First time I’ve watched/heard this vid (workin’ on an ‘89 F-250 w/same screwy ass dual tank unit) & likewise concur on that timestamp funny moment… “but wait”, what’s then said @ 5:45 had me about near blowin’ my beer out my nose laughin’!!! 🤣
If you go to Jonsee Varela he cleans his up his as well. He said that little metal disk with the round orange rubber piece on it is suppose to be loose and go up and down like a one way valve. That is why there is a spring in there. Also when you put the circular plastic cap back on make sure you use fuel resistant gasket maker or it will leak. Just go around the whole ledge! Good luck!
Is there a way to uses just one side if you have one rear tank? My original reservoir has been discontinued, but this dual tank model is easier to find. Was just wondering if there’s any way I can just use one set of nipples & plug the other ones…?
Mine seems to be missing. I can not use the 2nd tank. just pours out into the street. Does that Valve Selector work for the Generator too? I just bought this thing. Gen. Does not turn on either.
So when you hit the selector switch on the dash that must turn on the pump on in the tank. The valve it self must have a check valve inside that keeps fuel from going where you don't want it?
Yur pretty much correct.. you dash switch simply alternates the 12 volts to the opposing pump and the pressure from the pump which is running pushes the diaphraam closing off the opposing flow... Thus... These systems rely on 3 pumps with one in each tank as well as the feed pump. People often blame this valve for being faulty which is sometimes not true... As if one of the tank pumps goes out then it will not be able to pressure the diaphram down/up resulting in a no switch scenario
This is one of the most under rated videos I’ve ever found on here 😂😂
LMAO @3:30--3:42 Truly a hidden gem inside this video, lol.
i almost pissed my self 😂😂

This guy sounds like he’s the same guy that was on the radio during the Hindenburg disaster
There is a filter in the reservoir you should change it and you could fill it then.

So the switch on dash is a DPDT or double Pole double throw switch set up in the typical criss cross config
Did you change the filter ?
No such thing as an EX MARINE, once a MARINE always a MARINE

There is no such animal as a x marine
