    I love that sig is putting flat faced triggers on base models, I also love that the new sig guns like the 365 can have the grip module changed by only removing one snap pin. Sig is on the ball lately

    So many folks have and continue to have problems with their P322 that it makes it difficult for a perspective buyer to believe that the one that they would buy off the shelf would perform as well as the one that was provided to you to do the test and evaluation. Sig has had 2 years to work out the kinks and they haven't and keep blaming the problems folks are getting to them not loading the mags properly. Now it is critical to make sure you load the mags correctly yet even after watching their mag loading video, they're still getting misfeeds, light strikes, and barrels leading up after a relatively few number of rounds through them. Most folks wish they could buy a gun that would work as well as the ones that the manufacturer supplies to most of the "name" reviewers. I believe your reviews are accurate and true for the gun that you were provided, but I am less confident the the public will get the same results from buying a random one off the shelf.

Only shot one mag at my shop but work ends soon. I love it. I have a cheap ADE red dot at home that needs a home until i upgrade to a holosun.

  • @KewlKat
    @KewlKat Рік тому +4

    My initial experience with my P322 was, unfortunately, very poor. I had approximately 1 malfunction per 4 rounds. I know that sounds crazy, especially considering I used 4 different types of ammo. I had numerous light primer strikes, mis-feeds, stove piping. I shot about 200 rounds through the gun and contacted Sig. They shipped the gun in-house and performed repairs. They ended up replacing the barrel (this interested me), adjusting the hammer seat and installing a new/stronger main spring.
    These issues are not isolated, unfortunately. Many, many instances of these problems can be found on the Sig forums. For a very new gun, that's not a good sign. More of the story, be ready to send the gun to Sig for repairs when you first get it.
    The gun now shoots very reliably and is very fun. I shot a few hundred rounds the other day and had one light primer strike, that's it. Regarding accuracy, I was hitting a 100 yard target about 50% of the time so it's very accurate as well.
    Cheers,

    20 rounds in a 22lr handgun is crazy. I think I may pick up one of these. If it resembles the p365 it may be a good training tool since that's what I carry. Threaded barrel is always a plus as well. I find myself passing on any 22lr that isn't threaded from the factory.

    I picked this gun up in November 23 new from Cabela’s and just tested it after cleaning it new out of the box. Ran 250 rounds mixed between CCI LHP, CCI CRN, and Browning CHP. The CCI and Browning HP ammo had failure to feed about 2-3 out of every 10 rounds (disappointing). The Browning ammo was worse than the CCi. The CCI CRN ran better with 3 failures out of a 100. Used 6 different mags with similar results. Hopefully, I’ll get better performance after it breaks in more.

      "Viable" is not the word i would use. Anything that's manual of arns includes "do a mag dump into the face of the enemy and say a quick prayer" is a range toy or something for someone whose so insanely frail that it was basically this or accept their chances. I mean it beats fighting with a pointy stick, but I'd definitely suggest having a pointy stick on standby if you're carrying a .22 to defend yourself from anything other than a rabid squirrel because you're probably going to need to pike the enemy with it when they're quickly closing the distance looking like they've been shot in the face with a pellet gun.
      That being said, I guess I'm buying another Sig. Although the FN502 tactical looks pretty good too...decisions, decisions. What an awesome problem to have!!

      I'd go with "Velocitors" if possible, "Stingers" as a 2nd. Although I think Browning, Winchester & Aguilla all have options available that are similar to both CCI offerings. A 40gr hp around 1400 & a lighter 32gr hp around 1600. Won't get those velocities from a pistol length barrel but I'd imagine they'd still do pretty well.

    Well, I got one, and I'll say it's been a chore to get a full magazine out of this at times without some kind of malfunction. Lite Strikes, Feeding issues. One of my magazines looks like it eats itself. My P322 won't lock back on the last round, ever. Got about, 1,500 rounds through it and still having issues. Guess they really tuned up the one they sent you.
    I've been trouble shooting it and might see some issues that might be causing my problems, that one magazine, in which yes, I have most of the malfunctions on that one messed up magazine. I like the pistol and when it runs it runs. So far doesn't like Aguila, Stanger's, or Tippman Arms ammunition high and standard of both.
    Hoping that it will break in at some point and start running. I am wanting a suppressor for it as well, hopefully it will start working better. I am looking for different recoil spring kits for it.

    I have the sig p226 in 22lr… it’s an amazing hand gun. Only thing it won’t do is the slide doesn’t lock back after the last round. I called sig and they told me the sig p226 22lr is designed to dry fire so even though it’s a rim fire there are no issues with it. I try and use cci ammo and less stove piping occurs but even when it jams just rock the slide and it keeps on working. Nice video, nice gun.

    I'm definitely going to have to take a look into this pistol, I've been running a tourist TX22 for about 4 years now and I love the pistol aside from it not being able to cycle any subsonic ammo I've put through it

    • @vipervenom8215
      @vipervenom8215 2 роки тому +2

      Reason most semi automatic 22 pistols and rifles can't cycle subsonic ammunition is due to low powder load in the cartridge, they only put so much in them where it can only reach velocity up to 980 to 1000 fps (feet per second), thats about as much as a pellet rifle, the recommended powder load for semi automatic 22s is 40 grain and higher where it's velocity and fps are higher between 1100 to 1600 fps, i ran different powder loads and high and low velocity bullets in my sig sauer 1911 22lr, from what I've noticed rounds 1200 and higher tend to cycle more cleaner and smooth without stove piping or jamming

My dad's brand new tarus tx22 shot more ammo than mine did and had only one malfunction it was also $150 cheaper.
