Learn how, when and where to look for seashells & train your eyes how to find/spot/discover sea shells/shark teeth/fossils in the sand along tide wrack lines. Common beach treasures found beachcombing, sea shelling & exploring along the Lowcountry Ace Basin Beaufort, South Carolina coastline include whelk (knobbed/knobby, channeled, kiener, pear), lettered olive (SC state shell), shark eye moon snails, angel wing shells, clams (Quahog, Venus, jackknife, razor, imperial), blue mussels, lucines, murex (giant eastern, lace, apple), sea urchin, sand dollars, seastar/starfish, tulip (banded & true) auger, baby's ear, coral frags, jingle, slipper, drill, periwinkle, egg casings, horseshoe crab shells, sea sponges & seawhips. Our favorite rare beach finds include Indian artifacts, vertebrae, giant tun shell, mermaid purse, fossil shells & antique bottles! Hi y'all I am the brother of the girl who lost the beach ball thank y'all again for getting it for us, I was also wondering if you have any tips for fishing around there, we have a house across from the sand bar and never catch anything.
Hi. No problem. I definitely remember you guys. I really didn't do a thing. I was mainly watching to make sure she turned around. It's easy to tire out swimming against the tide and winds. Yes, we catch tons of fish all around the area. Take a look at some of our fishing videos. We fish lots of areas that's close to y'all. Our videos will lead you to some good areas as long as you get out and explore. You guys pass our community of Tansi Village coming and going to yours. Stay safe and we'll see y'all on the water.
My husband was describing this type of fishing to me, so cool!
Thanks for checking it out with us!
We vacation down in Fripp. Love the lowcountry. My happy place
I know how you feel. There's no other place like the coast of SC. We love it!
Love it when yall have Legrande with you!
We do too. Thanks for watching!
Happy fathers day!
Thank you!
Love watching your videos. Ty
Thanks so much! We're starting to get noticed by some of the locals out on the water. So cool, they're telling us that they're enjoying our videos too.
Love the shrimping videos. Legrandes laugh just makes my day! Those are some huge shrimp , yummy, but all the sharks are scary! Can't wait for next video!
Glad you enjoyed!
Awesome video. Thanks for bringing us along again.
That camera you are using is vary sharp.
Thanks for coming along buddy! We're trying to keep the videos coming.
I think Legrand was your good luck charm I love to see the sharks and different fish you catch was that one shark a hammer head I know they're usually bonnet enjoyed the video as always thank you
Legrande always brings us good luck. That was a little hammerhead. Stay safe!
What a beautiful day
Very!
Great video! Really appreciate your channel and your experiences. Plus I know grounded Christian people when I see them. Greatness.
Thanks! We're so glad there's so many people watching our videos and subscribing. When I (Oliver) pray I ask that God continues to lead me in the direction to spread his word. I'd say we're doing it through our videos. We were brought up with God in our lives and I'm sure we'll die with God in our lives. Stay safe and God bless!
Hard work for some large 🦐🍤 blessed to do
We love trawling and the shrimp are a bonus 😋
I just want to thank yall for sharing knowledge and experiences with us. I hope you know I stole the gum pack idea from yall lol its been a trick😆 I've been shelling this week with family and been sharing the knowledge I've learned from yall with them. I know what a jingles are now and my aunt has fallen in love them too. Thank you for everything!!! And happy shelling!!!🌴🐚🦈🐚🌴
Awesome! Thank y'all so much for watching! We're glad people are enjoying our videos.☺️
He sure did! Seems like Legrande is always good luck! 😎👍🌴🐙🐟🐦
I think so too! Thanks for watching and leaving us a comment!
Those baby sharks are interesting! Hard to imagine they grow up to be killing machines.
he probably was cussing you out saying hey i own the water lol! fixing to run the traps tomorrow morning hopefully we do some better luck!
LOL! Trying to push the little boat out the way. No, that kind of things don't happen. Good luck!
Thanks so much for showing how you get started. I would have never thought to pull up on a sandbar. It makes sense now that I have seen it. Also, thanks for showing how you take the harness and attach to an anchor with a float. I haven't bought a net yet for fishing up here in NC, but now I can see how the whole process works from end-to-end. Now I just need to upgrade from a 70 to 90 hp. motor.
No problem. Thanks for watching! A 70 should do just as good if you change your prop. Invest in a prop with a lower pitch. It's cheaper than buying another motor.
@@SaltyReflections With a recreation salt water gear license, max size for a shrimp trawl is 26'. Would I be better off to back down to a 20' trawl? A net company up this way has a 20' turn key shrimp trawl for $600.
That is A LOT of shrimp! What do you do with it all? Do you sell it to restaurants? Give away to family and friends?
Love your videos and have learned so much! Thank you!
Congrats on a great haul! Hope you got more than the sharks did!😁
Thanks! I hope we got more than the sharks too.😅 We did pretty good and had a great time. I can't ask for any more than that. Take care and stay safe.
Legrande is the man!
💯
Lawd thems sum bigguns!!!
Yes, we're catching some nice shrimp!
Very interesting, I have been shrimping with a cast net over bait but i had a buddy and they trawled for them like yall are doing....ive begged my buddies to buy us a net and get a license
We've done plenty of shrimping with cast nets too. We got into shrimp trawling a few years back and we fell in love with it. Shrimp trawling takes a long time to learn. We're still learning as we take everyone along with us on our videos. I'm hoping for some big pulls this year. I've been fixing up a 25' Parker powered by a 5.7 MerCruiser and we're going to be pulling a 40' net this year. I'm hoping plenty of you guys will stick with us and see how we do.
❤❤❤❤
❤️❤️
Excellent fishing videos. Please teach us about fishing-net and trawler speed etc, so that the youths of Sundarban area can engage themselves in fishing field. Regards-Ronee
We will try
Now that's the way to spend a Father's day!I know you had fun!
Wow very nice catch! Are you fishing commercial? I remember being a teen catching shrimp in the Broad River with a cast net. Missing Beaufort, but just retired and moved to Galveston Texas. Hoping to shrimp here.
Yessir, we're technically commercial fishing. I love shrimp trawling compared to all the other methods I've tried shrimping. So, we had to get a commercial license to trawl. It's so fun seeing what you get in each pull. I use to bait shrimp a lot but I think the shrimp we catch trawling tastes better.
👍
Thanks!
All I can think is fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, shrimp creole, shrimp scampi.....
😁 Shrimp stew, shrimp salad, shrimp kabobs... the list goes on and on. Thanks for the comment!
Show how you put the net into the water
We do occasionally. Thanks for watching.
Great adventure! Love all your videos. Have a bless day. Be careful.🤗
Thank you! You too!
I sure don't understand the net set up? With the 2 boards and the shape of the net and when you pull the net up it's just a small part of the net? At least what ever your doing it's working!
We're only pulling the tail bag in when we're checking it. It's the part where the shrimp collect at the back of the net. The net is shaped like a big funnel when we're pulling it and it's located at the small end.
Clean n nice size shrimp ur catch...how deep is here?
Yes, we're catching some nice ones. The area we trawl is from 5' to 25'. We have to pull until we find out what's working best.
Hhahahahah Olivier your first mate is trying to jump ships on you aint she...Tsk Tsk Tsk lol
Yep. LOL!
