knowledge first and then gather skill later. I played Elden Ring around a few months after it came out and in between the release and the play I learned as much as I could, still pretty mid but I wouldn't say I'm bad. Now this year I had entered into Morrowind and it is almost just as you say, Morrowind is relatively easy with knowledge and no restrictions and that's without the insane exploits turning you godlike prematurely. I had done playthroughs of Skyrim and Oblivion before but neither reached the level of knowledge bias that Morrowind has. This is why the concept of gaming is so interesting.
Dunmer can inherently summon their ancestor spirits in battle. Spirit summons would make sense.
