Jimmy williams from the band Exposure was also good when he replaced Jimmy Ellis

Absolutely beautiful! For those of us Young Buck L.A. #Disco Heads who were "late" to the Disco Scene back in the 70's, many of us first got formerly introduced to *The* *Trammps* from the cult hit John Travolta Movie *Saturday* *Night* *Fever.* I used to drive over to a Discotheque, in the San Fernando Valley and pop in my Sat Fever OST *Soundtrack* *Cassette* straight up in the parking lot and blast that incredible dance music for the *Juicy* *Dames* coming out da Club.
Speaking of Saturday Night Fever, the Trammps used to do shows at the 2001 Odyssey Disco in Brooklyn, where of course the movie's big disco scenes were filmed. Big regret of mine as a Brooklyn kid not seeing any of those shows. 🎵
The Happy People are right here...on this very UA-cam page! How can you not love....this music?....the beat?...the bass?.... the horn section? ....the outfits?...the dance moves?...the lead singer's face and smile when he's singing??? !!!!

I was in High School when this song came out; to me this was the epitome of the Disco sound. My favorite song by them though is "Disco Party" from the same LP

This beautiful recording makes me think of when I was young. Not that that was necessarily a great thing, But everything was happy at the disco. We met our friends. Made new friends. I'm sorry to point out that it was before AIDS... and that is why my tears fall when I hear this.

Ça c'est de la bonne musique. Ça se danse, c'est du rythme. Pas comme le rapt et la techno et que sais encore. Les jeunes ne savent plus danser deux par deux et les rythmes sont indansables. Aucune mélodie dans ces fragments de bruit. Dommage pour eux.
