      @embreys you love some waxed canvas! Hopefully POV cam wasn’t to wobbly, going to try a sure that up for the next sling in the series.

    Awesome quick review of a bag maker I haven't heard of. The dyneema version you focused on looks like a winner. I for one am a sling wearer, and to be honest have too many but am intrigued by the flexibility of this Wavpak. I like that the strap is fully removable which converts the bag into a gear pouch (mentioned below) or as you stated an accessory to the outside of another pack. With the internal loop it also provide additional customization options. I definitely don't need but want 🤑

      I think it’s the perfect size for everything you mentioned and definitely more affordable then some other alternatives.

    Really digging the array of materials and options for these slings. Already have an Alpaka Go Sling Nano, which is about the same at 1.6L, but a waxed canvas sling is something I wasn't familiar with having an inkling toward.
    POV shot was actually super useful, btw. Not that shaky at all!

      Yeah the waxed canvas is really nice! Glad people like the POV cam, definitely an improvement. Going to build upon that for the next one.

    Like the new camera view. I hadnt thought of pairing a sling with my backpack (same fabric) but with the different fabric and the size they come in is perfect for me.
    Also, i feel like it can double as a pouch which is also 🔥🔥🔥
    Awesome video, as always !!!

      @@NightShift_EDC I failed to mention that! Take the strap and buckles off, it can totally be a pouch.

      I love the look and the feel of the waxed canvas. I can’t wait to see how it patinas over time. The organization is just right for this size bag. But I agree with you this is not 2 liters. More like 1.25 of 1.5. I love the bright lining against the black waxed canvas. All in all I’m very happy with it.

    In what way is this different to the Boogie? I don't own either bags, but I was curious to hear more about what you meant by them being similar in design but not occupying the same space.

    • @UnPackD
      @UnPackD  2 місяці тому +1

      Shape and layout is very similar but boogie bag is much bigger and built like a tank, you can feel the difference between the two. Boogie also has additional hardware in side like metal “D” rings, and pin loop. It also has a drain hole and 3in webbing at the bottom for additional gear storage. So yeah the biggest difference is in overall construction, hard to put into works but my next video is on the boogie bag. Best way I could describe is boogie is built like a tank and built to be used and abused, Wavpak quality is just fine but the difference is noticeable to me.
      I’m no expert by a long shot though just my opinion and observation.

      @julesbarcelonarules 2 місяці тому +2

      @UnPackD exactly the kind of observation that is super useful! It's probably not trying to BE a Boogie. Just a simpler, affordable alternative that has choices in materials to match existing backpacks.

      @@julesbarcelonarules I think you summed it up absolutely perfectly. The thoughts are in my head but sometimes hard to get them out as words lol. I’m aiming for Tuesday for the boogie video to be done, Friday the latest. Thanks for checking out the video 🤝

      @unpackd it’s a rip off of the boogie mk2. You’re comparing it to a mk3. Davey Phan, the wavpak owner even said it’s knockoff boogie when he was selling via DMs prior to having the website and IG

    • @UnPackD
      @UnPackD  2 місяці тому

      @@bnagata I mean i guess, wavpak doesn’t have the elastic storage at the bottom doesn’t have the metal d ring and metal carabiner, it’s not the same size and definitely not constructed the same. Same shape and layout, but I have both in hand and boogie is clearly the better bag. Knock off at best but still for the price not bad.
      Edit: yes comparing to MKIII as that’s the current boogie. Never had a MKII

    Affordable? Don't get me wrong, they look cool, but for made in Vietnam 2L slings, I wouldn't call these affordable...

    • @UnPackD
      @UnPackD  2 місяці тому

      Meant more in the sense that they’re using name brand material from Challenge Sail cloth, Halley Stevensons waxed canvas. Compared to other companies using those same materials, these are a tad cheaper than some others. I have a dyneema sling similar size and build that cost me double.
      I don’t know a lot about MIV stuff but my MIV gorucks seem better build than my MIUS ones lol. Only slightly cheaper too
