Margit doesn't have a weak spot, you're weapon has a bleed effect. Once enemies build up enough bleed status from quick consecutive hits it does a big chunk of damage.
5:15 I unknowingly plunged into the deep holding 5,000 runes with this boss and I spent way more time than I wanted to dying to this b**** over and over cause I didn’t want to lose my runes and the only way out with them was victory.
I did knowing thanks to spoilers, but was not ready for how hard that fight was. I was playing prisoner, so the estoc was not ideal in that fight. I then tried a short sword I got from killing the guards at the gate, better results but still no dice. THEN I remembered I had the zweihander. Two handing that PLUS jump attacks made it so much easier. Enemy has no poise, and if you time jump attacks on him constantly with the occasional quick swipe, staggering him becomes common and makes it easy. Only took me 2 hrs to figure it out because I was too stubborn to try different weapons

@@farianandadiratama That's the thing. Some people play games like this and feel like they've accomplished something by beating a difficult boss. The gameplay is so terrible that I don't want to actually play the game but the visuals and lore are interesting enough to watch someone else play it. i know he said no judgement but man it’s tough lol I’m not even fighting Margaret yet I’m just exploring the world and leveling up, getting my weapons up and everything’s getting my flasks up, doing everything and anything I can to be strong before I even move forward with the story It’s open world for a reason, explore, level up, practice, it doesn’t need to be hard, it’s obviously gonna be hard if you just go straight from the beginning to Margaret
i agree, there shouldnt be any pressure to grind through the main story right off the bat. some people like exploring more first and others like fighting bosses first. im doing a mixture of both; i killed margit, but im still exploring limgrave and caelid at my own pace. this game is amazing and it makes me happy that everyone else loves it too
This^...gotta explore and build up your shit. I tried Margit early in game a few times and got rekt, but after upgrading my flasks, weapons, and stats, I took that mofo down...it wasnt super easy, but got it on the 3rd time after I was all leveled up and shit.
This gonna be Afro’s next big Sekiro-like (failure to triumph) mega era game!! So hype to keep watching episodes!!! And watching him slowly improve like he did in Sekiro
You got my respect for trying to kill the first boss that early. I was exploring all over the place and when I finally killed him on my 2nd attemp, I was level 50 I think lol. I didn't kill the first sentinel till I was 60 but thats just because I forgot about him
The scythe wielding npc “invader” was actually easy if you keep distance, use unsheathe with right trigger, then instantly roll away to keep distance and repeat. Using katana for me has been about keeping distance, getting a fast slash or two in, then rolling away. Has worked against countless mini bosses around the entire map, dragons, and two main bosses.
You haven't leveled up and you missed the tutorial cave so you're not using all the attacks you can use. Go back to the cave you was in to find out the controls. The Uchigatana also has bleed so be aggressive when you can to apply bleed damage
Everyone needs to remember it’s open world, you NEED to go explore. Explored before i fought anyone and my minimum deaths was like 6 times per fight. And I’m pretty far ahead rn never played any of the souls. The stronger you are the easier the fights
There are some very useful incantations that only really require 15 faith, like one that heals 5hp a second for 2 minutes, only costing 10fp. Very useful when roaming for sustain
The problem is you're trying to fight like its Dark Souls, by only using lights. You need to utilise heavy attacks and the jumping attack for the stun.
It’s not necessary to use jump in bosses haven’t encountered a boss where their attacks required a jump lol plus he’s using a dex weapon I doubt heavy attacks is even necessary for a dex weapon that does bleed build up damage he can just spam light and get that bleed build
@@KalvinKoolAidKool you're not "required" to do anything. But fromsoft have better balanced the combat in elden ring, so heavy attacks are worth using now.
I used wolf spirits for Margit, and tried to bait out his jump attack and running sweep attack for a big punish. Also you cant really dodge(in my experience) some of his attacks when you're close to him, so I think its a good strategy to keep your shield up at all times. I didn't use the shield and I died like 30 times, but I mainly kept a distance and made him whiff his attacks. Its an open world game, so try and get you're weapon's armament up before fighting him again. You can plus 5 you're katana by just exploring the map.
Now, I'm still in the process of fighting him because I'm G I G A B A D, but one thing that has worked for me is dodge rolling forward, unless he he does the hammer swing, and keeping him on the incline in front of the entrance. Those low attacks can miss there, since it puts your character below his weapon. Another thing he did, that I noticed with that method of pressuring him, is that he leaves himself open when you roll forward to get his side. You can get 3 attacks in with a short sword/ scimitar, and then dodge roll back to avoid the tail swipe. Pressure him too hard and he'll actually try to create distance himself with one light dagger swing, and jump-back throw. I've managed to get him to half life that way, taking maybe only one hit from the light dagger. What's keeping that strategy from working for me past 50% of his health, however, is the dodge delay and action queue. Have to get used to that or find a workaround. If he gets one lucky hit with his staff before a dodge gets off, it usually-immediately-forces me into a roll afterward (without my input), due to the queue, then I get hit again, and it rolls again. Then I end up dead lol.
This was entertaining af!!! Thank you so much!!! I tried staying away from Elden Ring videos..... but I was stuck just like you. You gave me confidence to go for the Horse boss dude. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 Here goes nothing.....
This is my first souls game ever. In my opinion- this is definitely the most accessible in the series given by the fact it is open world and has a significant number of customization options and mechanics to make the game a bit easier such as group kills restoring flasks, as well as some pretty powerful weapons + incantations. The biggest mistake i see people doing is challenging bosses or people in the area without leveling up. Fighting a boss with a +1 weapon is a recipe for disaster and frustration. If you arent doing 300-400 damage on the enemy in the area - you are basically under leveled
@@Cres99 the degree of the game being easier is relative. Just because it’s not easier to you doesn’t negate his point. Literally his own experience of the game.
@@kpj2224 Okay? And ER being harder than DS3 is Cres' experience of the game. His point is just as valid as Bobby's. You just picking a hill to die on since you didn't want to delete your comment after he corrected you lol.
One thing I've kind of harped about in the Souls series is that you need skill OR patience. So for anyone new to these games I'll explain the latter part. In most Fromsoft games you need patience to watch the enemies attacks and figure out where the openings are and when to (sigh) roll away. However, you can make the entire game easier by using the "Make Love not Warcraft" method of "grinding boars" if you want to. Every time you rest at a bonfire/site of grace/whatever it respawns all enemies so you can kill everything in the area and wash/rinse/repeat as long as you want for unlimited experience. Then when you're sufficiently leveled up you can tackle the next area. It's a boring way to play the game but it can make the experience easier.
I like that every boss is different too they all have a learning curve for there patterns and timings so even being leveled it takes me a few tries to understand the boss
@@2yoyoyo1Unplugged go to the church in the first area during night-time (where the first vendor you meet is), there is a witch there that you can talk to that gives you the vell you need to use your summons… Also you can’t summon everywhere, you will see a gate symbol on bottom left side of your screen when you can

Try using spirits to help with the boss battle, it'll make it a lot easier cuz the boss is gonna fight your spirits. You can buy spirits and a bell to use them from the old lady at the round table. Hope this helps
There’s literally a spirit summon sign to the right of the fog gate for margit right before entering, it summons a mage to help with the fight. And the mages damage is pretty substantial.
Godricks movement is easier to recognize. Margs movements go from super fast to super slow to super fast. its incredibly frustrating. I think they're about the same difficulty but margit is a frustrating fucking boss cause he's actually the "first" required boss
@@richshrimp7680 I destroyed margit with a fuckin mage second try. Literally without leveling before. Goldrick beat the hsit out of me. And how is goldrick not faster ??? lmfao. @Barbarrox 1. Take a second to look over your response you have a lot of errors 2. He explained it quite well and I agree as well, Margit's attacks aren't as telegraphed. It's not that Godrick is slow, but Margit mixes the speed of his attacks in a way many find more difficult to recognize. Same with grafted scion imo one swing is actually like 4 attacks it seems
You really need to get used to using the new mechanics in Elden Ring i.e. the guard counter and the jumping attacks and then the charged power attacks when they give you a punishable attack they deal big posture damage and let you stagger enemies, even bosses so you can follow up with a critical
As a first time souls player I have to say that I love this game, the game is hard but not unfair and there’s multiple ways to beat a boss you don’t just have to brute force. I also love the feeling I get when I come back to a boss after exploring the world. Makes me truly feel like my character got stronger and it immerses me in the game. This games good bruh
Tip for the boss there’s a yellow thing in the ground before you go in that if you click on summons this dude to help you and he’s really strong and will make the fight much easier also at the church of Elleh near the beginning there’s this lady you can talk to and she will give you an item that lets you spawn in wolves that fight for you and that will help you a lot to beat the boss also there’s some weapon upgrades you should get before fighting him like the uchi katana thing I forget the name but it’s in a cave somewhere in limgrave
Margot is definitely challenging going on one one lol I used that Virtual NPC that’s available plus the wolfs and I was able to take him down after about 6 tries. But 1 on 1 I had no chance
Just find you, thanks to an Elden Ring search and I started binging the playlist. You're hella entertaining and hilarious, man! You got an instant sub!! Also, I can not stop chuckling at the fact, that you've yet to use the strongest move in the Samurais arsenal yet, the Ash of war on your katana.
This is the most anger my guy has had in a long time. Feel sorry for my guy because he is very stressed out and mad from playing this game. I can't imagine how frustrating it will be for Senju in the future for the upcoming bosses that are even more difficult than Margit.
If u want ez way to beat him, use a co-op summon and then when it dies use an ash summon. And during the whole thing you can abuse the heavy attack stagger buildup as well as bleed. Other than that you just have to time everything and dodge his combos
You gotta get stronger before jumping right into margit. You tried fighting him in like the first 20 minutes of the game. He’s definitely not a beginner boss even though the game takes you straight to him. A lot like botw where you can go straight towards the castle but will most likely get thrashed
What's the funniest about Margrit is that you're basically supposed to explore as much as Limgrave as possible before you go to him. xD You should be around lvl 25-30 when you go there and then the fight is kind of a cakewalk because you leveled and upgraded your gear. xD It's still doable, but you're gonna make your life so much easier if you beef up before fighting him. xD
Hey, I know Im a bit late for the party but as a samurai you problably should use only the uchigatana by holding triangle and pressing R1 then pres L2 and R1 to use a very strong attack. Lol ikr. I watch these vids. So I know where not to get fucked up at lol

Actually he did pretty well without the sorcerer's help or summons if he had those he probably beat it already.
You slowly loosing your sanity is keeping mine intact. Thanks for these videos Afro.💯 Fromsoft's feeling after beating a boss is still not beaten
Only took me 2 hrs to figure it out because I was too stubborn to try different weapons
fyi you can go into a boss arena pick up your runes and quickly save quit the game, when you go back into the game you'll be at the last site of grace with all your runes
The same exact thing happened to be I beat him after literally trying all day
What I did was i let him kill me on the door to the right where he spawns and went down the stairs where the blacksmith is at and picked it up from the other side of the door
Ive only played darksouls 1 and 3 both of them once and idk why people struggle with margrit or that dude you’re talking about literally did margrit on 1st try and that dude in like 3
i've watched tons of elden ring play throughs and this is probably the most entertaining one ive watched yet

@@nimz8521 dude it's not really like that, holy crap you make it worst
@@farianandadiratama That's the thing. Some people play games like this and feel like they've accomplished something by beating a difficult boss. Other people play it and feel relieved that they don't have to play that portion again.
To me the "souls-likes" remind me of Too Human in the absolute worst way. The gameplay is so terrible that I don't want to actually play the game but the visuals and lore are interesting enough to watch someone else play it.
The funny part is that Jedi Fallen Order has scalable difficulty and loses absolutely nothing from the experience. Fallen Order makes From Software's games worse simply by existing. Respawn makes From look downright lazy by comparison.
@@nimz8521 bro if this game is too hard for you just say that LMAO no need to try and tear down the game simply because you can’t seem to figure out how to win. The appeal of these games is that it’s supposed to be hard. If you can’t see that then it’s just not for you

I’m not even fighting Margaret yet
I’m just exploring the world and leveling up, getting my weapons up and everything’s getting my flasks up, doing everything and anything I can to be strong before I even move forward with the story
It’s open world for a reason, explore, level up, practice, it doesn’t need to be hard, it’s obviously gonna be hard if you just go straight from the beginning to Margaret
i agree, there shouldnt be any pressure to grind through the main story right off the bat. some people like exploring more first and others like fighting bosses first. im doing a mixture of both; i killed margit, but im still exploring limgrave and caelid at my own pace. this game is amazing and it makes me happy that everyone else loves it too

Very pussy play style but a wins a win I suppose.
He rolled into me then i caught him with katana r1 spam and he died immediately lmao

You haven't leveled up and you missed the tutorial cave so you're not using all the attacks you can use. Go back to the cave you was in to find out the controls. The Uchigatana also has bleed so be aggressive when you can to apply bleed damage

I think it goes for any game. Always level up. U would think he would know that by now. Especially with these type of games
That’s what I am trying to do getting weapons and levling up
Where's the fun in that? I'm not playing a from soft game to give up and go level up just because a boss is challenging.

There are some very useful incantations that only really require 15 faith, like one that heals 5hp a second for 2 minutes, only costing 10fp. Very useful when roaming for sustain
Can swap that out for Blessed Dew Talisman later on. Really useful for exploring caves.

The problem is you're trying to fight like its Dark Souls, by only using lights. You need to utilise heavy attacks and the jumping attack for the stun.
True
🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
It’s not necessary to use jump in bosses haven’t encountered a boss where their attacks required a jump lol plus he’s using a dex weapon I doubt heavy attacks is even necessary for a dex weapon that does bleed build up damage he can just spam light and get that bleed build
@@KalvinKoolAidKool you're not "required" to do anything. But fromsoft have better balanced the combat in elden ring, so heavy attacks are worth using now.
@@KalvinKoolAidKool ? Godrick literally has an attack you jump over to avoid lol
That's the easiest way I've found how to beat him..
Bait him to throw his daggers, Jump up and slam down with his hammer..
Then punish him for it lol
I used the jellyfish cause its tanky as fuck
I found a merchant in murkwater cave and he sells margits shakle. That plus jellyfish makes him very easy.
I defeated him with no shields, dual wielding swords and was able to dodge all his attacks. Just learn the mechanics.
Rewatching Afro’s Elden Ring playlist just in time for the DLC just feels right

“Elden ring is too hard” next video, ALSO ITS A SERIES LETS GOOO!
This has Sekiro energy and I’m here for it. Hope this will be an entire series as well, I’ve missed this from you.
Id still say DS3 is easier tbh, but mechanically this game is better polished for sure.
@@Cres99 accessible doesn’t mean easy
@@kpj2224 He says in the same paragraph that the accessibility makes it the easier.
It's a boring way to play the game but it can make the experience easier.
ill take boring over me wanting to jump headfirst into trafic alecto is a POS
Love the South Park reference
I bet that 2 episodes from now the titles gonna be called "Elden Ring is too easy . . ."
"Elden ring needs a hard mode"
I like that every boss is different too they all have a learning curve for there patterns and timings so even being leveled it takes me a few tries to understand the boss
Some of the bosses in the side caves are copy and pasted you'll find that out

Tip: enemies have poster damage in this game, you can build it up easily using charged heavy attacks and heavy jump attacks.
It's weird how Margit is actually the one that's been frustrating and challenging for me too but other bosses after him I can kinda tolerate.
You can tolerate Goldrick??
Godricks movement is easier to recognize. Margs movements go from super fast to super slow to super fast. its incredibly frustrating. I think they're about the same difficulty but margit is a frustrating fucking boss cause he's actually the "first" required boss

Godricks movements are definitely way more telegraphed way easier to dodge
@Barbarrox 1. Take a second to look over your response you have a lot of errors 2. He explained it quite well and I agree as well, Margit's attacks aren't as telegraphed. It's not that Godrick is slow, but Margit mixes the speed of his attacks in a way many find more difficult to recognize. Same with grafted scion imo one swing is actually like 4 attacks it seems
