the direction of each and every scene is just so fkn amazing. Like, they are so great at conveying the emotions of every character with angles, camera shake, colors and the scores
I feel kinda stupid at how I needed to rewatch this show 2 or 3 times just to get all the small clues and nuances in it. That and Haylo and Kiss are just that perceptive and smart. Not a bad thing tho I'm very impressed and genuinely happy to come across their channel.

Its crazy how good AOT is... I consider the first three seasons as a sort of a prequel before the story really starts in season 4! Which is crazy considering there are only 4 seasons!!
Prequel is the name for something that was made after another part, but plays before it in the timeline. So, no, its not a prequel, its just the first half before a midway turn.

But the main point: A story does not start with its main twist. Thats not how dramatic structures work. "The real story begins here"/"End of Prologue"/"Congratulations, you finished the tutorial" are all fun memes and its a cool thing to say, but no, the real story started way before. The correct prologue of AoT is the scene in the beginning where we see some scouts fight some titans in a forest, without context. The moment Eren, Armin und Mikasa are introduced the main story already started with the first attack of Armored and Colossal Titan being the inciting incident, the event that gets the story rolling.

Idk if it was mentioned before. The name of the title in original language translates as "Attack Titan". The name of the titan type. But at least in two languages including English the name is mistranslated, as you can see. That's what i found when i went to check, at least.
