When I think of white Swans, I can't help thinking of that short video where poor Lawrie keeps getting hissed at and bitten by the extremely ungrateful swan in the back seat. *hiiisssss* "Ow. Ow. That *really* hurt!. Ow." Thank you, for that memory, Lawrie.
Yeah, animals can often tell from a human's speech and mannerisms that that human has kind intentions, and Simon clearly has calming and professional mannerisms.

You can tell this man cares so much about animals just by his determination and the way he acts towards everything unfortunately he has passed away now rest in peace Simon
@@wildlifeaid That is amazing that he took such care and was so careful with an animal he's not used to working on. Just great to see that there are still some who will give of themselves for the betterment of the world.

What a rescue and what an ending! My heart is melting when I see someone who takes care of these beautiful birds like that. Real happy ending story like in poems :)
That was so wonderful to watch, the swan lake ballet at the end. Thank you Simon for your huge big generous heart! Know that you matter to me a great deal. Greetings from Silicon Valley, California.

And the love story while releasing her !!! Its real love at first sight is real yeahhh !!! Love and kiss from the Netherlands
Years ago I found a large cygnet, very subdued by the side of a canal. The cygnet had a huge lump on one of her leg joints. After ringing around we took her to a swam rescue charity. Their vet found that the lump was caused by an air gun pellet. I can't imagine what sort of a person would do such a thing but I hope they're out numbered by the rescuers. Well done Simon, Guy and the team ❤️
Ahhhh. Used to work in a vet clinic. The struggle of trying to pull an area together when you're lacking skin or working with tough skin is real. Kudos to the vet for being able to do it without looking too frustrated! Lord that dance at the end.... I never got to work with swans, since we were small animal, although I raised a few birds. Sitting in the back of a car with a sleepy swan would be like a dream lol. I'm glad she came out of the anesthesia fine, had good non-cancerous results, and got her own lil happily ever after! The absolute best scenario!
You are a wonderful man to care for the animal kingdom the way you do. And, don't think they don't know. There is a video on YT where a man spent years saving elephants from poachers for their ivory tusks. When that man died, the elephants led by their matriarch, walked two days to that man's home, and stayed for 48 hours showing their respect and then turned around and walked home. I was surprised when I saw on YT animals in the wild saving other animals of a different species. I know that people have been saved by animals, even in the wild. Sometimes I think we maybe helping angels unaware and vice versa. You are a blessed person.
No wonder YT kept pushing this video to the top of my queue dispite my searches being more on swans assaulting people and chasing them. ;-) One of the best Wildlife Aid videos of Simon's that i've seen yet. Great job rehabbing and then marrying off this swan!
I can't believe how cool that bird was about being in THAT situation! It's a wild animal for crying out loud! Wonder if it can tell that they're trying to help her? Hope everything goes great with her recovery and rehabilitation! Warmest greetings from Greensboro NC USA!!
What a great saga ..From rescue and a severe problem on a foot the feathered beauty gets a successful OP , and meets the partner of her dreams .He likes what he sees and so ok for him her slight limp adds to her charm and brings out his protective side ..Hope we get follow ups on these newly engaged :)👍❤️

Simon's new side hustle: Dating agency for swans :D
All part of the service lol.
Spot on 😂
Awwww! Even her feathers look healthier too! Her neck looked really skinny when you first rescued her! Thank you for saving her!
I never knew Wildlife Aid also offered a dating service! Truly an all-purpose, full service agency!

Right, it reminded me of Louis from the Trumpet of the Swan.

Awww Simon sitting with the swan in the back seat was so cute 🥺
He has more stamina then most
Or the trunk!
"Like she's got high heel shoes on" 🤣 that's an amazing comparison.

The swan healed faster with Simon's soothing words of encouragement, I'm sure.
