Anytime u will love them.Ask for Kris Lawrence or check out their website and use the discount code THIC for free shipping.
Love the videos!
Just throwing it out there, you can avoid all of the work of removing the two upper control arm bolts, by removing the front ball joint bolt on the upper control arm instead. Its recommended to replace that bolt if you do remove it, but it makes the install so much easier. I did it this way and it was one of the easiest installs I've ever done.
they can literally just remove the bolts from the top and bottom of the strut and spring assembly, unbolt the sway bar end link. then you can pull it out. you don't have to remove the whole control arm. just maneuver it out.
Μπράβο παιδιά, ωραίο το βίντεο και το αμάξι τέλειο.. Αν και ίσως οχι τόσο πρακτικό στην καθημερινότητα αλλά πανέμορφο.. ✌️🙂
Thank you my friend. I agree I don’t drive it everyday
"You dampen a rag." Fact! That's a lot of work, but it's worth it in the end. I can see why you bought the curb ramp, now. Wow!
It definitely was a lot of work. I don’t think these bolts were ever taken out and seized in there pretty good. Very happy with end results though.
Hey man. Just recently installed these on my F32 coupe. I have some squeaking noise coming from the rear driver side whenever going over small bumps and dips in the road. Any idea what that may be? Everything is tightened as well
Did you also purchase the swift springs along with the coilovers?
Just got my Neomax Coilovers in for my x1 😁🙌.
Ur going to love them
ThicGarage read and seen nothing but strong really really good reviews on them 👌🏾👌🏾. How are yours still holding?
Great work. Curious to see how much they settle and how they feel once settled
I’ll let you know if or when they do!
Hey there how's it going? Any thoughts on how coilovers feel so far? This was a great vid and I was looking through your page to see if there was an update but I didn't see any. Thanks and AWESOME ride! 👍🏾
Yeah,...was changing out rear shocks on e60 535xi,...one of the nuts slipped and disappeared,...I looked everywhere,...removed more trunk lining material,...never did find it!
I like those ramps!
Oh no!
How’s the Neomax coil over hold up? Harsh ride? Very good video 👍👍👍
Looks awesome! Just wondering what's it like on medium setting or soft? As I really don't want to lose to much comfort, also which sorting taste front and rear diff you use?
Thank you I have them all set to 12 and is perfect for me
Hi, I just got them and they sent me the wrong coilovers. Supposedly they set up everything exactly for the same car, but when I was about to install them the coilovers were totally different. What I mean by that is my coilovers they aren’t the same as yours even though we have the same bmw.
Video helped us alot! But how much lower did it go after they settled?
Hello,
I have loved your videos, great job .
After having the Silvers Neomax coilovers on your car for a few months now, how is the product holding up? How much roll if any do you have? What do you really like about the change they have made in the handling from the original (oem) from BMW? I have an 2013 bmw 535i sport package as well .
Thanks again for your great content, and for answering my questions
Hello and thank you for watching! I really like the coilovers. Great quality from Silver’s. Roll and overall firmness has dramatically improved and much more responsive. Highly recommend!
Is this model XDrive? I want to get coilovers as well but I'm hearing it'll disable the adaptive drive, which would be eco pro, sport, sport+ if I'm not mistaken.
Ours didn’t have adaptive drive. But yes it would mess with it if you have adaptive drive. They sell a module that your sensors would plug into so it doesn’t throw codes when you switch to coilovers but still lose the adaptive feature
What damper settings did you use for front and rear?
It’s been so long I can’t remember. I believe I had them set a few clicks down from max stiffness
How about the Electronic Damping Control (EDC). I thought every F10 comes with this? Do you get any errors when entering sport or sport+ mode?
I don’t have EDC on my year.
Did the 12mm and 15mm wheel spacers rubbed after installing your coilovers. Thx
No they didn’t
Hey quick question I have 2015 535I xdrive can i used these ?
Yes u can if u don’t have the adaptive suspension. Feel free to give them a call to verify.
Nice Vid! Do you know if this set up will work in f10 550i Xdrive? I was planning to the KW. Thx
Thank you. Pretty sure it’s the same set up. I would recommend you contact Silvers to confirm. Kris Lawrence is person to ask for.
@@ThicGarage thank you sir!
Would you ever make a how to on painting the rear calipers?
I may when it warms up some more so paint can set better. These cold days don’t make for painting weather.
MSportin5 I’ll be waiting!!
What final height coilover did you use, and how much wheel gap did it give you? You said 4" lowered your car too much. I'm getting ready to install these as am curious if 5" is enough.
They are the super low version. About half inch week gap. Only reason I thought it was too low was bc of my driveway apron is high
Shout out to the GREEKS!!!
How did you handle the EDC system and warning error codes
Didn’t have to. Didn’t have the adaptive suspension
is this the extreme low kit or the regular kit? also, how much lower can you go in the back?
The extreme low kit. I can lower it 2 more inches but then I won’t be able to get out of my driveway 😂
Hey great video. Do you happen to know the torque for the rear bottom bolt and/or the rear control arm you removed for access?
This is what I found on bimmerpost.com
Front springs:
Tie rod bolt at strut - 45 Nm (33 ft-lb)
Upper control arm to swivel bearing - 56 Nm (41 ft-lb)
Bottom strut (1 bolt) - 90 Nm (66 ft-lb)
Top strut (3 bolts) - 28 Nm (21 ft-lb)
Spring strut to support bearing - 34 Nm (25 ft-lb)
Rear springs:
Top strut (3 bolts) - 28 Nm (21 ft-lb)
Bottom strut (1 bolt) - 250 Nm (184 ft-lb)
Spring strut to support bearing - 27 Nm (20 ft-lb)
@@ThicGarage perfect! Thank you so much!
Are these swift springs with super low or just super low?
super low
Did you purchase the standard set which are 1”-3” or the super low set which are 2”-5”?
Super low
Springs won't mess up the suspension within time?
If anything it improved the suspension performance. Coilovers should also be changed every 4-5 years with regular daily driving. I would not recommend on adaptive suspensions.
How’s the ride with these coilovers ? Do you recommend them?
I do recommend these. Ride was great once you set damping to ride stiffness you want.
We should meet, I live in Pikesville, MD. Got a 2014 BMW 535i xdrive. This summer at horsepower and coffee
Oh yeah look forward to meeting you there!
Did you consider the KW2? or any other coil-overs? Why the Neomax?
The KW are too expensive! Neomax are fairly priced and great reviews. I’m loving them!
Sorry hella late but how’s the ride quality
I was pretty happy with the ride but think I want to with air suspension on the M5 instead of coilovers.
Hey where are you out of? MD?
Yep
Did you upgrade your springs or you went with your default ones? Is it better to go with the super low kit?
@Equizz Gezzy No I was told the default ones were fine for daily.
@Equizz Gezzy Im looking at Neomax and also the BC Racing ones.
Yoooo what's up guys. Looking into the same coilovers for my f10. NON M sport.
How would you say the ride compares to stock? Too stiff? I did just lowering springs currently and noticed it is stiffer but doesn't ride as good as stock. Whats your feedback on these coilovers?? Yay or nay?
I love the coilovers much more responsive and doesn’t roll. Coilovers allow you to adjust the damper settings for stiffness
Yay
Hey man, did you powder coat your calipers or painted it ? If so did you get it all apart out and then did it or did with it mounted to the car ??
👋 I taped everything up and painted them right on the car.
MSportin5 what paint did you use ? Yours looks good !!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Duplicolor Metalcast
How has the comfort of your ride been impacted by this setup?
In a positive way yes. More responsive with less roll and stiffer suspension.you can change the damper settings to make as firm or soft as you like
How long it take to complete install? Looks good.
Took me 8 hours just because how seized the bolts were. 🤬
Did you put any PB Blaster on the bolts? Great work regardless
I did but they were not coming out without a fight. Let the bolts and nuts soak before putting back in.
Is your car AWD xdrive?
Yes
So i’m planning to order these this week. just confused as which ones, i have a 2015 bmw 535xi m sport, are you able to tell me what exactly where your options when you ordered them. this is what they ask- $1,149.00

ThicGarage Thanks
Does the 5 series have edc? I don't see a harness on urs...
Mine does not.
@@ThicGarage lol u got lucky, 7's are a bitch when it comes to mods
Is your car a 535i xdrive?
Yes it is
is this a xdrive? I dont see any makers for xdrive:(
Silvers on their website have the Xdrive, just installed them yesterday
did the edc light come on?
I don’t have EDC on my model
@@ThicGarage I didn't see it on my car's manual either. to be sure , how would I know if I have it or not? the only thing I seen was dynamic drive
Do you have sport+ option? When you hit it if you see a more options button in the lower left corner and you can set your EDC setting then you have the EDC suspension.
Make sure to use code “THIC” for free shipping on your order!
i live in canada, but i found a dealer that gives free shipping, thanks bro.
Have many inch is low?

Look great 👍,I’m from NYC nices car
Thank you!
Alright boys and girls! at 1:50 you will have the light of wisdom shine over you from the heavens :-D lolol Yes! beer is a must have tool in any garage when used responsibly lol
Hey how does it ride compared to stock ??? come on do not leave us hanging !!!!!
No comparison to stock. No tilt around turns and I can set stiffness with damper settings.
So all you got is a lower car?
@@ThicGarage it’s better or worst?
Helpful and informative video.
On the front wheel, why not split the balljoint on the upper wishbone to the hub carrier, it's a single bolt and in theory the balljoint should separate easily.
I struggled too with the lower rear shock bolt! But you don't need to take the rearmost arm off it has an eccentric washer for the wheel alignment which would need adjusting afterwards. If you remove the anti roll bar link you can get the strut out from under the car.
forum.bmw5.co.uk/topic/137023-f10-535i-rear-spring-replacement-diy/
Thank you. I’m not understanding your question clearly. The front strut and wishbone is a single unit. There isn’t a bolt that connects the lower wishbone to the upper hub. I couldn’t get the rear out without disconnecting the control arm.
ThicGarage Hi, thanks for the reply. My question is, when removing the strut on the front wheel, the upper wishbone is connected to the top of the hub carrier/steering knuckle by means of a balljoint. There is a single pinch bolt with a Torx head that secures this balljoint. BMW say to split this joint rather than take the two inner bolts off in the wing/engine compartment. This allows access to get the front strut out. Just curious as to know why you didn't think of splitting that balljoint? Loads of others do it your way, which I suspect is easier than splitting the balljoint which is BMWs suggested method. Thanks
Ah now I understand. Yes I found it much easier to take the upper control arm bolts out. Then I could turn it so I could maneuver the strut out. I’m not a BMW tech and just tackled it as I saw it.
ThicGarage I got my front strut out without having to undo and remove the upper wishbone from the inner wing or swivel hub.
