I do a little share out on my new ModuCase 1604 unit which is built of four sixth110 and two sixth98 display cases. This unit is ideal for a mix of smaller collectibles like one-sixth scale Hot Toys or even 1/4 scale Hot Toys and similar larger figures (which fit in the sixth98 cases).

Great video and tips on these cases! I’m debating converting my detolfs into moducases for my hot toys figures.
Although lots of space i feel the bottom 2 cabinets are blind, you really either, crouch down, or step back to fully see them, I feel the layout also pushes for a scene more than a display, but thats me, statues go well with these
Yes the issue of low display is universal. It’s the same issue with bottom shelf of a Detolf or any case that sits on the floor. They do have a riser if you want that has a drawer. It will lift the display but cost you vertical space. Obviously if you’re sitting in your desk or chair, the vantage point for the lower cases is better. The sixth cases are generally too small for statues, except for the tall Sixth98 cases. I’d suggest DF or Max for statue displays. Thanks for checking out the video 🤙
@@Dan14thPrime right, whereas I'm not saying detolfs are superior for this, but at least with the glass, all figures are visible in the end vs not

Great upgrade in display cabinets! I wonder are there any options to replacing the non-see through floor/shelves with glass shelves?
Thanks. Moducase doesn’t offer that but you could probably customize. 🤷🏻♂️

Thanks for taking the time to make these videos they are very helpful for a lot of people. Questions: Do the Sixth110 cases come with one LED bar or two and do you add any additional lights or upgrade your power supply when you are ordering.
If I recall it’s 2 LED bars and you daisy chain them. But you can also select spotlights too, which I actually prefer because they are softer and allow some shadowing. There are two types of power packs - one allows for multiple hook ups and they’ll provide it if you’re buying a wall unit. Their order interface online is pretty good. You just select an option. But you can always email their customer service too if questions when ordering. They’re great 👍

Did you choose the LED strips? They have option for LED strip and spotlight, but not sure the difference.
I have both. I prefer the spotlights because it's a softer light that still allows for shadows.
Nice setup. I have two of the Ikea Fabrikors and am looking at getting a Moducase for my statues so your setup literally is a helpful visualization for me. Thanks! The part of the Moducase housing Darth Vader, is that part of the Moducase you bought? Which model did you say it was? 1604?
Thanks. Yes that display is Sixth1604 unit which is built of four Sixth110 and two Sixth98. For statues, you will probably want the DF series at least.
I noticed they have two different led bars on the website. Which bar did you go with for your cases?
I didn’t notice two bars 🤔. I thought you could select bar or spotlights, and then you could select color (of light being pure white or maybe warm, I can’t recall exactly). I have bar light in pure white.
Hey, I was wondering if these come with anything to secure them to the wall to prevent it from tipping forward? Maybe it's completely fine without that but I'm in California where we get earthquakes.
Mine didn’t but you could do it a couple different ways I imagine.
Question. When joining the cases together does the 98 have plexy to the left and the 110 have plexy to the right where they join?
You just put the acrylic around the outside frames. The interior connecting sides can stay open. What side depends on how you configure your wall.

Does it make sense if on a budget to buy these one at a time? And then they just stack or combine?
You can do it but I think the wall combos bake in a discount. So if you buy case by case - in the long run you will pay more.
Also though stacking vertically wouldn’t be a problem, adding to the wall horizontally can be a pain in the ass because you have to take apart the adjacent case and remove the outside panel or squeeze the new case in the middle. Will create a lot of additional assembly work so if you do it - set your horizontal first so you can just go up from there in layers.
cool led or should I do warm color led?
I prefer pure white/cool because it’s closer to natural light and you see true color of your collection. When you go warm, it “tints” it. To see what I mean, check out my Commander Cody video. The light in my room is warm. The light in the case is pure white. You’ll see the difference in how it makes that figure look.

@@Dan14thPrime yea I get it but I guess I either want display individually like detolf but like mondu because it's a good set up. might just get a bunch of sixth55s.
@@kombatevolve If you have and intend to keep a small collection, Detolf with individual display looks nice. But at a certain point, it becomes a little impractical to keep adding a whole Detolf to display 4 to 8 figures. You end up with ten Detolfs which has its own challenges. 🤷🏻♂️. I’d say if you are or intend to collect 30 figures or more, things like Detolf and Billy just don’t work, unless you have unlimited floor space.
Where can I find the Moducase 1604 cases?
You buy them from Moducase 🤷🏻♂️
Could you break up the 1604 and separate them into two units if you wanted to to? I would like to separate the four 110s from the two 98s and place them in two different areas. Any limitations with the included lighting, power, etc?
Based on what they sent me, you could do that. They basically sent me everything as if I was building each case separate. I had lots of left over plexi, parts, power, etc.

Yes you put them wherever you like. They have brackets that can be placed anywhere in the aluminum frame. 👍
how long did it take for you to receive them? did the wiring come with your moducase?

Does it include front glass panel?
All the panels are acrylic - no glass. The front panel attaches with magnets so you can get in and out.

Yes - just check that box when you order. I didn’t request them though.
