  • The simplicity of life is illustrated in this short by summing up the Sunday service in the Greek-Catholic Church.
In the Posaga Community this religion is a minority, the majority being the Orthodox one. Their presence in Romania is overall a rarity and, to some, strange as the country is mainly Orthodox.
The Greek-Catholic celebrate their Christmas same time with the Orthodox (25th of December), they recognize the Pope as the supreme Church ruler and, above all, they put a serious accent on the family value.
My mother's parents are both Greek-Catholic. They have lived in the Community of Posaga for all their lives.

Then here in America, the Greek-Catholics are the minority to the Latin
Church, but it seems that the non-Cathedral parishes tend to out-parish
the Cathedrals in terms of what they do to remain vibrant, and gain
      Sunday attendance.

yeah unfortunately some liturgies don't match the beauty of the cathedral they are in.

Transylvania is a historical region which is located in central Romania.
Bound on the east and south by its natural borders, the Carpathian mountain range, historical Transylvania extended westward to the Apuseni Mountains.
The term sometimes encompasses not only Transylvania proper, but also parts of the historical regions of Crișana and Maramureș, and occasionally the Romanian part of Banat.
The region of Transylvania is known for the scenery of its Carpathian landscape and its rich history.
It also contains major cities such as Cluj-Napoca, Brașov, Sibiu, Târgu Mureș, and Bistrița.
The Western world commonly associates Transylvania with vampires, because of the influence of Bram Stoker's novel Dracula and its many film adaptations.

This is how the Church should be…in unity with the successor of S Peter and with heavenly worship.

Is this from the Romanian Greek Catholic particular church? The term "Greek Catholic" can mean several things. It can mean Byzantine Catholics of all stripes, it can mean a Greek person who is Catholic (Latin or Eastern) and it can specify the Greek Catholic Church in Greece. Just curious.

I'm confused. There is no Transylvanian Greek-Catholic Church. Transyvania is part of Romania. There is a Romanian Greek-Catholic Church most of whose members I imagine to be in Transylvania (which was once part of Hungary). It is also probable that other Greek-Catholic Churchs are represented there, such as the Ukrainian and Ruthanians. Eastern Europe is ethnically a very mixed up place .

The Romanian Greek Catholic Church was essentially Transylvanian. Indeed, this Church was born when the Romanian Orthodox Metropolia of Transylvania decided, in 1697, to recover communion with the Catholic Church. Even today, most Romanian Greek Catholics are found in Transylvania (even though a few of them can be found in Bucarest).
