I bought a Bespin Torture Chair off of eBay about a year and a half ago or so. The only difference between mine and yours is mine is one piece but hinged, and lowers forward towards the torture grid, and it is molded in dark blue plastic, like the color of the ramp struts on the vintage Millenium Falcon. I bought some stickers from various Star Wars sets that had control panels on them and placed them on the chair. Looks pretty good.
The prints are great. But I think some stuff you can purchase from Hasbro. I don't like Hasbro myself. But if the price value ratio is good I will get it
Display with door or without door question: I suppose this depends on how the display case tower itself is positioned -- do you primarily see it straight-on when you approach the display case, or at an angle first where the door could be seen?
In my curio cabinet I have a vinyl case behind the hallway which takes up ample space, so I have to display the hallway left to right as oppose to diagonally. Even without the vinyl case, I see the hallway displayed as such. 2 options, either work.
These are really cool, I especially like the torture chair. I would say the three panels without the door but it's all up to you, it's your show. :) Thanks for the video
I have the 3D printed Emperor’s chair. I painted it to match the colors of the movie chair and it sits on the second floor of my Death Star playset. 3D prints need to be painted or coated. Did he send them to you already finished?
It seems our discussions the other day, about all us collectors not caring about what our collections are worth, might have upset a certain 'Tydirium' UA-camr 😆
That Cloud City Torture Chair is super cool! I've never seen anything like it. I love it when custom makers make their own playsets that Kenner never did. So many great things from Cloud City that would have been so awesome to have had back in the day for our figures! The Death Star Throne Room is pretty amazing too when you put these pieces together! So cool that the Tantive IV hallway door opens up! Just amazing! This is certainly the best of the box. Man, this would look so cool on a lit up white shelf! I made my own playsets as a kid out of cardboard, packing material, paper etc. but I could only dream about 3D printed stuff like this back then. The Tantive IV corridor is where all the action started for us kids back in the 70's when it came to the characters. I'd love to have even one panel of this to pose my original C3PO and R2D2 in front of. Very glad that you showed us this and that you are giving a big shout out to the artists out there who make these custom figures and playsets.
Wow, all of those are RAD, love them. The Tantive should have been a playset from Kenner, maybe similar to the Cantina Playset. Some pegs would have been cool also. Thanks for the video GQ.
Love the 3D printed Emperor's Throne. The backdrop is epic. I might need to scope one up too & put some paint on it. The hallway looks fantastic too - and definitely has a retro look. It's too bad that it wasn't a perfect fit for the Detolf though, but that's just a minor complaint. It might not fit together perfectly, but you could just run the three panels across, and set the door against the wall. Again, it won't line up perfect, but you could utilize all the pieces that way. The torture chair is pretty cool, but it's a big hunk of plastic that's for damn sure. Not good news for Han! Lol The cutout on the emperor's chair looks like you could angle the emperor at a slight angle to have him fit in there rather than having his legs pointed straight out. Would love to see how that fitment is.
These are all fantastic pieces! The Tantive IV hallway is the crown jewel of my 3D printed collection so far. I wish Palps fit in the chair better but it still looks cool regardless.
I hav the Hasbro Solo torture chair and I’ve added it to my Cloud City play set ,the one u received looks awesome and I’m digging the Emperors Chair it would definitely look great in the vintage Death Star ,like always thanks for sharing
Could you do the full set up but then tape the door on the outside of your case? haha that might look funky. Awesome set up! Or you could file down one of the panels curved top to fit that door piece but I image you don't want to mess with that at all.
more power to those fans who devoted themselves in creating their own version of star wars toys based on or inspired vintage kenner star wars. truly they are awesome👍👍👍
You have a good eye! You must have seen my tour videos like the Playset Tour. I do. I like to have a Darth Vader figure for every scene or locale that he appears in throughout the trilogy. I stage my collection like we saw in the films.
Wonderful gifts 🎁 and well deserved! I think you can angle the Emperor’s legs down a bit in the throne? I guess with the TANTIVE play set you could go with two panels! Landspeeder Luke has a great channel for the Black Series! Back in 78 I was expecting the figures to be about that size/ or around Mego size and was surprised how small they were!

You do great work, Sir. Really appreciate you sharing your creativity!
Just added you on IG, your stuff is awesome man!
Can't wait. Yesterday I was sent two Stan Solo Fleet Troopers. So I'm very interested to see this diorama option.
Love the SS Fleet Troopers. I think you’ll really dig this set.

That does sound nice, man. Good job!
I would place that Emperor’s throne room right on top of the Kenner Death Star!
Not a bad place for it!
i wish more would produce their "kenner" playsets in plastics.
The more the merrier.
Wow! Just wow! Good stuff man, love it all.
Lots to love. I hear ya.

I don't begrudge anyone from collecting what they want. I just personally won't give Hasbro my money on principle.
Awesome stuff!
Thanks!

I'm torn because both display options look great! Cheers.
Man, all of those pieces are absolutely amazing! I'm jealous, brutha! 😄
I'm pretty flippin stoked right now, Dude!
@@GQJedi Yes, Sir, I can see why! You have every right to be stoked.

That sounds awesome! The 2 chairs are not painted, no. The Hallway seems finished though :)

Not sure which UA-camr you're referring to.
@@GQJedi Let's just say he also has a 'Hanger' 😏
Oh. Gotcha. I don't watch other UA-cam content creators so I have no real idea who or what his channel is. LOL. I just do my own thing.
@@GQJedi That's a good thing! Avoids dealing with other people's bullshit 😊
That's one way of looking at it!
How is looking like prince valient gq?
How is asking me a silly question relevant to the video?
modern star wars toys are sometimes hot garbage
I hear ya, pal. Won't get any arguments from me.
@@GQJedi sadly I recently acquired one of the last jedi toy with an electronic sound effects but it does not function properly😟
I believe the reason Han was tortured, was so Luke would sense his friends were "in pain" and come to save them, falling right in Vader's grasp.
That tracks.
@@GQJedi
Like a shark honing in on a fish's distress signal from miles away. :)
LOL
Just two with the door. If you get another door, along with more display space, then add a third panel. Nice retro 3-D printed mini-playset scenes! :)
2 Doors would make a complete hallway. That would be dope!

I agree. The hallway would have been a perfect Kenner Playset. Well said.

It's my pleasure sharing this stuff with the channel. Lot of goodies out there.
I have a Hasbro Rose Tico figure from the abominable Episode VIII just waiting to be deservedly placed in one of those torture chairs.
Hahaha!
The Hasbro Tantiv hall is flimsy. It has good details, but if Kenner had made it, it would have used stickers and be a fair bit smaller.
Hasblo doesn’t seem to make good products anymore from what I’ve been hearing from those that collect modern. I’m so stoked that I do not.
Ha glad you’re liking it. They look great in the curio. I’ll see what else I can find and print for you. Got a couple ideas already.
Are you kidding? I absolutely love them!! Oh man. I can't wait. Thanks again, Jay!!

I'm keeping it classy, no tape. Not something I'm truly stressing over. I've settled in with how it looks.
Nice pieces! Are you going to paint any? I bought the Hasbro hallway because it was on sale.
I don't currently own paint or have the patience to get into painting stuff. But never say never!

The full wall does look good. 👍
The flaw in the official set is the floors are not interchangable.
By official you mean the Hasbro set I take it?
Dude looks like Keanu Reeves brother.
LOL
Those are great. I like the set with the door .👍👍
Thanks! I agree.
Wow what a nice hookup
That’s what I said!
yep, cool stuff

Palpy will slide right off the chair if I angle him any more. Kenner changed the action figure game with their 3.75 SW line.
Pure retro love!!!
100%!
2 panels and door
I agree. I need that door in the display to complete the desired look.
Amazing !
I think so too!
I'm trying not to go down that Rabbit Hole, but the display possibilities are very cool!
I'm over the moon about this Tantive IV Hallway!!
Does it damage the foot holes on the figure when you use one of the clear circular figure stands with a foot peg?
All of these figures have foot holes made for the pegs, so no.
