- Grafting the relentless repetitions of modern minimalism onto the propulsive engine of rock and roll, Baltimore's Horse Lords create an ecstatic forward thrust driven by dueling polyrhythms that curve endlessly past one another. Horse Lords will perform selections from their 2016 album Interventions as well as work from earlier releases.
Presented as part of the Kennedy Center's DIRECT CURRENT inaugural season.

it's great. thank you. I was so last time from Glen Branca, no-wave blissed out. this is a revelation for me. Sorry for my English)))
Hypnotic. Technical. Entrancing. Amazing.
One of my favourite bands
This first song reminds me of Frank Zappa and the mothers. I was at this show, y’all blew everyone away. I knew what to expect, but most didn’t. Y’all are legends!
They're from Baltimore too…
Holy shit, these guys are just incredible!
this is Meshuggah for people who listen to NPR
A-mazing!
Thanks for sharing with me Sal. 👍🙂
Wow, that crowd of boomers just sittin there.
Halo bang, surprised to see you in a Horse Lords video. Salah satu band favorit saya nih.
Lets get these guys to ArcTanGent!
I need more guitar in the mix, and more cowbell
really into what happens at 33:40
and 34.16... and 34.40... and 35.03 just doesnt go on long enough, if you know what I mean?
Reed streams
Right? The point where the song starts escalating into something dangerous
The saxophonist is a better drummer than the drummer.
Thought this was just a joke about how good his timing was until I got to the second song
Busier doesn't mean better. Their full time drummer is cool as ice, keeping the backbeat like a metronome while all of this chaos and polyrhythm whirrs all around him. I'd argue that's much harder to do with a spare rhythm than a busy one.
@@natekuszaj5017 totally agree
though i must say they are all cool as ice with polyrythmic chaos circling :)
When 35:43 hits
is this , a joke?
What does the "this" refer to?
No, it just turns out you have a limited capability of understanding music.
what do you mean?
The drummer has resting "trying not to laugh" face
It's like Philip Glass made rock!
bella formazione di giovani che sa uscire dagli stili rock-jazz!!
Way 2 go !!
Fill up that grid!!
Great band.
These guys are crazy good.
WooooooW!
Holy Moly!
Hva har dere "på øret"?
- first courageous attempt of a light Stetson cover found so far;
go on
Ned Rothenberg did everything Colin Stetson did backwards and in heels
How did they keep anyone from running out? Did they held the crowd hostage?
