    Greetings from 🇺🇸. Just been researching for a new utv and from your review and several others who regularly beat on their machines in the real world, I just took delivery of my new Viking today 😁
    Looks like it’s going to be a great edition to the farm.

      Thanks Ange. We are continually adding and fine tuning things, but the Viking is a fantastic platform. We are ordering another one soon, and will do a full install and setup video for that, so stay tuned. We appreciate you

    Hi. I just subbed. I have recently put a deposit on a new Viking VI. Guess it will be a 5 seater. I purchased a set of mounts earlier and was thinking along the same lines for the rifles. The 5/6 seater will be good for the grandkids as well.

    Love the setup, one thing that really seems left out. A good comfortable shooting rest is aways an issue with ATV's. Ive just installed the Smartrest on my Grizzly quad after seeing it in action on my buddies Rhino. Its been a long drawn out experience for me finding a secure rest that also holds the gun securely. I think the Smartrest is a must have for every ATV, quad. They are that good.

    • @southernstarreview
      @southernstarreview  Місяць тому

      Thanks, mate. We have tried many rests, including the smart rest, but all have failed.
      This is 100% the reason we went for the fold up windscreen from @aussiepowersports.com.au
      The wind deflector on the bottom is fixed, and for our Yamaha, Viking is the perfect height.
      The smart rest has its place, but it is definitely not where we shoot.
      Too dusty, too corrogated, and may I mention the driver? " total nut case". 🤫🤫
      Cheers Steveo

      Windscreen is from Aussie Power sports. They are awesome to deal with

    Nice setup. How is the noise level of this engine? Does it get annoying? My only suggestion is cut off those bolts that are hanging down through the roll cage so they don't cause a head injury in a collision or roll over.

    • @southernstarreview
      @southernstarreview  3 роки тому +1

      Noise isn't bad at all, and doesn't get annoying at all. The bolts are gone, this was our first trip to test the setup. It works extremely well.
      Thanks heaps for your comment Joe

    Great video, I always like to see how hunters set up their UTV's. Can I ask for more information on your windshield latch? I have been looking for one just like it.

      Hi mate. Thank you for your comments.
      We sourced the windshield from Aussie Powersports. They are based in Charters Towers, Queensland. I have pasted the link here for you as well.

    Nice setup lads,spot on. What size trailer do you use to cart the viking around? Would it fit in a 10x5 box trailer at all ?

    • @southernstarreview
      @southernstarreview  2 роки тому

      Hi gary, i use a 10x6 tandem box trailer for the viking, i dont reckon it would fit a 10x5 especially with the bar work we have.

    Hi, nice video. What battery isolator did you use for 2nd battery and where did you mount it?

    • @southernstarreview
      @southernstarreview  2 роки тому

      Thanks Nat. Its a Redarc. Which i believe is in the main battery area. I will get Shain to reply for you. As he did it

    • @southernstarreview
      @southernstarreview  2 роки тому +1

      Hi nat. Thanks mate i used a redarc Sbi12 battery isolator which i mounted on a steel plate bolted to the top of the radiator mount. Theres a couple of existing holes you can use. The redarc works awesome 😎

      @@southernstarreview Thanks Shain, I’m definitely going to put the dual batteries in, can’t go past having a fridge to keep the refreshment cold.

    Where did you get your gun rack ?

    • @southernstarreview
      @southernstarreview  2 роки тому +1

      Hi Dave. It is a dual rifle holder dedigned for quad bikes. Your local gun shop should have them. We only used one end.
