John: Steve Morse's catalog is the deepest dive you'll ever take - for two reasons. A) The guy is even better as a composer than as a guitarist (if you can believe it)nd B) the sheer variety in his writing will blow you away.
I saw this trio perform in Chicago in the early 2000’s. It looks like the same stage set up. I don’t find many channels that react to high energy fusion like this, which is why I am now subscribed. Thanks for sharing.
That's Dave LaRue on base and Van Romaine on drums. Please check out at least one other of the Steve Morse Band's several albums (eg: High Tension Wires) which came after the Dixie Dregs had released 11 albums. There is a long , very intricate, and beautiful guitar rabbit hole of Steve's work. Well worth the musical experience! With Peace and Love to All! (Michael)😂
Tumeni Notes is another one l know you'll like. And the Bash by the Dixie Dreggs. I think he was between the Steve Morse Band and the Dreggs is why he's only got a couple solo albums. That and he's been playing with other players too. Peace
I saw him on this tour in Augusta, GA. This is a pretty good recording. Watching him do this stuff is insane. If you're not a fan, you should be if you play guitar or bass. This is some high-level stuff.

Perhaps the best all around guitarist for the past 50 yrs. Morse left Purple to care for his dying wife. She passed away on Feb 4, 2024.
