Nice gold from the black sands of West Virginia enjoyed the video that’s mostly what I find here in Alabama good job. I’m running the combo dream mat in my Goldhog river sluice works great ⚒️🇺🇸⛏️🕳️
You were asking about the stones with holes you found.... I found a little info of what they might have been used for at the Susquehanna River Archaeological Center of Native Indian Studies website which says other similar such stones that have been found suggest they may have been used as a fire starter rock- meaning it held the stick that was spun back and forth in the dry leaves mixture (to cause friction and eventually fire) and/or possibly a nut cracking stone where the nut was placed in the 'scoop' and another stone was used to crack it with nut pulp being held in scoop afterwards...Pretty cool find eitherway James.
Was that the kanawha or Ohio river? Wish I knew about that as a kid when I lived in WV! Also, you mentioned a friend named Wanling, I went to Jr high in cross lanes and had a friend named Don Wanling , I haven't heard that last name in 35 years! Hope you find ALL that gold.
That was all the Kanawha River, 100%. Really blew my mind about finding flour gold out there.. I'll ask Wandling, see where he went to school.. I'll let you know next week! Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
@@adventuretimeprospecting is his first name Don? That would really be a coincidence! Heck, I can't remember the years, late 80s early 90s I guess when I was in Jr high, I'm 48 now, Koch is my last name. Thanks man
