Thank you, Amanda. I just made your Morgan doll and she is adorable. Your video was extemely helpful. I altered the dress slightly, putting 5 slip stitches under each arm, instead of 1 each, which made the dress close in the back. SO CUTE! MANY THANKS!
This has been a really great project for me during covid . I bought your pattern and will make the little doll too. Thank you for all your efforts making this pattern..
Thank you so much. I bought the pattern but have learnt a lot of little techniques from your videos. I just love the pattern of your doll. You are very clever.
I’ve been following this video and the printed instructions. But my head seems to get wider. I stopped increasing at 7sc, inc. I’ve started the regular rounds which instructions say 60sc but my 60 don’t land in the same place. Is that normal?
I am loving doing this doll. I have bought the pattern however I am struggling to understand the head from the 2nd row... So 3 sc in each stich... One increase on the 4th stich.. What to I do from there? Continue increasing or just sc?
My dress was too small for my doll. I used a 3.5mm for my doll so I think it is a little bigger than yours but I used the same hook for the dress so assumed it would be Ok. Can I just add to the starting chain of 19 so it can be a little wider or should I use a bigger hook?
I would actually try making it with a larger hook. Try the dress on after the armholes are created to see if it's going to fit... that way you won't end up wasting time on the skirt :)
Hey, This was an amazing tutorial! how would you keep the head more stable? I've finished the project and the head is quite wobbly. Is there anything i could do or is it too late? Thanks
every time I try to start on a head, it just ripples. I think I'm doing the technique right--go up one single stitch and double stitch until I reach the pin? even if I reach the set number before the pin it's rippling. It's just so many stitches and I end up confused and frustrated and starting over 😓
I know this is late but I’m new also. It took me some time but you need to crochet evenly. Crocheting evenly means you do the exact same row over and over again. You did 7 single crochets then a increase, and you going to do that again 11 times until you are at row 18. I hope this helps
This simply means to single crochet on the same number of stitches for those rows - you don't increase or decrease at all. Work even on the same number of stitches.
Hi Amanda, great doll and even greater tutorial, I like it. Can I ask, I am a doll for a character in my daughter's children's book and it is a boy, can I still do your pattern even if the subject is a boy? I have not really searched for a boy pattern. But is a difference? ❤your dolls.
You are so kind to give us these tutorials to make this lovely cute doll. I really appreciate it 😘

Thank you so much!! It makes me happy to see everyone's versions of Morgan and to know how much they enjoy the pattern. :)

Thank you so much, really loving your doll...take care stay safe...Kim
Thank you! :)
Do you have a video on making eyes for dolls to give toddlers
I haven't made any with embroidered eyes, but I've seen some good ones out there. Maybe I'll work on that one soon. :)
What size eyes did you use?
I made it and it turnd out exacly like youres love itt🥰

Hi, you won't ever work 3 sc in the same stitch. If it says 3 sc, then you just single crochet in 3 sts, then increase.
Thank you! I am making a witch for my twins for Halloween
Hi. Thanks for this! What eyes did you use? Or even what size eyes did you use? :)
I actually bought some inexpensive safety eyes from Amazon. I believe these are 5mm and just plain black safety eyes.
Ah lovely. I’ll have a look on Amazon now :)!
Can you send me the link
How many yarn you use for the body

Where are the instructions for head? Ty

Same here... Why is this happening? Have you figured it out?
I am new to crocheting .Having a hard time with head. What does even around mean for rows 7 to 18??
I know this is late but I’m new also. It took me some time but you need to crochet evenly. Crocheting evenly means you do the exact same row over and over again. You did 7 single crochets then a increase, and you going to do that again 11 times until you are at row 18. I hope this helps
It means 1 sc in each stitch around for 12 rounds.
H8 I’m new and I wanted to know if u can stuff the arms. I’m trying to make this for a little kid, so I want it to be plush and soft
Hi*
Did you put stuffing in the arms?
No, the arms are the only part I didn't put stuffing in.
My head on my doll isn't stable, it wobbles, is that ok?
That happens sometimes. You can put a wooden dowel inside if it's not going to be played with by a smaller child.
On the pdf pattern it just says 6 times which I don't understand what that means
When it gives instructions and says 6 times, this just means you repeat the instructions 6 times.
I separated my 4 ply into 2 so it's wavy :)
Please explain what even rows means??
This simply means to single crochet on the same number of stitches for those rows - you don't increase or decrease at all. Work even on the same number of stitches.

Yes I have tried doing boy with this pattern but just shortern the hair
Thank you, that is great help
One eye is higher than the other! 😂
Great !!! Thanks
Sooooo sloooowwwwwww
You can easily speed up the video in the settings... or, since this is for beginners, you more advanced crocheters can speed ahead.
