Ehh even w that one past the tl of JLU it gets funky and the only good aspect is Beyond, everything else including the bat family is pretty sad and dower including Bruce getting Barbara pregnant
it doesn't have to be that way. Good writing and thought-out plans can easily make a cinematic universe last possible decades. lots of mangas prove that(DBZ, One piece, Naruto). it just that a lot of dc cinematic universes don't have one or another or both.

altho the dcau is by far the best brought to screen so far, the origonal justice league and justice league unlimited animated series (wich is also connected to batman the animated series and batman beyond) will always hold a special place in my heart

I grew up on young justice and a bit of teen titans. But looking at what people praise about the DCAU of interactions and scenes, I can tell its something else. Compare to the ones i watched, that some are cancelled and leaving what we got is just unsatisfying. and other animated movie universe is hit or miss, especially the new movies. I haven't watch most of them but I know its not going to blow me away. DCAU still stands out as the best one from DC media.
Funnily enough, Young Justice and Teen Titans are good because they share common dna with the DCAU as a lot of the creatives for the DCAU brought in a lot of their talents for both series.

The Timmverse is not only peak DC entertainment but it is also the greatest piece of superhero media that will ever exist across the board
There has not been a televised/cinematic universe that has reached the same level of consistent high quality storytelling nor the immense respect for the source material it is based off of

DCAU?
While there were definitely some good/great DCEU projects (like THE Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, ZSJL, Shazam, Blue Beetle), I completely get it being at the bottom here. It felt so disconnected that it I could’ve been convinced that they take place in different continuities. So excited for James Gunn’s DCU, he’s consistently proven himself as a high quality comic book storyteller.

love how the only reason we got the arrowverse was because smallville wanted a batman but couldn't use him so they made green arrow their batman and they wanted a 2nd show with him and the actor said no so they just rebooted it to have batman green arrow show with Stephen amell

Honestly, DC Universe Online is a pretty good universe to consider. But it’s still unknown whether or not DC really acknowledges it with it being it’s own fictional Earth. Also because it has a good blend of every continuity. If not, most of it.
So for now, for me, it’s at least my top 3.
I hope DCU takes notes from the DCAU (90s/00s) as well as Young Justice universe. And then bits from the other animated universe (DCAMU?)
James Gunn said he was taking inspiration from the DCAU and Young Justice a few months ago.
When it comes to the best DC universe for me my favorites are young justice and the DCAU for both of those were my late childhood/preteen years and those two shows lowkey put me on to characters in dc I never even heard nor knew ecen existed before but hopefully with the new DCU/the gunnverse theres more of a connectivity wit its projects and that theres a purpose in being invested in it and its characters
Was not a fan of the DCAMU, at least some stuff, but how they adapted Superboy was realistically the closest we'll get to the comics version of Conner. The leather jacket, the goofy 90s attitude. It's so bizarre that, while the YJ version of Conner is cool and well thought out and fleshed out, he's just kinda.. not even the same character. He's basically just a brooding edgelord that eventually becomes less angry and mad at daddy.
I would switch the places with the CW and the TomorrowVerse, just cuz the CW actually had a consistent run of crossovers leading to Crisis.
Batman Hush in the DCAMU is the only real Batman movie in that universe, the rest are Damian Wayne movies, Batman vs Robin is close to being a Batman movie, but it's clear that they didn't care as much compared to Damian. Justice League vs Teen Titans is just another Damian movie with hints of Raven, even though Damian has had enough screentime. I honestly wished they made another Titans movie in the DCAMU for Jaime, because they really did him dirty. It could've been interesting to see the Reach, but they feel like long-term antagonists.
Young Justice is probably the best for overall characterisation. Wish there were films and more in the same universe.

I always liked how Young Justice would incorporate tie-in elements like comics, video games, and even an audio play into its canon. They reference or build on to each other in a nice way. Usually that tie-in media is a throw-away.
Yo what about smallville? The story telling and universe building in that show is amazing!

For me my favorite DC Universe rankings are this 1. The DCAU DC Animated Universe , 2. The DCTV Arrowverse , 3. The DC Universe Original Animated Films Universe , 4. The DC Animated Universe Tomorrowverse Films , 5. Young Justice , 6. The DCEU DC Extened Universe Films and 7. Injusrice Universe. For me The DCAU and The Arrowverse will always be my favorite DC Universes sure not all the shows in the Arrowverse did worked and the many flaws and issues creped up later on down the line the shows will always hold a special place in my heart along with Smallville DCTV and The Arrowverse re ignited my interest in DC Comics live action. The DCAU will always be special from Batman TAS to Justice League Unlimited where all ways Top Tier quality animation and the story and characters very compelling. Tbh I’m almost certain Wally was gonna come back in season 5 since they introduced sanctuary at the end of 4 especially them diving into mental health I think they just were trynna bait and bait us into thinking Wally wasn’t coming back and then smack us with it in season 5 when we least expect it vs him returning immediately a season or two later

I get the controversy with Young Justice’s last 2 seasons, but I actually didn’t mind them. They’re definitely differently paced, but by the end of each season it all came together for me. Season 4 especially surprised me, and each main member getting a 4-5 episode arc that eventually tied into the others was unique (Zatanna and Dr. Fate’s storyline was super cool)

@@__Soya__ I’m pretty sure it’s a stand alone series, but the artist for the show made a lot of things for dc, like the art in the dcamu and a lot stand-alone movies like under the red hood, crisis on two earths and many more.

Funny thing about young justice is that it had a video game that was canon to the show. I remember watching the show and it mentioned a part that was shown in the game. The game was alright. Could’ve been better. As for arrowverse, I agree that it went downhill later on and I wish they introduced Batman since I think there was a concept art of Batman in the Arrowverse but I’m not sure how accurate that is.

I'm biased, but the DCAU is my favorite DC universe. Growing up that universe defined most of the characters for me. I rewatch the shows a lot and I will always love them.
I love Young Justice.
I like most of the DCAMU as well.
I still prefer a lot of earlier seasons of the Arrowverse and agree with the decline in quality.
I've enjoyed the Tomorrowvese so far for the most part.
I sadly dislike more DCEU movies than I like.

My only problem with the DCAU is how Batman ended up a secluded bitter old man in Batman Beyond. I never watched Batman Beyond simply because I can’t stand seeing Bruce being portrayed in that way. I know that he isn’t predisposed to have a normal life but att least let him have Dick, Barbara and Tim by his side.
There’s a lot of comic universes I want to see get adapted faithfully, an animation like for example earth one
As fun as the games are, the Injustice series has the single worst version of the Trinity too IMO. Injustice's story has more continuity and character problems than YJ by a landslide if u look into it. For me, it'd go DCAU, YJ, DCAMU, Tomorrowverse, Injustice, then the DCEU. I can appreciate that the Tomorrowverse at least got Batman and Superman right, which is a far cry from anything I've seen with the Injustice series. The DCAMU and YJ are kinda tied for me, I like both but they both have their own problems(they both lack focus and consistant quality). Batman Hush, Justice League Throne of Atlantis and even Batman Bad Blood were worthless entries that would have been better served for a Flash and Green Lantern film. So I put Young Justice higher than the DCAMU for having more variety in who it gives the spotlight to, the universe feels a lot bigger than any universe where Batman has way too much screen time.

I think specifically seasons 1-3 of Young Justice are the best overall representation of the universe and the justice league. Especially the interconnectedness of all of the characters and their relationships. However, the quality of the show isn't as good as some of the others. I was able to get over a lot of the season 3 stuff with halo brione and forager because the overarching storyline it followed felt good enough for me but I can absolutely agree that there was a major wasted opportunity there.

I'm not a big fan of DC New 52 universe, but there are projects in it that I really like, for example, the Death of Superman, the Reign of Supermen, as well as the Apocalypse War. And I'll say this, of all the Batman movies, I liked Batman's Son, as well as Batman Hush. Yes, yes, I'm one of those people who liked the personality twist, as well as Bruce and Selina's relationship, which is the focus of the whole movie here. But I didn't really like the Titans movies. Now about the universe of the Young Justice League. I ABSOLUTELY disagree that seasons 3 and 4 were worse than season 2. It may be worse than the first, but not the second. I don't understand the claim, what's the problem with focusing on new characters like Halo, Forager and Brion? Brion is generally one of the best characters for the entire season 3, and no one removes the old characters from us, they just already appear as teachers in season 3. And in season 4, in general, each character of the original composition of the Young League has its own arch of 4 or 5 episodes. So I don't understand the claims at all. And about Wally's death. Maybe the way to remove this character from the story was a little strange, but that's what effect it had on the team, that was powerful)) I immediately remember episode 25 of season 3, where tears come by themselves.

Young justice is my number 1 my favorite seasons was 3 and 4 and me and so many love young justice because they focus on more characters people don’t know about so that people can know these characters and how powerful they are, because I mean how can you be a fan and not give these characters a chance lol.
