Haha, I'm 39 and love that color on the e30... :) Lots of family in OH; enjoy the next few months, haha.

With the new tire setup it should be great. Just cold. Horribly horribly cold

For snow you need to ditch those wheels and go for at least 255 70 16s or 285 65 16s and go for a proper snow tyre seeing as that’s what you want it for. You need the talker tyres on 16” rims so that you can air down. These two tyre sizes will keep you speedometer accurate rather than if you go bigger.
Ideally you want a mild lift to avoid bellying out in snow say 2-3” don’t go much more than that or you’ll use the good on road manners it currently has. I would also add at least one axle diff lock. I assume this has the centre diff lock?
That’s about all you need really unless you’re going in for serious off roading, but then you lose some comfort and handling plus poorer fuel economy. So keep it mild and you’ll love it, go too far and you’ll regret it if you want a daily driver.
I have a 2004 7 seater TD5 and do a 160 mile round trip twice a week so have kept mine only just above standard and it drives beautifully on the motorway and is pretty good for mild off roading and excellent in snow. It is the perfect all round car for loading up with kids and going camping or comfortably devouring miles on the motorway (freeway to you)
I love it! Hope you enjoys yours as much as I do mine.😊

Thanks! Yeah we only get about 1” of snow a year it seems haha. So no worries there.

Yeah, nothing screams reliability like a British car with over 100,000 miles on it. Every other week, when you are at work, you can have your wife tow it to the mechanic for repairs.
Just kidding, I am being mean for the UA-cam algorithm.

@@thegrumpiestpenguin That'd be great! As a prospective buyer of a 97 Discovery 1 I too wonder how well of a daily it can be. Work commutes, road trips, etc. Everyone seems to use theirs specifically for off roading and nothing else.
