- Deep Target - Big Hole - Multi Ounce Specimen.
In this video I'm in a new area. With a lot of Oldtimers Diggings and activity in the area, rubbish was abundant... but so was big Gold. In 2 days I managed to find about 9 ounces of Specimen Gold. This was one of the highlights, being a particularly deep target and giving a textbook signal for big deep Gold. One of the hardest digs I've ever had. Despite being in a creek, the ground was incredibly hard... super packed... almost like concrete in places... but the reward at the bottom of the hole was well worth the effort. Enjoy, Share and Subscribe. Regards Aussie

Good to see your back at it. You're a gun with a detector and a great teacher as well. You taught me a lot, and because of you, I enjoy every bit of it. Thanks, and congratulations on your find. Hopefully, will see more of you on this platform.
I appreciate a true find. So many of these you can clearly see the dirt was altered. You can’t fake how compact things are.
You can drill with an auger and drop nuggets down hole.
oops undisturbed. Have done it with newbies to give them an experience. Never told them. Not saying that he did that at all, but can be done. Some of the nuggets dug on shows have been done this way.

You are swinging that pick going ‘don’t damage the nugget, don’t damage the nugget…’
These days… I bring with me… a battery operated hammer drill with an 18”x 1” Carbide drill to punch down a few holes down around the target. Doing that will break up the hard pack into chunks!
Digging just one of those deep holes like that in hard pack or on a Reef with only a pick will wear you out for the whole day !
Great video… Thanks for taking the time to shoot, edit and upload the Video !
That’s a lot of work too!
Cheers mate!
Aussie Bloke you are BACK!!! Been watching my notification for you everyday and you put out this COOL Video with your PI 'S.... Man, what a DIG!! Looking forward to more of your adventures. This guy up on Alaska last summer had a saying, Tony, just shut up and Shovel.... It was an Awesome Gold Prospecting Adventure... Love your videos, keep em coming. Tony@TNT Mining&Prospecting....
3 bloody years for a new video, good job it was worth the wait!
As you dug down I'm thinking: please don't be a hot rock!
A most interesting specimen.
Glad Andy mentioned your channel.
4 years later bro shows up out of nowhere and starts a new gold rush!
Good to see you back, mate. You're one of the most informative channels out there.
You're back! This knowledge makes me most pleased.

Hurray, I knew you’d be back one day!!! Fantastic find. Beautiful.
I’d love to know what happened to all the ore that you had partially crushed, like 3 years ago. Any chance we could get an update? Thanks and welcome back!
Realy glad you're still at it mate, i havn't been out in over two years myself. Another pashion has taken over and taking me to Nationals in USA. WA is still on my bucket list, let me know when around, would love to catch up.

Awesome 👍⛏️😎
Good use of cancel mode mate ! Bloody shame that Minelab, in their " wisdom ", decided to get rid of it and many other legacy GPX features in the new 6K !
Nice. You would have to think there are more of those there. :)
Im so happy!!!!!
WOW" from 0c Idaho!
Welcome Back..
Hey John, hope you and kerrin are well still driving roadtrains out of Geraldton to Mt magnet and Leinster. Let us know if your around. Driving for qube, Andy.
I use a gold monster as my pinpointed when in the deep holes
Mate, I've dug about 5,000 holes. You'd save a lot of time with a post hole digger, and a crow bar when it's really firm ground. Saves bending over and great for your shoulders. I would have dug that out in about 15 minutes. Might have dinted it, but weighs the same.
You do know it’s illegal to use power driven equipment as a prospector?
@@Digger0023 Hole digger (clappers) and crow bar are not motored. I almost exclusively hand dug holes. I was a retaining wall specialist. I've dug holes up to 1.8 meters by hand at times, using crow bar and rotational scraper. Also used machinery often too.
@@colincolenso Apologies mate. When you said post hole digger I was thinking you meant an auger.
@@Digger0023 There are hand augers, but unless it's specially designed you would have no chance turning it in rock hard ground, maybe mixing up a long crowbar might help though!!
@@Digger0023 No worries buddy. Takes a bit of practice with the clappers, but super efficient, more so if water on hand for those kind of dry digs, but worth taking the time to get accustomed to them. Trick is throwing it, just loosening grip before impact to avoid jarring. Can go all day without injury.
Sounded like another signal still in the hole or was it hot ground, awesome find brother 👍🏽👍🏽
I see camp mate
Superr 👍👍
Good on ya mate, but why do you swing the wand over and over again , it's so bloody annoying to keep hearing the beeps. We know it's there so all you have to do is swing once then again at 90 degs to the first one and thats enough . thanks
Big bits good onya
How great it is to see you back and posting some content! I was only talking to a mate about how you are one of my favorite prospectors on YT. One of the best videos was "how to pan like an old timer" , I love the technique because it is better on my back than the 2 handed method! I reference you heaps on my "fledgling channel"
Thanks for posting such a great video, and what a couple of grouse chunks. Cant wait for the crush! Awesome, cheers Andy and Smudge poverty prospecting Australia 😊
Long time between videos.
Welcome back to the dark side.
Congrats buddy! What kind of detector were you using?
Guess whos back
👍👍💯
