Hello beautiful it's nice meeting you here, how are you doing, I hope you're doing well beautiful and I would like to know you more if you don't mind my beautiful?
Perfect song to describe being young, alive and the moment of meeting that one stunningly gorgeous girl that turns your head and heart in one fell swoop. That sweet moment of breathless anticipation of what you had found and the lightning in your heart that made the whole world stand still as you looked into her eyes and there was only the two of you lost in each other. I think we fellas have all shared that moment in life. Anyone else remember? I sure do.
The 1980's were a great time to be alive and old enough to hit the bar scene. Pretty much every real rock band had to start looking like they just came from shooting of an episode of Miami Vice, but the rock and roll was, and still is, good for the soul. Rock on my friends.

lyrics
"Like No Other Night"
I was feelin' like
A prisoner inside myself
I saw you
Lookin' like you might be
In a mood to try
Anything that was new
Don't be starved for
The love and laughter
Break through, touch a stranger
You only get one life
This night could be
Like no other night
With you and me
Find the fire in our hearts
And dance in the light, yeah
We'll take our chances
How can we lose
We're making our own rules
This night can be
Like no other night
There's a child I can see
In the back of your eyes
Dyin' to be set free
Let the hunger inside you
Bring it alive
Now baby, this night
Won't last forever
Break loose
Girl, remember
You only get one life
This night can be
Like no other night
With you and me
Find the fire in our hearts
And dance in the light, yeah
We'll take our chances
How can we lose
We're makin' our own rules
This night will be
Like no other night, yeah, yeah
Time you don't use
You lose it
You grab every moment you can
Or it's gone
When you can feel, you really
Know that you're alive
Show that you're alive
For one night and
This night can be
Like no other night
With you and me
Find the fire in our hearts
And dance in the light, oh yeah
We'll take our chances
How can we lose
We're makin' our own rules
This night will be like

This band takes me back to the 80's more than any other band for some reason! One of my favorites!
People that feel .38 Special is the best ever have been smoking something I've been trying to find for 60 years . I always turn it up when .38 special plays when I'm in my car, always.
I seen them at the southern roundup in Philly, I think 1981.......38 special, Molly Hatchet, Allman Bros,The Outlaws and headlined by Marshal Tucker....10 hour concert, 97,000 people......what a party....
+michael grabas ...I was there Brother!.... Excellent and memorable... what a party!
Such an underrated band. These guys were amazing. Don Barnes can really lay it down!
Love this band.
Love this song! Their best tune!
@@FastPonyGT Sure is.

it still jams to this day
Jeff, volume all the way up!
Rock on my friends.
one of my favorite bands big fan of 38 special..
This band always seems like they are having fun on stage. Pure southern rock.

Great songwriting, lyrics and musicians. Not underrated. I was raised in the 70s-80s era. They were huge guys.
This is Country! No western Tx in it! Southern Country!
Hello Gayle.. how are things going with you?
I can't decide who is the best band ever...38 Special or Lynyrd Skynyrd.
I was feelin' like
A prisoner inside myself
I saw you
Lookin' like you might be
In a mood to try
Anything that was new
Don't be starved for
The love and laughter
Break through, touch a stranger
You only get one life
This night could be
Like no other night
With you and me
Find the fire in our hearts
And dance in the light, yeah
We'll take our chances
How can we lose
We're making our own rules
This night can be
Like no other night
There's a child I can see
In the back of your eyes
Dyin' to be set free
Let the hunger inside you
Bring it alive
Now baby, this night
Won't last forever
Break loose
Girl, remember
You only get one life
This night can be
Like no other night
With you and me
Find the fire in our hearts
And dance in the light, yeah
We'll take our chances
How can we lose
We're makin' our own rules
This night will be
Like no other night, yeah, yeah
Time you don't use
You lose it
You grab every moment you can
Or it's gone
When you can feel, you really
Know that you're alive
Show that you're alive
For one night and
This night can be
Like no other night
With you and me
Find the fire in our hearts
And dance in the light, oh yeah
We'll take our chances
How can we lose
We're makin' our own rules
This night will be like
Be like no other night
Thanks for the lyrics
thanks for the words....it's a Great Song...
B Jizzle That's what I'm talking about. The best line with all the lyrics by 38 Special.
It took the Southern Boys a Good six years to arrive in the 80's. Looks like the record company ordered mullets, and Miami Vice jackets for all . Great pop tune.
Lol Good one and so true!
The last real quality rock band of an era. Started with the Beatles and ended with 38 Special. 66 and loved the journey.
RIP Larry Junstrom. This is my favorite 38 special song. You will be missed.
@OneManArmy Love his bass in this song
I saw them in concert on July 5th, 1986 in Lake Placid, NY with my best friend and two of his friends. They were stationed at Plattsburgh, AFB, and I was stationed at Dover AFB, DE. That was a great concert.
Mansfield MA Sep 1986 was our date with history!
I wish I had known they were there then..I'm only an hour away!
@@debboyea9567 And they all but drove Bon Jovi out of business that day
Catchy songs, 2 drummers, and solid hits. Wow!
I sure didn't know .38 Special had 2 drummers in the past.
@@norfolksouthernrailfan2006 1986
And tight ensemble guitar playing
I'm so glad these guys are touring again! I can't wait to see them in concert this year !!!!!
wow - I 've forgotten how many great tunes 38 special has. Listen to those chord choices for the bridge and chorus. thats what makes these songs great
38 SPECIAL KICKS ASS STILL AFTER SO MANY YEARS
