Yeah, it reminded me of that two part Beast Wars finale. It was dark like that, but they actually went with full on Mature rating in gore and swearing. And it also reminded me of the Marvel Ultimatum Comic event. I mean, it was dark.
Easily my favourite character in the DCAMU was John Constantine voiced by Matt Ryan. Matt Ryan as John Constantine is one of the greatest castings for a comic book character of all time. Every time he speaks it's as if the character leaped from the pages.
What I like most about DCAUMU movies is that their home video editions include iconic episodes from DCAU, Teen Titans or Legion of Super-Heroes whose plot has some kind of similarities to the movie. Quite nostalgic
This universe honestly feels like it should’ve been what the DCEU should’ve been and I know it’s probably impossible but I feel they also could’ve connected this universe with the young justice series

I wish you counted the Canon comics like the tie in to hell to pay since we meet Xanadu there as well as the death of Superman part 1 comic for the super mollusk, and you could've counted the minotaur Ferdinand but I understand why you didn't, still an awesome video i enjoyed it very much
The two animated Teen Titans movies felt ABSOLUTELY cathartic after all the cr*p we went through with TTG. I really wish they would make more serious movies about the group.
They could've done so much more and I really hate the time skips. They are doing the same thing with the tomorrowverse and young justice. Time skips should be illegal

You can add movies into the watch order it’s pretty optional I recommend watching Wonder Woman (2009) Superman/Batman Public Enemies Superman/Batman Apocalypse Green Lantern First Flight Justice League Doom Particularly in that order pre Flashpoint but like I said it’s optional and you don’t have to watch those movies you can include other animated movies instead but those are the ones I chose for my list

John Stewart wasn't killed directly by Darkseid in Justice League Dark Apokolips War, he was killed directly by Batman.
