Playing through the Splatoon 3 Splatfest for "What would you bring to a deserted island?" on Nintendo Switch. Representing Team Gear and showing off multiple 100x Turf War and Tricolor Turf War battles. This gameplay occurred during the second half of the Splatfest for The Americas region. I never really got to bring up how good that 100x battle animation is, but I really love it, especially the end. it perfectly encapsulates a happy little celebration, followed by 'oh wait, we should probably pose for the camera' and then they just go.

Wild how blue got both ultra signals and orange still won. Hammerhead Bridge feels like a much more balanced tricolor map than Shipyard

Yeah, I was pretty surprised by that too. I guess having those signals in place drew a lot of attention to our side. Really got to be on top of it until the very end, even with the two signals.

@@justonegamr same, I’m like kinda certain that sturgeon shipyard was an awful map to use as a test run for tricolor while hammerhead was a lot more balanced and fun to play on

Your approach to turf war is super bizarre to me, you don't really go for kills at all, you just kinda chill and paint stuff.

It kind of depends on the weapon I'm using really. Since the Splattershot Jr. is really good at painting, I tend to focus more on covering the ground instead of trying to engage the enemy.

how did you even get tricolor?? no one could get tricolor battles

Took me around five hours to get my first. These four battles in the video are the total I've encountered from all nine hours or so of playing. Almost gave up on making this video because it felt like it wasn't gonna happen.
