@@altArchitecture sure, in Asian countries, staying with your parents and the way you described in video, that was always a norm. Until, the current generation was brain washed by Western culture that they can take loans and live in their own separate homes to have full freedom. That freedom came with a big price and restricted them in new ways.
It is an Asian culture way of returning favors to parents, as they took care of us in childhood we have to take care of old aged parents. And the grand parents played a big role in bringing up of the grand kids.
